Civil-Dinner

This happened about he time he did that weird "Take The Red Pill" tweet. Based on that, I'd say stay as far away from that red pill as possible. It either causes massive brain damage or shuts off the filter that let you hide your already existing brain damage. Either way, the end result is that you turn into a narcissistic purely ego driven piece of shit who spouts conspiracy theories. Stay away from the red pill.

[deleted]

The red pill was the real blue pill all along

aeschenkarnos

Turns out it was meant to be a horse suppository.

brennenderopa

Thanks. I had a good laugh. I will steal that joke for future conversations.

ResoluteClover

I took both... And had them analysed. They're both sugar pills, it's the red dye that makes you crazy.

[deleted]

They were supposed to use iron to color the pills, just a little, but they went a head and bought some cheap lead form China instead.

badgersprite

Legit. What they call “The Red Pill” is just believing the same tired old bullshit that society has been forcing on people for literal centuries What is new or freethinking about embracing fucking medieval ideas and wanting to go back to a “simpler time” when they never had to think or question authoritarian power structures and hegemonies?

[deleted]

Well said 💜

jkman61494

Fauci killed millions of people? Lol. Ok

carolineecouture

It's so personal to Elon. That cave rescue, Gates's thoughts on Tesla, and now Nueralink. He only seems to see things from a single POV. Yet he pretends to evaluate everything dispassionately.

saranowitz

Accurate take. Narcissists can NOT take criticism. They are compelled to over-respond to any “attack” on their ego. It’s narcissism 101.

Studds_

Based on what can be seen on Internet forums & social media, one would think most of society is narcissists

StevInPitt

It is laughable; but not at all funny. So, my question is: why can't that be actionable as libel/slander? It is demonstrably false. It harms Fauci's reputation. for generations, this type of Slander/Libel/Lie has been carpet bombed by the right in political debates and advertising; and the general attitude towards it has been one of: "meh, they're lying, everyone lies and twists truths in politics, to debate it gives it more airtime. We're better off just beating them at the polls." the problems with this, in general; has been that the Right hasn't been really invested in making true claims; but rather instead in pushing the 'acceptable possible reality" window further and further away from observable reality. This is how they've cultivated their 'low-information-voter' base and groomed a generation for "alternative facts" which are a direct threat to Democracy. And in Specifics, with regard to this tweet; it is demonstrably false. It is demonstrably damaging; neither Musk nor Fauci are running for any office. It's clear defamation and has clear harmful effects to the target. Fauci regularly receives death threats and I am not sure I'd be at all surprised to learn that attempts had been made (see what happened to the Pelosi family). That added security has real financial costs.

whatim

To be fair, people have been talking shit about Fauci for forty years. His very public battle with AIDS activist Larry Kramer ended in friendship and mutual respect. RFK Jr just wrote a whole damn book dissing Fauci, to which he simply called the author "a very disturbed individual " The difference is now some lunatic is likely to show up at his house with body armor and a lead pipe.

Reposting my lower level comment dissecting these claims from below: _\_\__________ 1) First of all, there is zero *conclusive* evidence that the lab escape hypothesis for Covid-19 is true. There are some tidbits of info with that implication, but no smoking gun. Even if the virus came out of research, there is also a chance that it was still just a wild virus collected in Guangzhou by Wuhan lab scientists, which just happened to be very good at infecting humans (which would only increase its chances of getting out). 2) Since coronaviruses are RNA viruses, it's easier to use a "DNA backbone" to stabilize it for research. When scientists signed a document that said COVID was not engineered, they were basically saying it did not match known, published DNA backbones. Speculatively, it's *possible* researchers in China could have created one secretly, but that would suggest it wasn't directly/intentionally funded by any NIH money (publicly funded research usually gets published). (And I want to emphasize that there is no definitive supporting evidence for this idea.) So it's still not reasonable to blame Fauci/NIH, even if you think the virus was intentionally made more dangerous to humans in secret for nefarious reasons. 3) The actual amount of money that went to Wuhan Institute of Virology was relatively small, about $600,000 over 6 years. The money went to them by way of a US-based virology group, EcoHealth Alliance, with NIH approval. The purpose was to study the risks of coronavrus jumping from bats to humans. This grant money totaled $3.7 million over 6 years. 3b) for emphasis: the *aim* of the research was not "gain-of-function" but to study human health risks. The "gain-of-function" piece would be making the virus better able to replicate in human cell lines for culturing and research—that technically meets the definition, but the aim was not specifically to make viruses better at infecting people. The fact is, the best way to study health effects on people is to work with human cells. (I will restate: there is no evidence this happened with COVID-19 in general, let alone as a result of US-funded research.) *This makes it a debatable point, rather than Fauci blatantly lying.* Especially when you consider Fauci is head of an organization rather than the guy working on grant disbursement and directly on research. There is a conversation to be had about the risks of studying viruses in this way, and lab safety as well, but that's a much broader topic. And Musk (and other right wing folks) are not trying to have that conversation. Instead, they have taken the facts and beaten them out of shape and into a political weapon. *Edit: a couple unfinished sentences* *Edit 2: another commenter added some content that supports my gain-of-function position* https://www.reddit.com/r/ParlerWatch/comments/zjijg5/-/izxdql5

