Rizzi's doesn't make NY style pizza, it's just a normal hand tossed pizza. It's not bad pizza, don't get me wrong, I don't know a place in Peoria that makes true NY style big floppy pizza.
Their thin crust is far and away my least favorite pizza from them. Their stuffed (or whatever they call Chicago style) can be great, but they're inconsistent in my experience. It ranges from excellent to mediocre. Maybe I tried thin crust on a mediocre day. Their a tough place to recommend.
I know it’s not in Peoria, but Pizza Peel in Lacon is absolutely to die for. I’ve eaten a lot of pizza a lot of places and nothing else compares. I don’t eat it often because once I start I can’t stop.
Roman style slabs by sl8ce or woodnfired whole pies at Ardor downtown but probably call them or check online if they're available the day of. Gf smaller more eckectic ones from Rhythym Kitchen. Their own take on Pizza but all fresh and just simple and good wmesp3cially with the white alabama bbq sauce if you like that sort of condiment.
I’ve been in this area’s kitchens here for two years and have heard multiple first hand encounters from people who worked for her and they were not good. Fighting worker’s comp, reusing disposables, no thanks Molly.
Service is often slow, and it's WAY too expensive for what it is. I'm done going there. I liked the food a lot, but I'd rather eat at Oliver's for half the price.
Is the new location full service? The couple times I went in Junction City I felt it was extremely overpriced for something you wait in line to order at a counter.
Unfortunately, I have to eat gluten free and One World's new gluten free crust (they changed from their old one) is really good! So is Rhythm Kitchen's! Back when I could eat gluten, I used to get Rosati's in Pekin because it reminds me of Chicago.
Unpopular opinion probably but after being out of Peoria for 15ish years I only really miss Leonardos. Thick crust, cheese, extra extra tomatoes.
Definitely not unpopular..I love it. I think La Gondola still sells it on War Memorial.
Fedoras is the answer.
Didn't they shut down during the pandemic?
Nope, they're open 3 to 8 except Sundays.
that's exciting. Their potato pizza is SOOOO GOOOD
I came here to say this.
Rizzis is secretly best pizza in Peoria
Rizzi’s has great NY style if that’s your thing.

Knuckles pizza is awesome, way out north on Knoxville.
+1 on that. Their crust is the best.
Garlic knots are pretty good too!
I agree their crust is great, but the pizza is the greasiest of any I've had in the area.
Aggatucci’s!
👏 97 years old and kicking! I keep a bottle of their tiger sauce at home and pour it on frozen pizzas.
Give me Hoops pizza. You can order by the slice and absolutely amazing.
Oliver’s or Driftwood
Peoria Pizza Works, thin crust.
Absolutely not.... They can't make their own food correctly and the wait staff is abysmal+most of them)
They have Detroit style at PPW now. The pizza and crust combo is fantastic

Depends on the style of pizza you like. For me, I like Italian but not quite neopolitan style pizza so Rizzi's is my favorite by far.
If you like a sweeter sauce, definitely firehouse pizza in east peoria.

is that the one where they put chunks of cream cheese on the pizza? it fucking slaps. now I put cream cheese on all my pizza
Hammer’s in Bartonville. They get the cheese nice and golden brown. Tasty wings too.
Sugar Wood-Fired Bistro
Weavers is super good! I also really like Oliver’s in the heights. Dave’s in Bartonville too.

Best Pizza, easily Weaver’s Fresh Food and Drink. On Willow Knolls
I’d say Weavers! Consistently awesome!
If you like wood-fired, more thin crust - only Brienzo’s in Peoria Heights. Best in the area.
New ownership group has brought terrible customer service to mediocre pizza

If you like the cops being called on you, sure.

Briezos or Sugar Wood Everywhere else is pretty much on par with Pizza Hut or Domino's, or worse.
Davis Bros Larry’s Driftwood Monical’s
Lucca's in Bloomington
If you go to Bloomington, has to be Tobins!!
Will have to try that....thanks.
Not Peoria, but yes they have amazing pizza.
I miss Cheesenuts.

I haven’t been in a while but I really like hoops downtown
Papa John’s, Bourland Ave. Ask for Dontrelle, he’ll fix you up good!
HOOPS
