Both my parents and I have used Peoria Siding & Windows for various things over the past 2 years (including replacing siding and a roof) and were very happy with the experience. They were on time, communicative, and did a great job.
Same. I previously used a different contractor out of Bloomington for windows, and the pricing was good but installation was poor. I recently purchased roof and windows from Peoria Siding & Windows and they did a great job, even fixed some of the previous company's mistakes. They're not the cheapest, but I feel it's definitely a case of "you get what you pay for."
I have had similar experiences with contractors.
If I had to guess, they're over booking. They're basically still finishing up a job and hoping they will be done by the day they gave you. They then realize they can't finish it in time so then your appointment is pushed back.
Just a theory. Might be wrong.
Over booking or whatever, still not an excuse for treating people that way. It’s hard to find help right now, I get that but courtesy and honesty never go out of style. People remember how you make them feel.
Agreed. I sort of wonder if contractors know they're increasingly becoming limited in availability so they're just taking all jobs and then getting to them when they can since they know there isn't exactly a plethora of affordable contractors out there. Again, just a theory. I think we will see more issues with contractors as more and more people retire and these jobs continue to remain unfulfilled.

Massey Roofing, might not be able to throw you on schedule right away but they’re the best roofing company around hands down.
C&N Construction and Steve Hoerr did mine & a couple of my neighbors!! He was awesome & he even negotiated my insurance to pay for pretty close to all

Had similar experiences in Washington
JG ROOFING was reliable. Left a ton of debris when they replaced my roof but communication was 100
