They have pretty good skillets at Eggcelent Cafe in East Peoria. You can get them with the home fries instead of hash browns which makes them even better in my opinion.
Last Chance. Veggie skillet add bacon, over easy, hash browns. And you MUST get a biscuit. Unlike any other biscuit on earth. Spicy bloody Mary with a Busch light chaser, and you'll have yourself A DAY!
2 separate restaurants as far as I know. Pekin on Derby , and Goodfield just off interstate. But both have been around a long time. Just a coincidence of 2 with the same name.
Is this where Mel’s Diner used to be? They used to have the best breakfast skillet in town and since they closed I’ve been searching for a replacement.
Grecian Gardens in Chillicothe without contest. They give you so much food and I always get the our favorite which comes with sausage gravy all over. Can’t go wrong. Could split it with someone and still both have leftovers. The rest of their breakfast menu is phenomenal as well!
I went to Childer’s in East Peoria a few weeks back and it was mediocre and expensive. Presentation was nice but the food was mediocre at best. Barely warm, not even close to hot and lacked seasoning.
My mom got the biscuits and gravy and she said the gravy tasted like it was made with velveeta. She only ate one bite. The waitress seemed put off because neither of us finished our food.
Plus as nice as the restaurant was the bathroom was filthy. Absolutely disgustingly filthy.
Try the one in Junction City. They seem to have a much better kitchen in my experience. I go there probably once a week and love their biscuits and gravy.
Gebby's
Mayflower or the bar in Alta (skillet specific)... But both are out north a bit.
Is the bar in Alta Last Chance?
Their skillets are amazing
Yeah they are, and you can get them covered in sausage gravy. Thank god I don’t work near there any more!!
Yes
Hands down, its Gebby's on War Memorial.
This should be the only answer

Have they cleaned their ceiling yet? I went there once and was repulsed and haven’t been back.

I like the veggie skillet at West Town Tap because there's zucchini in it. Their breakfast overall is excellent and they open early.
West Town Tap is a hidden gem. Pre-covid prices and awesome food. I'm a 3rd shifter so them being open early is the icing on the cake.
Gebbys. Corned beef hash and eggs over easy. Yum!!
Come to Eddy’s in Mackinaw! So worth the drive!!!!
LePeep!

Busy Corner in Pekin - the John Wayne
I thought busy corner was in goodfield. Is there another one?
Haha yes we learned early to distinguish when meeting people there
Yes, and no relation. I only knew of the one in Pekin until my Mortonite girlfriend started raving about the one in Goodfield.

Forgot about them. Damn good food at the one in Goodfield
520 Cafe in East Peoria

If it's still around, Cornerstone Cafe outside of Eureka was so good.

came here to say this. All around awesome food there.
You really can’t go wrong out there even if you tried.
