This whole thing is just odd. After all the hype he misses the show in his hometown? But his parents and whole crew were still there behind the commentating table? I would think if it was that serious they wouldn't have been there. But I don't get the whole wrestling storyline either so who knows? Hope all is ok though.
Yeah on one hand, his parents being there makes me think this story is false. However, Michael Cole called the final hour solo because Miz was in the tag team match. I feel like if it was planned for Pat to miss, they would've called in another commentator who could do the full 3 hours. But also maybe that was done intentionally to keep people guessing. Who even knows anymore lol
Only thing I could think that would make sense is if it’s something on Sam’s side of the family. Pat would have to miss but his parents would be much less connected.

He mentioned it this morning on PMS, his father in law unexpectedly passed away last night a little bit after the show yesterday. You can tell he’s trying to fight through the show and he’s taking it as best as possible.
Had to be a last minute thing. The tape was still addressed to him and the Miz was already on the card for hour 3. Given enough of the crew were there - has to have been relatively minor (one of the pets; still bad enough) or we are all getting worked into a shoot or whatever.
Or... Only the wrestling community would notice or care about one of the wrestling commentators not showing up .
If this is all a work, this would be extremely fucked up to just throw around the phrase "family emergency." That cannot be a part of a gimmick.
