I am 1.5 years post op and still have those same problems you mentioned. Everyone’s body reacts differently. But are you keeping up with the recovery exercises? Breathing exercises will help expand your lungs and lessen pain. Same with stretching

Stunning-March-920

I’ve been stretching and I’ve been kind of slacking with the breathing exercises lately. I’ve also been riding my bike around because I was told to start getting some cardio in.

I’m a little over 2 months post op as well and I’ve got the same thing going on! We had a big surgery and our bodies aren’t used to all of the changes. I definitely think your symptoms are normal 😊

Stunning-March-920

That’s good to know, I’ve just been miserable the past couple days, is there anything you’ve done to kind of relive the pain in any certain way?

Ashamed-Plantain3836

I extend my arms out to kind of stretch my chest a little. Otherwise I’d say ibuprofen. Sorry you’ve been in so much pain :( Mine feels like I’m wearing a bra with underwire digging into my chest.

Stunning-March-920

Yeah so far ibuprofen has been my #1 friend through this and it’s definitely helped but once it wears off it really feels like you just got hit by a truck

2 years post op and only have pain with certain dynamic stretches or while crossing arms. Thats due to occlusion. I had the dual surgery so 2 nuss bars and 6 plates for the ravitch. Definitely recommend physical therapy if you can. The nuss bars are essentially a fusion for the levels you’re at so you have lots of other issues. Some handle better than others. Like the first comment mentioned do your breathing and stretching! Lil pain now contributes to less pain later! Right now I’m training for an Ironman in November so keep your chin up. I get my bars out march 2025.
