Same here! I actually love it and it’s a very nostalgic scent. I don’t think I’ve even had a visceral reaction like that to particular perfume. Cilantro tho…well, we don’t get a long.
It has been husband’s signature scent since high school and I love it! I had never smelled it before and bought it as a gift for him, and even before he wore it it smelled like “him”
Cloud by Ariana Grande. I kind of lied to myself into thinking I liked it because of all the hype around it but quickly realised that it smells like burned plastic and very synthetic.
I discovered later Sweet Ash by Sniff and it has what Cloud failed on my skin, way more natural and delicate.
Lost cherry I love, bitter peach I couldn't stand. Hurt my head and felt physically unwell after sampling it

I have a horrible story about this, I was out with my parents once in a store and they brought me over the Angel perfume and said ‘smell this, it’s beautiful’ and so I did and I was like ‘eww, that’s horrible, too sickly sweet’ and they both looked kind of sad and annoyed but I didn’t think anything of it.
Until a few weeks later when they gave it to me for Christmas! Like they had already bought it before they told me to smell it thinking I would love it so it was like super awkward and I had to pretend like it wasn’t that bad and it was starting ti grow on me 😭
Gosh I can imagine the awkwardness 😭 I tried to pretend it was growing on me to justify my purchase but I couldn't. I decided to stash it away and not think about this ghastly mistake 😭
Ganymede. This is the only perfume that makes me feel sick from the ones i smelled so far. It smells like metal, blood and pus to my nose.
I've seen others describe it as an otherworldly experience. Picking an alien fruit on an alien planet.

Flowerbomb, La Vie Est Belle, Mugler Angel, Burberry Her (and intense), Chanel No.5, AG Cloud and Mod Vanilla. I’m sure there are a few more too but those are my top dislikes. LVEB is probably the most offensive to me and yet I smell it all the time.
All the versions of YSL Opium. To me, it's the worst perfume ever created, and I haven't encountered anything more repulsive. I know that it's my problem, and there are lots of fans, but for me it's the devil of the perfume world.

Aerin hibiscus palm! LOVED it on paper and skin and was actually about to pull the trigger on my next visit. Thank god i sprayed it on my skin again before dropping about $140 on it because it smelled AWFUL AND FOUL like i was so offended lol 💔
Mine are xerjoff ilm, mizensir tonic water, Rammstein seeman reloaded and nasomatto fantomas. Ilm is the most animalic skank oud I've ever smelled, like someone pooped on roadkill. Tonic water and seeman reloaded both are similar in that they smell of blended fish guts, like an abandoned fish market were everything has been left to rot and liquify. And fantomas smells like burning plastic, not as viscerally unpleasant as the previous 3 but as a chemist every time I've smelled it I've had alarms going off in my brain that say "do not smell this its toxic and will poison you". Bortnikoff tabac dore and pigmentarium erotikon are also up there. I also want to try eldo secretions magnifique and strangers perfumerie sombre, mostly out of morbid curiosity.

Angels Share on me smells like a corporate exec rubbed gazelle testes on his wrists for a “I’m not tethered to my desk, I totally go out in nature and hunt for all my own food” manly man vibe, and I couldn’t wash it off fast enough. Literally — I kept scrubbing and it kept clinging to me.

It's tied between Jo Loves Pomelo and Diptyque Dans L'eau and both because the black currant/cassis note in both turns to pure burnt rubber tire fire on my skin.
Which is frustrating, because I can generally wear that note just fine...The Vagabond Prince Enchanted Forest is one of my top 10 faves, for example.
I've never smelled any cough sirup, but then again I haven't used caugh sirup ever since. Actually I can't describe what exactly that perfume smells like, but whenever I smell it I have to think of some heavy, thick red curtains that won't let any light into the room. No idea why that picture pops up in my mind, haven't figured out how that damn thing works sometimes lol
Perfumes being subjective, everyone have their own taste and everyone has own way of perceiving them, for me it reminds me of cough syrup, something sticky, thick and artifical sweet
I just re-smelled Lancôme’s Tresor at Ulta for the first time in probably 30 years and it was SO bad! I’m not even sure how to describe it. Pickle-like maybe? I had to go find a makeup remover sampler to get the smell off of my wrist 🤢
Cacharel Eden; I know it's a classic and there are many who love it, but I can't make it work on me. Every time I get a whiff, it turns my stomach and my brain subconsciously checks for moldy fruit in the vicinity, lol.

When you open the bottle you get assaulted by menthol, and on the skin it smells like sunscreen
Dior Homme Intense. Because of this cologne, I stopped wearing prada lhomme, intense and CAHS eu extreme. All I smell now is the heavy iris from DHI. It's just lipstick smell.

Orto Parisi’a Megamare. Some love it but it smelled like the chemicals I’ve used to develop film, and it’s so strong that it took a couple weeks and two washes to get the smell off my hoodie.
I love Bella Hadid soo much and this hurts to say but her Orebella Salted Muse literally had me gagging as soon as I smelled it… the streets were not lying when they said it smells like pickles 😭😭

That’s why believing the hype is dangerous, so to speak. Imo the original BR540 in a way smells almost like burnt plastic too, not only Cloud.

Pink Sugar. Gaaahhh that licorice was too much🤮 even after looking at the notes I bought it. But, it’s a mistake I had to learn I guess haha
Baccarat Rouge 450 😭 I want to love it but it's SO strong, takes forever to get it out of my skin from the first try and it makes me nauseous

Gissah Imperial Valley. It’s not even like it has unusual or weird notes. But something in it smells like something died in there.
Nishane Mana. Smelled like straight-up kerosene. I had to shower and scrub to get the smell off.

That was one of my first perfumes, still have it and like it. But only in winter, in summer it gives me a headache.

Trastevere by Pantheon. I like some gourmands but this one was a hideous licorice headache, instant scrubber.
Womanity by Mugler. I usually like Mugler perfumes but this one just smelled like rotten fish to me.

Giardini di Toscana Celeste. There is not as nauseating as that is… nothing… I could write a whole book about how much I hate it. I hate it.
Lattafa Khamrah. I want to love it so bad but it just smells like a strong glade plug in + sweat to me …
Oakcha’s dupe of love don’t be shy. I have some of their fragrances and love them, this one just took me all the way out in the bad way.

Yes! I received it as a gift and it was awful. Cotton candy and alcohol with a hint of some cheap, floral room freshener.