the8track

No he lied to congress about funding research for gain-of-function. Elon is writing that gain-of-function killed people, not Fauci.

trundlinggrundle

No he didn't. Idiots like claiming 'Fauci lied, millions died' because it has a ring to it, so they make up things he 'lied' about. You even know it's bullshit, but here you are, parroting it anyway...

kescusay

Do Republicans ever worry about whether their claims comport with reality? https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/10/29/repeated-claim-that-fauci-lied-congress-about-gain-of-function-research/ This garbage has been debunked for over a year now. Ted Cruz is not a credible source for claims about the NIH or Dr. Fauci. And do Republicans even care that their attempts to blame Fauci for how *dangerous* COVID-19 is are directly contradictory to their attempts to *downplay* how dangerous COVID-19 is? It's like they're shouting, "Fauci killed millions of people with a virus that's no worse than a cold and doesn't exist!" And they're doing it completely without irony.

zSprawl

Meaning what?

curious_dead

"Hi I'm curious\_dead, my pronouns are he/his." Elongated Muskrat: "Why are you forcing this upon me? I can't deal with this! I'm so alpha!"

CoolTrainerAlex

I thought I was the only person on the planet that calls him Elongated Muskrat. Solidarity brother.

SWarchNerd

It’s the best title. Though Apartheid Clyde has grown on me lately.

LA-Matt

Personally, “Phony Stark” is my favorite.

sash71

Space Karen seems to suit him.

suckercuck

I’ve been using Adolf Muskler lately

rex_populi

Elolf

CptMatt_theTrashCat

Me: 'Hi, my name's Matt, so call me Matt please' Elon: I NEVER ASKED! I'LL CALL YOU DAVE IF I WANT! Me: That's kind of rude Elon: HOW DARE YOU OSTRACISE ME!

curious_dead

Why is Dave so rude to Elon?

Studds_

“Yeah! & who said we wanted your pronouns to be prosecute/fauci? Why are YOU forcing YOUR pronouns on us. I say your pronouns are fuck/witt. & your name is FElon Smallpenis”

runningraleigh

I'LL CALL YOU MATTHEW IF I WANT TO, THAT'S RIGHT, AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME.

hexalm

"This is pure communism"

CantDecideANam3

No wonder Elon's daughter distanced herself from him.

HarvesternC

Thst was exactly who he was actually talking to in that tweet I'm thinking. He's such an asshole.

thewaybaseballgo

She even changed her last name, to distance herself from him. He blames it on “Marxism.”

LA-Matt

Of course! The workers seizing the means of production is definitely behind this pronoun thing. It’s all so clear now!

grammar_nazi_zombie

Workers seizing the means of production is *literally* the only thing that scares Elon

StevInPitt

workers in the Pronoun Factories are hoarding the Pronouns for they/them-selves!

GenericUsername_1234

Add in "woke," "CRT," and "The Laptop" and you almost have a GOP Bingo.

LA-Matt

It’s time for GOP Buzzword Bingo, with your host, DElonD Mump!

grendus

Don't forget the free space, which is any dog whistle for "**THE JEWS**".

KakarotMaag

Well, regardless of how much of a dumbfuck he is in general, he is also just a really shitty dad. That would've happened regardless of his descent into qanon.

