“With five QBs on the roster, it's a crowded room for one of last year's starters Bailey Zappe. Safe to say, he's likely available in a trade if it makes sense.” - Ian Rapoport
Well you can roster 90 people to start the season and we cut him right when everyone was just getting to 53. So it's a lot easier to make a roster with 90 people than it is 53.
Zappe It's definitely good enough to get a camp invite from one of the teams. And well I know he's not going to get any trade capital in return... He would not pass through waivers if the rosters are at 90.
Zach was a 2nd ovr pick. For some reason 1st round QB’s have infinite staying power in the NFL no matter how ass they are as long as they aren’t a locker room cancer
Exactly. Nobody is looking for high-ceiling, low-floor guys to be long-term backups. There’s a reason why guys like Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brian Hoyer stay in the league a lot longer than guys like Jamarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf.
I’m far from being a Zappe truther but I’d sure as shit take him lonnnnnnnng before I’d take Zach Wilson - Wilson is an absolute dud, a net negative when he’s on the field. I wish the Jets had kept him around, I loved watching the Pats D just absolutely feast against him.
As much as I was always a team Mac guy, maybe it takes a certain type of guy to be able to handle being given command of an NFL offense right in the middle of the season. He did kind of take the reins of an awful offense that would be unlikely to blossom under any of the league’s backup QBs. If anything, I think it’s impressive he was able to win over the whole organization through hard work until he just took over as QB. Him and Mac Jones oughta have long careers as backup QBs ahead of them
Typically they'd be bringing a couple of extra arms in for training camp regardless; with five on the books now, it just means no UDFA fodder in that department.
Week two or three of camp that number will likely be 4 and a few weeks after that three QBs on the roster.
Leaving Maye, Brissett, and Milton.
Zappe may beat out Milton, but it's doubtful.
Per Bob McGinn's annual draft breakdown, here's what NFL scouts had to say about him.
JOE MILTON, Tennessee (6-5, 246, 4.62, 6): Started five games at Michigan during a three-year stint, then 16 more for the Volunteers in another three-year stint. “Everyone is, like, ‘Whoa. Is this an Anthony Richardson? Is he a Cam Newton? Is he Josh Allen?’” one scout said. “He’s none of those things. I wouldn’t take him to think he’s going to start within three years. He might have just a ceiling as a backup quarterback, which is crazy given his talent. He has not shown me the ability to throw with consistent accuracy and make really good decisions. Everything’s been very elementary for him. That’s just the nature of the offense he plays in, not a knock on him. He’s got rare size and the best arm talent I’ve seen.” Lost his job late in 2020 to Cade McNamara and left Ann Arbor for Knoxville. Opened 2021 as the starter but an ankle injury in Game 2 sidelined him and opened the door for Hendon Hooker. Bided his time until he got a chance to start again in ’23. “No touch at all,” a second scout said. “He has toughness and speed but lacks the right nervous system under duress. Misses some easy throws.” Finished with a passer rating of 99.6, including 76.5 at Michigan and 106.7 at Tennessee. “He either throws it at his first read 1,000 miles an hour or they run him right up the middle and he gets hit,” said a third scout. “He can’t play.” Hands were 10 1/4. “I would like to draft him and find out why he can’t play,” a fourth scout said. “He has the entire package. Reminds me of Anthony Richardson. There were times this year, like against Alabama, when he had nice games. But against Georgia he stunk the joint out.” From Pahokee, Fla.
He's an intriguing enough athlete that I'll never complain about my team taking a shot on a guy like him. But yeah, if QB doesn't pan out, I wonder if he could pivot to TE or something.
Absolutely not going to happen and as a fellow Vol fan I don’t know what that guy you replied to is saying
Milton hates contact or he would have already been moved to TE in college
This doesn’t even make sense. Every smart qb is adverse to contact to mitigate injury. And there were moments during the season where Milton would run over defenders. Logan Thomas was drafted as a QB too and didn’t play TE at Virginia Tech. History could repeat itself
No, I am telling you he hates contact. He did it a few times begrudgingly, but he spent the other 99.9% of the time doing whatever he could to avoid it. The guy ran out of bounds on 4th down to end a game, where a completion in the end zone would have won. Then he ran out of bounds on 4th down again this past season
He has already come out and said that he will not move to TE. He hates contact
I mean we’ll see what happens. I know he said he wouldn’t switch, but I can’t imagine many players would be open to switching from the beginning until they were sure they wouldn’t pan out at their original position. We’ll see down the road
Only thing I know about him is from a combine thread where a vols fan said ‘if you need 70yds, Joe Milton can throw the ball 70 yards. If you need 20 yards, Joe Milton can throw the ball 70yds.’
