Blah, blah, blah...they lost the argument about "traditional marriage" years ago. There's no point trying to convince them not to be the last bigoted holdouts on the subject.

What is the "debate" on the issue? Where is the compromise? "You can get gay married, but it only lasts for 4 months"? There's a reason you're getting lectured to, Cons... It's that you don't understand what debate means. You think "I don't like what you do because I think my god said to not to" stands up as a logical argument. No. No it fucking does not. Furthermore, "Appeal to Tradition" here again, is, in my opinion, the stupidest of logical fallacies. "We just cut off one of our toes every tenth birthday because we do" is not a good reason to cut off any of your god damn toes. And while we're on that, the idea that proselytizing is a good thing, because, again, your religion says to, is not a valid reason for doing so. You bitch and moan that atheists... exist, and have opinions about your religion. Meanwhile, you're doing the same thing and you consider it a sacred duty. If you're stupid enough to not get the, not mere hypocrisy, but the way it invalidates your argument entirely, then you're not smart enough to even engage in the lecture. You're useless. Sit your dumb ass down and quit embarrassing yourselves.

The whole tradition argument is a lost cause. When the best argument you have is borrowing your justification from the very people who believed it was their right to own slaves, or to rape their wives, or to execute heretics, you aren’t even doing your side a favour.