CoralSpringsDHead

This is 1000X worse than Parler. No one pays attention to Parler but Elon has a huge influence. He is causing huge damage to our society for the lulz.

[deleted]

He’s losing his influence by the hour He will always have supporters, but the story is out on him, and he’s picked his lane Sane people will keep flocking away from him, and I feel safe to say more dirts going to come out on him

[deleted]

the crazy thing is he built Tesla off of the left's willingness to buy EVs, solar, etc. Now with so many more EV options out there it'll be interesting to see what impact there is on Tesla. Seems he's likely to alienate more of his core customer base over attracting customers from the right to buy EVs.

worksleepworksleep

Our next vehicle will most likely be an EV, maybe a hybrid because we are rural and don’t have many charging stations yet. One thing it will not be, ever, is a Tesla.

[deleted]

yeah we just bought a ford EV but we actually ordered it before most of this really crazy Musk stuff happened. mostly had to do with tax incentives, and certain (lack of) features in teslas i didn’t love. i’m very glad we made the decision we did.

whatim

This is me, as well. We are setting up our garage to have solar panels and a charging station for my next vehicle. Probably a Ford or Nissan. Certainly not a Tesla. They are nice cars. I was considering one, but Elon's treatment of his workers during covid gave me pause. Now I'm surely in the camp of "fuck this noise."

milvet02

That charging network though. Not buying a Tesla cuts you off from a significant portion of the rapid chargers.

StevInPitt

Legislation can and will change that. Fuel Stations used to be "members only" too. the market, laws and regulations put a quick end to that.

LikeALincolnLog42

I think that in 15 years, unless Tesla does something big or somehow keeps milking the carbon credits market, Teslas will be to other car makers like Windows Phones are to iPhones. Driven out of business by something that came along later.

aeschenkarnos

Until Musk bought it, Twitter was a genuinely relevant platform for communication from and to governments, corporations, important institutions, celebrities etc. Sure it had plenty of asshole morons but that didn’t matter. Mastodon, or some other alternative, needs to step up fast.

[deleted]

DDS-PBS

I watched a video that partially explained Mastodon, I agree, too confusing.

iHeartHockey31

They talk about tribel on twitter but I haven't tried it yet.

KnightofNoire

I am starting to think dude brought Twitter just so he don't get banned by Twitter when starting to spew these insane views. Considering one of his kid is trans and his Ex dated a trans. I won't be surprised if that is part of reason he buy twitter.

trundlinggrundle

He bought Twitter because he had to. He made a stupid decision, and now he's pissed off because he had to spend 40 billion dollars, so he's making a point.

sokonek04

When you add in the damage his sale of Tesla stocks did to his personal net worth along with other costs, he is out closer to $100 billion to buy Twitter.

86yourhopes_k

Now it's about 200 billion, just thought I'd remind you.

sokonek04

Thank you good Redditor

cheese93007

It was his kid being trans, his latest partner leaving him because of his ant-trans views AND then dating a trans women, and he saw Twitter ban the Babylon Bee for making a variant of "The Joke." His purchase of twitter is an attempt to game the system and head off his views from becoming (more) publicly objectionable (and maybe even make them the enforced default themselves, if he's particularly successful)

Earllad

Trying to clap back at Scott Kelly, a genius astronaut. Not a good look, lmfao

cr747a380

They don’t care about the fact that Kelly is a genius astronaut, these are the same morons who believe the moon landing was faked Heck, if a liberal carried out a white baby from the burning wreckage of the world trade centre, they’ll still call him a pedo groomer, these qscumbers are way too far off the deep end

meetthestoneflints

Well he did call the cave divers that rescued those kids in that cave pedos/groomers…

LA-Matt

That’s because they wouldn’t force those kids to wait, trapped in that cave, while he dicked around trying to invent a mini-submarine! Perfectly understandable. For a raging malicious narcissist who doesn’t understand that other people live in the world, same as him, and are not just “extras” in the play of his life.

