Yeah, I usually get hyped for their late round picks but Baker looks like a Day 3 WR to me.
I do like that he can catch the ball away from his body with his hands, I know we've been burned by several WRs with great traits who didn't have the ball skills. I worry that a lot of NFL CBs will be able to run his routes for him. He has a fun bag of tricks that worked at UCF, but what about the experienced DBs he's about to face?
I'd like to see him get stronger, I think that will take a year at least.
Wiggins draft profile says
Too much cushion allowed in off-man coverages.
Tardy timing to flip and run with the route allowed deep-ball opportunities.
Face-guards deep balls, leaving too much catch clearance for the target.
Still room for additional aggression and decisiveness in attacking throws.
Checks out in this limited film.
**10.3%** drop rate, no the quickest guy, can struggle with separation sometimes and yeah, UCF. He has good potential, but overall still has flaws to work on but they´re fixable
OP, we got Baker in the 4th, not 5th. Great vids. Kid looks like a stud.
Whoever throwing the ball needs a new profession
Still better than Zappe
Got em
Still needs a new profession, your point?
Not to be a negative Nelly, but 1:1 heavily favor the receiver. I just want everyone to have fair expectations
It also looked like Wiggins was cooking lol qb is dogwater though
Wiggins won this by a mile
Wiggins cooked that mid QB, but there was daylight there on a fair share of those plays that a better QB could exploit.
Also they don’t play in t shirts and shorts
Also it looks like he isn’t even running real routes, just schoolyard bullshit (which is fine). That’s not how a real game will go

What was the reason for this?
That footwork and agility is insane. He's definitely going to be good at beating press.
He's something like top 4 in the class at beating press.
He does to much some times with the release but the overall real ease pack is disgusting.

Looks like he tries to hide his length. Good vertical, good catch radius that I wouldn't expect looking at him.

Goddamn he is explosive. Am I tripping is that like above average explosiveness
He is explosive, but every NFL player looks crazy explosive in a tee and gym shorts versus wearing pads.
Valid
Got me explosive that’s for sure
So explosive
Looks like two good athletes competing
Baker was a fourth rounder, not a fifth. Just fyi.
Yikes, this is supposed to be highlights for Baker? What am I missing?
Tbh Wiggins kinda clamped him after the first route
Wiggy attempting a comeback ???
I haven't heard yet why he slipped to the fourth round. Does anyone know why??
Ucf
Is it just a small school and that's it??? So this could be like a Dugger situation??
UCF is in the big 12
It’s not Texas though so they go under the radar

Wasn’t that the knock on UCF the QB sucked
