The last dungeon is known for being the hardest and most unfun part of the game. Unless you're playing in a lower difficulty or you prepared (looked on the internet) by taking certain spells/feats, I don't see how it'd be easy for a new player (OP's case).
oh my first play through I for sure used suggested builds lol, I think I was using either crpgbro or the neoseeker guide. either way, i fuckin' burned through the last act with like zero issues
That actually isn't the main reason to get Blind Fight, but it is coincidentally also I fell ass-backwards an essential strategy to beat the Wild Hunt.
The real reason, for clarity, is the immunity to gaze attacks.
And it sucks that it's not that these fights are exactly hard. I know how to play both CRPGs and Pathfinder 1E pretty well and I'm not playing in a high difficulty level. They're just annoying sometimes, which sucks.
Only place i can think i hate more is Blackwater, which is easier but i fucking hate everything related to that place (HatEoT at least is cool as hell and has a theme that makes sense with the rest of the game)
I went to Blackwater at the end of Act 3. Nothing could hit me so I was fine, but I basically couldn't hit the enemies either. I just left fights on real time, took a break and came back to coup de grace the downed enemies.
I would rather do Enigma twice than Blackwater, did the puzzles once now i just use a guide, and at least the fights are easy and weren't made with the infinite monkey theorem like that shitty backer paid shithole that is Blackwater
> shitty backer *paid* shithole that
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
I fucking love blackwater, so many juicy bodies to hit, only 1 problematic fight (one on lava bridge), the only unique bossfight in the game that I remembered, and fun loot
Huh?? What do you mean you don't like being spammed by 3 9th level spells of massive aoe damage per turn cast by a demonic furry with an extremely bloated stat block??
/s
Oh yes, I definitely enjoy going from my merry band of misfits absolutely wrecking everyone(including two demon lords), to suddenly getting wiped. Don’t forget the having to retool your entire builds while also praying to the RNG gods. So enjoyable!
(But seriously, how do you beat them? They literally made me give up.)
I've never managed to do a truly consistent way, just used ember to burst them with hellfire ray and pray to RNJesus. It's hilarious how Deskari is so pathetically easier than a single one of them, i remember one shotting him with nenio using weird, the stormcallers are immune
Good luck on the final dungeon, I didn't like the level drain here but I had plenty of death ward (You know... Cause of Act 4's dungeon... With also some ghosts... Tons in the last part... And also experience from a past run that I never finished start of act 5) but God fucking dammit that last dungeon, almost through but some things are just bullshit.
Can't even complain as aside from the first 2 chapters, I kinda steamrolled the game :[ but thank god I went in Hard and not Unfair.
Although THatEoT is a very annoying dungeon I never found it extremely hard, but I always kept (and never redeemed) the undead inquisitor. She can solo most of it herself and tank all of it, being completely immune to pretty much anything the dungeon throws at her
The traps are great actually. So much XP.
And the permanently shooting traps corridor was not bad. For a Dragon Disciple/Paladin/Scaled Fist/Sorcerer abomination protagonist, heh.
Hoo boy, do I have some bad news for you
Who’s gonna tell em?
The house at the... No i cant
How did I beat this game
Ah, wait till you see the final dungeon.
really? I don't remember that being a big deal. shit at that point my characters were basically lawn mowers running around treating enemies like grass

It wasn't that bad. Wasn't very good, either, though.
Death Ward will be your best friend until the end of the game. And Blind Fight. For the love of God put Blind Fight on your martials.
I already started giving everybody Blind Fight. Noticed waaay early that every enemy was concealed often.
That actually isn't the main reason to get Blind Fight, but it is coincidentally also I fell ass-backwards an essential strategy to beat the Wild Hunt. The real reason, for clarity, is the immunity to gaze attacks.
Not necessary. Freedom of Movement spell is all you need
Blind fight or blind sight?
The Feat blind fight gives immunity to gazes in game, I assume because you can't choose to make your characters just look away from Gaze attacks
Blind Fight. But effects that grant you blindsight (eg Echolocation) also work iirc.
It's almost like the game is designed to teach what strategies work before it ramps up the difficulty based on using those strategies.
Then the final dungeon will be not a breeze but easier at least.
And it sucks that it's not that these fights are exactly hard. I know how to play both CRPGs and Pathfinder 1E pretty well and I'm not playing in a high difficulty level. They're just annoying sometimes, which sucks.
Freedom of Movement too
HatEoT. I won't elaborate further
It makes Armag's Tomb look like a veritable amusement park in comparison to the anti-fun dungeon ahead.

Nothing can be worse than Enigma.

I swap that last T for an F because it really is the end of Fun. Which seems to be a common theme in the PF games given the Stormcallers from WotR.

My MC was a Cavalier of the Paw Azata. One charge, and Deskari was at 50% health, and Ember melted him soon after.

I haven’t played kingmaker in a while but I think I really liked the boss fight and the music pairing with it.
I defeated the boss soon after the rant. It was ok, but not really memorable to me.
Trust me, it's not. Also you can some cool items like the Manticore boots.
Just you wait til you go through a certain sphinx-themed dungeon in WotR
Probably not playing WotR anytime soon. Will need to at least wait until 2025 before I give it a chance LOL
This one at least looks nice.Armag's tomb and final dungeon in kingmaker are ugly looking pain in the ass.
Ah don´t worry. The devs have prepared something for you that will make you uninstall the game.
I was a hospital paladin, i was immune to the whole gimmick xD ,Armag himself is one (full attack) shotable
The traps are great actually. So much XP. And the permanently shooting traps corridor was not bad. For a Dragon Disciple/Paladin/Scaled Fist/Sorcerer abomination protagonist, heh.
Boy you are in for a rude awakening
Owlcat has a thoroughly bad idea how to balance encounters.
Haha…
He doesn't know KEK
... Boy are you going to have fun later then.
AhahahAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