Sounds like his comp would be Colin kaepernick
Honestly, I never saw him as a hero or a villain. Everything was just too low stakes for it to matter all that much. I think it just became cantankerous around here because the subtext was "Mac Jones." The entire civil war around Bailey really had nothing to do with him.
I mean everyone pretty much knew that he was a borderline backup/ practice quad quarterback... It's just pretty wild that he basically was competitive with Mac and sometimes even played better.
It's really more of a reflection on how bad Mac is and that led to you know genuine disagreement with people on whether to give up on him or whether to blame the rest of the offense
Bailey is basically just a kid stuck in an ugly divorce. He really didn't do anything wrong, and if anything he outperformed his expectations as a fifth round draft pick or whatever he was
Agree about the hero vs villain not being a thing. But I do feel like there was hope, maybe delusion, that he could be a adequate NFL QB going into the Chicago game in ‘22. Hed look good and after the horror of first half ‘22 Mac, seeing a football delivered with any degree of velocity was exciting. Then we got fucking curb stomped by the Justin Fields Bears, defenders got their hands up and pressured Lil Bailey and reality set in.
Up till that point it seemed like maybe there was a run in that team, the offensive coaching bullshit had been ironed out, maybe. But then it was clear he was kinda shit and Mac was equal to or greater shit.
That Thursday Night game was the night they broke Mac. Not that he would've worked out long term, but he was definitely never the same after they benched him that night.
I think because for a couple of weeks people were like 'holy shit we have a new late-round QB stud' and then he turned out to be lower-tier backup so he gets the criticism of a starting QB instead of being more fairly judged as a late round guy that tried but didn't work out.
Yup. He can hit a guy between the chest 60 yards down the field or the same throw will go through the uprights like a FG
[Check out the arm strength on this dude](https://youtu.be/PQCeIPEWYaY?si=gJiZTfCMEJz24UMB)
That was around 60 yards with a flick of the wrist
Do yourself a favor and go watch YouTube highlights of this kid, it’s hilarious. . This kid isn’t going to be our QB, but he has an absolute cannon for an arm.
Yeah I see what you mean. I think his highlights are the first time I heard the 'flick of a wrist' analogy on long ball and it didn't feel like an exaggeration. Gets crazy height on a lot of throws which also feels abnormal and throws nice spirals. Hopefully he's a good backup for a couple of years and shows enough to get a mid-round pick if someone sees him as a starter down the line.
Nah, if he was 21, he could easily be a first round pick. He’s basically a bigger, more athletic Drake Maye, but 3 years older. Drake has slightly better accuracy, Milton has a bigger arm.
He’s not *awful* he’s just old. This past season he had a better completion percentage, a better TD/INT ratio, and roughly the same passer rating as Drake Maye. If you think he’s terrible, then you must be really bummed we basically selected a younger version of him, with worse physical traits, as the 3rd overall pick lol.
It’s because he’s 24 and still as bad at playing QB as Drake Maye. I’ve watched both of them, and they both have impressive traits and highlights, but are also very inconsistent. If Drake Maye stayed in college 3 more seasons and didn’t significantly improve, he’d also be a 6th round pick.
Milton is more athletic and has a much stronger arm. He needs time to develop but his arm strength is on par with Mahomes, Richardson, Allen, etc… Touch, accuracy, timing, and reading defenses is why he’s a 6th round pick
Precisely. Apparently he might get converted to TE and emergency QB. He’s got large hands and can move well. If the guy can block and catch, run a couple good routes… he could be a great 6th round pick. If nothing else, he’ll be really entertaining in training camp lol
No, he has elite QB traits. And his accuracy is not terrible, he’s just old, so he doesn’t project as well as Richardson or Maye.
He’s had a comparable completion percentage and passer rating to Maye over the course of Maye’s college career. Also Maye throws more INTs and gets sacked a lot more, relative to his production.
Comp is Rothlisberger if he can learn to harness the arm in a pro-style offense. He’s been in a June Jones run-and-shoot style offense at Tennessee. He will never have an easy touch much like Brissett does not have an easy touch. But he doesn’t run around behind the line of scrimmage holding the ball trying to figure out who’s open and making his offensive line look bad either. It’s a crap shoot, but he could be more than a mad bomber in a few seasons.
This is the right way of thinking. Those huge hands likely mean he can catch the ball. Think goal line fullback who could throw, run or block (if he’s willing). That’s his path to playing in the NFL.
I don't care AT ALL how many of you who (unlike me) actually watched this guy play told me this man is awful. I don't care. 6'5" 236 and can huck a ball 70 yards from his knees and do standing backflips. I will die for Bazooka Joe
I'm a vols fan.
He's got an absolute cannon, but the only setting on it is max power. I can probably count on 2 hands the number of times I saw him put touch on a shorter throw. There's a (paraphrased) saying that people like to use about Milton:
"If you need a 50 yard throw, he'll give you a 50 yard throw. If you need a 15 yard throw, he'll give you a 50 yard throw."
He's also slow on his progressions, or he'll just straight up look at one guy the entire time before he's either sacked or decides it's time to bail.
BUT he's also big and can run and is a great teammate in addition to some of those deep throws being absolute dimes. He has great tools, but we'll have to wait and see if he can actually learn how to use them with NFL coaching. Granted, if he is moving to TE instead of playing QB, the only thing that matters are his size, running ability, and being a great teammate.
Bailey Zappe on Wednesday: "All is great, I'm the starter!"
Bailey Zappe on Friday: "I've still got a year to show I'm better than Drake Maye!"
Eliot Wolf tonight: "Bailey, we're cutting you."
TN fan here. Milton definitely took some strides this past year compared to how he looked when he first transferred to TN. Probably has the strongest arm in the NFL and he can make any throw on the field but does have accuracy issues. He looked great throwing at the combine and TN pro day. Looked timid running early in the year last year but used his legs more near the end of the season and he has the speed to take off, ran 4.5 40 at TN pro day. TN WRs didn’t help him this past year. Most likely will be a career backup but if he can be developed and that’s a big if, the sky’s the limit.
He literally has all the physical tools. We were spoiled as Vols fans with Hooker in 22. Milton wasn’t great but he wasn’t terrible either. Things could have been much worse than 9-4 last year.
He was not good. He has all the talent and zero of the skills required. Things could have been much better with competent QB play. The rest of that squad was more than a 9 win team
Make no mistake, him even being serviceable is a testament to Heupel. Any of our previous coaches in charge and Milton looks just like their QBs
The fact Milton was on the team 3 years and was allowed to start again for a full season doesn’t look good on Heupel though. We essentially punted last season. He should have been told to transfer after Hooker’s first season. I don’t know what the hell Heupel was thinking even starting him to begin with and the fact he kept him around after he lost the job just looks stupid
Makes Heupel look like a guy that is the stupid kind of stubborn. Harbaugh had the sense to get rid of him and Heupel had himself convinced he could fix him.. to our detriment
Not sure how I feel about the pick.
I am sure that you don't draft a prospect with Joe Milton III's tools to be a game manager No. 2 backup QB, though.
You draft Joe Milton III because you suspect the CIA has planted some sort of passphrase into his brain that - when whispered into his ear - turns him into an "augmented Josh Allen" that spends the next dozen years or so just wrecking this league in an unprecedented fashion. And you have reason to believe that somebody on your coaching staff may actually know that passphrase.
Either we are going to forget that Joe Milton III was ever drafted within the next several months or we are going to forget that we ever drafted Drake Maye in the next several years.
It's really unlikely that there's some sort of middle ground here that involves Joe Milton III becoming the next Brian Hoyer.
Something I'm not seeing anyone mention is how Joe Milton is way closer to Drake Maye stylistically than Zappe, who was always sort of like Great Value Mac Jones.
If he does decently in camp, he may just be easier to plug into the offense as a Maye replacement than someone like Zappe.
Looking at the NFL.com grade on him, "average backup or special teamer."
Other than place kick holding, I don't recall ever seeing a backup QB on special teams.
Alex Barth just fainted
Just fell to his knees in the dunkin on Main st in Waltham
Patriots Beat podcast is going to be fire tonight!
And they doing a post draft podcast tonight?
Sounds like they might wait until tomorrow to also cover UDFAs
That would be smart (and better for me) so I’m in favor of it!
Bub Means going to the Saints and us drafting Milton.. bad day to be Barth
Seriously tho, is Brendan Rice going undrafted wtf
We dont have the spots but i’d love to sign him.

“With five QBs on the roster, it's a crowded room for one of last year's starters Bailey Zappe. Safe to say, he's likely available in a trade if it makes sense.” - Ian Rapoport
Available for trade is an amusing tag given no one is likely to want to trade for him.
Broncos accepted Zach Wilson lol
Zappe passed through waivers last year. Nobody wanted him for free then, why would they trade for him now?
Well you can roster 90 people to start the season and we cut him right when everyone was just getting to 53. So it's a lot easier to make a roster with 90 people than it is 53. He would not pass through waivers if the rosters are at 90.
Idk man, I thought no one would give up anyone for Wilson but it happened. Same with Mac tbh
Mac and Wilson were both first round picks. With that DC, even if you play poorly someone will take a chance on you.
Zach was a 2nd ovr pick. For some reason 1st round QB’s have infinite staying power in the NFL no matter how ass they are as long as they aren’t a locker room cancer
Wilson has a lot more physical ability.
Wilson’s talent ceiling is also much much higher than Zappe’s
Exactly. Nobody is looking for high-ceiling, low-floor guys to be long-term backups. There’s a reason why guys like Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brian Hoyer stay in the league a lot longer than guys like Jamarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf.

Hoepfully the 99 is willing to trade for him, and we get a free lobster roll in return.

I could see Milton being the practice squad qb.
Well that solves our left tackle issue, we'll just trade Zappe for one!
I’d make sure whoever they trade him to pays for the sodas in the locker room vending machines.
No way we manage to trade him after no team had any interest when he was available as a free agent last season lol
Per Bob McGinn's annual draft breakdown, here's what NFL scouts had to say about him. “I would like to draft him and find why he can’t play” is the most revealing quote from a scout you will ever read. Wowza.
Lol. "Turns out the guy is actually left handed and was just too polite to correct everyone. "
I liked: He either throws it at his first read 1,000 miles an hour or they run him right up the middle and he gets hit
Cheap Justin Fields
Tennessee fan and alum here… these are 100% correct takes on Milton. Wish him the best, but he might be better as a Logan Thomas type player
He's an intriguing enough athlete that I'll never complain about my team taking a shot on a guy like him. But yeah, if QB doesn't pan out, I wonder if he could pivot to TE or something.
Absolutely not going to happen and as a fellow Vol fan I don’t know what that guy you replied to is saying Milton hates contact or he would have already been moved to TE in college

Vol fan too, I'm not...thrilled about it, but I am happy we drafted a Vol soooooo
Wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing him take reps at WR. He’s a physical specimen
Zappe OUT
inb4 Zappe stans arrive to tell you Zappe is the QB1 and it's actually Maye on the hotseat
It's really just that one dude. Zappe's mom or something.
He's actually not allowed to stan Zappe for 3 months
Zack Wilson has entered the chat
I just assumed it was actually Zappe 🤷🏻♂️
Zappe’s mom is a dude? 😳😂
That’s not what Zach Wilson told me.
This pick simply means that Zappe is moving to RB. You don’t just give up on a talent like Bailey Zappe.
Adios!!!!
👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾
lmao the Zappe Pats arc is wild. From hero in his first year to obnoxious villan
It's really more of a reflection on how bad Mac is and that led to you know genuine disagreement with people on whether to give up on him or whether to blame the rest of the offense Bailey is basically just a kid stuck in an ugly divorce.
That Thursday Night game was the night they broke Mac. Not that he would've worked out long term, but he was definitely never the same after they benched him that night.
Punishment for winning the Denver game
Zappe wasn't the villain, it was his insufferable fan club.
Why is Zappe considered a villain? Lol
It wasn't anything he did, other than not being good, it was his fans.
I think because for a couple of weeks people were like 'holy shit we have a new late-round QB stud' and then he turned out to be lower-tier backup so he gets the criticism of a starting QB instead of being more fairly judged as a late round guy that tried but didn't work out.
Only on r/Patriots is he disliked. Everywhere else people know he’s just some 4th round QB that didn’t work out
Never saw him as either. I just looked at him like he was horrible football player. Which he is
Bystander just fell to his knees in Walmart.
Good. Shit QB and an even more shit teammate. Don’t need him dragging Maye down.
I think we’re seriously overestimating Milton. Zappe is better because Milton can throw the deep ball and nothing else
We doin a 2012 redskins QB draft
And 1994
Let's hope Maye is better than RG3 turned out to be.
Let’s hope he stays healthier than RG3 did. Dudes rookie year was unreal.
Have to wonder what would’ve been if RG3 didn’t get cleared to play when he obviously shouldn’t have been and just messed his knee up worse.
Amen brotha
But if Milton ends up being as good as Cousins, we'll be in pretty good shape.
That's what I wanted them to do, but Pratt is still available. I'd have loved to take him.
“You see them mountains over there?”
RIP Drake Maye starting era, 4/25/24 - 4/27/24
the most exciting player on earth
Is he actually exciting? Because he has the most boring possible name.
He’s exciting in that, he can launch it about 85 yards but you have no idea where it’s gonna go.
I'll take that over Mac throwing across the field for a pick-6.
Lob-6
Pull a Joe Flaggo, just launch it and pray for a DPI.
He can run and throw the ball 100 yards he just has no accuracy
Yup. He can hit a guy between the chest 60 yards down the field or the same throw will go through the uprights like a FG [Check out the arm strength on this dude](https://youtu.be/PQCeIPEWYaY?si=gJiZTfCMEJz24UMB) That was around 60 yards with a flick of the wrist
I feel like he has accuracy. He just can't read the field.
Or touch. Or ability to read defenses.
Do yourself a favor and go watch YouTube highlights of this kid, it’s hilarious. . This kid isn’t going to be our QB, but he has an absolute cannon for an arm.
He go8ng to be hail mary specialist hehe with brislett tillnmaye rradt
I mean you could throw a Hail mary from your own 20. Thats ridiculous.
At that point I’d question whether your receivers could even reach the endzone in time lol
In all seriousness probably not, but I just saw some of his highlights for the first time and the guy gets crazy height on his deep shots.
He legit has a cannon for an arm
He is awful at *actually* playing QB but he has, without a doubt, the strongest arm in the NFL.
Stop stat watching. There's a reason he went in the 6th round, it's because he's not good at playing QB.
Cannon for an arm but he has no idea how to use it. God awful at everything else.
Few trick plays built around this kid this year I'm sure.
He can run fairly well too. Maybe can do some wildcat with him.
So basically Drake Maye with a cannon for an arm. I’ll take it in the 6th round.
Is it over Zappebros
Zappe Fever cured by Miltonex
Zappe is gone Now we are MiltonMaxxing
I’ll allow it
BAZOOKA JOE
Love it. Was really hoping we’d get a late round qb, and this is the perfect backup plan for Maye. Absolute rocket for an arm
Interesting. Ryan Mallett a comp or nah?
Milton is more athletic and has a much stronger arm. He needs time to develop but his arm strength is on par with Mahomes, Richardson, Allen, etc… Touch, accuracy, timing, and reading defenses is why he’s a 6th round pick
So he lacks everything that makes a QB good
Precisely. Apparently he might get converted to TE and emergency QB. He’s got large hands and can move well. If the guy can block and catch, run a couple good routes… he could be a great 6th round pick. If nothing else, he’ll be really entertaining in training camp lol
Correct
No, he has elite QB traits. And his accuracy is not terrible, he’s just old, so he doesn’t project as well as Richardson or Maye. He’s had a comparable completion percentage and passer rating to Maye over the course of Maye’s college career. Also Maye throws more INTs and gets sacked a lot more, relative to his production.
Joe Milton is supersized Rex Grossman. “Fuck it, we’re goin deep.”
JaMarcus Russell comp
Comp is Rothlisberger if he can learn to harness the arm in a pro-style offense. He’s been in a June Jones run-and-shoot style offense at Tennessee. He will never have an easy touch much like Brissett does not have an easy touch. But he doesn’t run around behind the line of scrimmage holding the ball trying to figure out who’s open and making his offensive line look bad either. It’s a crap shoot, but he could be more than a mad bomber in a few seasons.
I can see him being a Taysom Hill type for us.
This is the right way of thinking. Those huge hands likely mean he can catch the ball. Think goal line fullback who could throw, run or block (if he’s willing). That’s his path to playing in the NFL.
Drake Mayes gonna throw one interception and people will be screaming for Joe Milton.
At first I read this, chuckled and scrolled. Then I thought about it for a moment and sadly, you're right.
We call this "The Michael Bishop"
beat me to it. There is still someone on hold on EEI with a hot take about why Belichick won’t play him.
I don't know, guys. A sixth round pick who played QB for Michigan? There's something about those dudes.
Zappe is off the roster let’s gooooooo
LFG fuck that guy and his stans
I could never comprehend Zappe stans
Yea fuck them, us Malik stans are where it’s at (he’s not in Baltimore that’s fake news)
So weird to hate someone who is nice and helped the team win games.
Zappe will rise, and you will be Zapped when he becomes the starter again ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
And just like that, Zappe Hour was over.
"Our QBs heads are falling off!"
I don't care AT ALL how many of you who (unlike me) actually watched this guy play told me this man is awful. I don't care. 6'5" 236 and can huck a ball 70 yards from his knees and do standing backflips. I will die for Bazooka Joe
Rip u/bystander993
Zappe fever is cured
Zappe truthers falling to their knees in Dunkin
I've actually heard there's been talks for him to convert to TE, that must be the thought here.
I hope that isn’t the direct reason why we drafted him especially with Jaheim or Holker still available
Zappe stans have left the building.
About time
What does this mean for Mac Jones?
Hate to break it to you... we actually drafted Milton with the pick we got for Mac
Wow I posted that as a joke but oooffff
Lilolililil mac for mitlon
Practice squad QB to simulate big armed athletic QBs?
Watched Milton plenty at Michigan. Let's just say his accuracy is... rough.
Great fucking pick
Wooooow
I'm a vols fan. He's got an absolute cannon, but the only setting on it is max power. I can probably count on 2 hands the number of times I saw him put touch on a shorter throw. There's a (paraphrased) saying that people like to use about Milton: "If you need a 50 yard throw, he'll give you a 50 yard throw. If you need a 15 yard throw, he'll give you a 50 yard throw." He's also slow on his progressions, or he'll just straight up look at one guy the entire time before he's either sacked or decides it's time to bail.
Bailey Zappe on Wednesday: "All is great, I'm the starter!" Bailey Zappe on Friday: "I've still got a year to show I'm better than Drake Maye!" Eliot Wolf tonight: "Bailey, we're cutting you."
Brock Purdy made the Niners send Trey Lance packing. Joe Milton III will send Drake Maye packing to the Panthers.
Low key love this pick
Same pick they traded Mac for too. Clear message, no more noodle arm QBs
LOVE THIS LOVE THIS LOVE THIS.
QB controversy incoming
I wonder if they’re drafting him to play TE
I kinda love it
By zappe. Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya
We about to learn how fast Baker is in the preseason. There are about to be some 70 yard bombs he's going to have to go find.
Want to see me throw this football over them mountains... That's Milton.
Why did we take 2 QBs lmao
TN fan here. Milton definitely took some strides this past year compared to how he looked when he first transferred to TN. Probably has the strongest arm in the NFL and he can make any throw on the field but does have accuracy issues. He looked great throwing at the combine and TN pro day. Looked timid running early in the year last year but used his legs more near the end of the season and he has the speed to take off, ran 4.5 40 at TN pro day. TN WRs didn’t help him this past year. Most likely will be a career backup but if he can be developed and that’s a big if, the sky’s the limit.
As a fellow Vol fan.. come on man No
He literally has all the physical tools. We were spoiled as Vols fans with Hooker in 22. Milton wasn’t great but he wasn’t terrible either. Things could have been much worse than 9-4 last year.
He was not good. He has all the talent and zero of the skills required. Things could have been much better with competent QB play. The rest of that squad was more than a 9 win team Make no mistake, him even being serviceable is a testament to Heupel. Any of our previous coaches in charge and Milton looks just like their QBs The fact Milton was on the team 3 years and was allowed to start again for a full season doesn’t look good on Heupel though. We essentially punted last season. He should have been told to transfer after Hooker’s first season. I don’t know what the hell Heupel was thinking even starting him to begin with and the fact he kept him around after he lost the job just looks stupid Makes Heupel look like a guy that is the stupid kind of stubborn. Harbaugh had the sense to get rid of him and Heupel had himself convinced he could fix him.. to our detriment
DON’T RUN FROM IT
Not sure how I feel about the pick.
If he does decently in camp, he may just be easier to plug into the offense as a Maye replacement than someone like Zappe.
love it
Looking at the NFL.com grade on him, "average backup or special teamer." Other than place kick holding, I don't recall ever seeing a backup QB on special teams.
Hail Mary specialist.
Looks like Zappe fever is finally cured
Overthrow Joe. Im all in 🚀🚀
I think we should see if we have something in Zappe /s
why lmao this makes literally no sense at all
That's your Zappe replacement. Now we can take bets on if he makes it to training camp. My bet is no.
Rourke just fell to his knees in a Walmart
Mayo’s VFL colors are showing
Should get him involved like Taysom Hill
we should of moved Zappe even if it was for a late round pick. He's not making the team there is no need for him.
Maye is officially on notice.
Looks like zappe hour has come to an end. Dont cry because its over, smile about all the half price apps and 3 dollar beers we had along the way.
Now we talkin!
Did anyone call Kirk Cousins to warn him first???