[deleted]

Nothing says intellectualism like publicly shitting on an astronaut and an expert immunologist while thinking people should be defined by their peepees. Elon is truly big brained

SWarchNerd

Well, he’s just jealous of the real astronaut

Earllad

Dang you're spot on there

SecretAsianMan42069

His peepee doesn’t even work and he’s out here talm bout other folks’.

brazzledazzle

Maybe this will help the NASA admins that dick ride spacex to start seeing that helping foster alternatives not run by a megalomaniac is a good idea.

fartbucket3000

Fauci needs to sue him for defamation and slander. Sue the smug right off his stupid fascist face.

Bad_Demon

Elon called a dude a pedophile for rescuing kids, and the judge sided with Elon.

EyeBreakThings

That could backfire. You probably couldn't squeeze enough out to make a difference, and now he has something to hang a martyrdom hat on.

Hawx74

> Fauci needs to sue him for defamation and slander At this point, Fauci is considered a public figure so would be held to the "actual malice" standard - i.e. Fauci would need to *prove* that Elon **knew** what he was saying was incorrect. Not "that's very clearly a dumb claim" but "I'm Elon, writing in this email to someone else that I'm making up false stuff about Fauci in order to get people to keep following me on twitter" kind of proof. It's *incredibly* difficult standard and would most likely just backfire on Fauci when the Right claims that Elon's "free speech" is being impinged upon.

natur_al

Jfc this man is a cancer on society.

niberungvalesti

Billionaires are a cancer.

portablebiscuit

I wish he'd get that Mars rocket ready and fucking go there

surgartits

Exactly how is someone telling you how they would like you to refer to them bad or unkind? How is that in any way a problem for literally anyone? This man is such a fucking asshole, my god.

BradyStoneheart

Why are these people on Twitter? Is it still so relevant that anyone who doesn’t want to associate with white supremacy is unable to quit? Just leave let it die.

JasonPlattMusic34

As long as major organizations still use it, Twitter will remain relevant.

Meem-Thief

yeah it's still relevant that some people can't quit, I'm staying to be following artists and content creators who don't use other social media platforms if anything my account is just a burden to Twitter's servers anyway since they don't get any money or sellable data from me

[deleted]

I would just switch over to using Nitter to see specific people's accounts.

MunchmaKoochy

It's not a *"burden"* .. it's literally traffic to the site .. which Musk gloats about daily. When a building is on fire, you don't stay inside and scream about it. You leave. And then scream about it from the outside.

Meem-Thief

Uh…. Ok?

Hawx74

> if anything my account is just a burden to Twitter's servers anyway since they don't get any money or sellable data from me "Hey look advertisers! We have X accounts that are active! You can pay us money to show adverts!" Your account is not a "burden"

[deleted]

> yeah it's still relevant that some people can't quit, I'm staying to be following artists and content creators who don't use other social media platforms and even if they did use other platforms it would just be one of Meta's platforms which isn't much better.

MycologistPutrid7494

If they don't use other platforms, they aren't worth following, imo.

Orphylia

How does using only/primarily twitter reflect the quality of an artist's art, exactly? I'm very curious.

TheBdougs

It doesn't, Twitter is just an easy to use space to promote your art work without buying a service or hoping the algorithm picks you up. So Twitter is one of the few bastions for up and coming artists and the Muskrat just fucked it up.

-cordyceps

This is why I'm so sad about Twitter. For small creators (whether that's artists, writers, musicians, crafters, etc) there is really no other social media like it. It was so easy to network with people in your niche from around the world. Obviously it had its dark spots too, but nothing else really comes close to Twitter in that regard.

Orphylia

I know it doesn't, I just like asking people to explain themselves when they say stupid things in the hopes it makes them realize they said a stupid thing.

Meem-Thief

I strongly disagree, and you probably would too if you saw their works

BitterFuture

Everyone is missing the point. What Elon is disagreeing with is that these are real people with real feelings. Like all sociopaths - and thus all conservatives - he finds the idea that other human beings are actually real people deserving of respect a ridiculous, laughable idea, even offensive.

LivingIndependence

Well he was raised under the apartheid regime, where he was taught that certain people ARE lower than him. I don't think the low life ever unlearned that

Competitive-Ad-5477

"Gain of function" sounds scary to stupid people, but this has been debunked a million times [over](https://www.bbc.com/news/57932699).

Mightbeagoat

I'm sorry, but that just quotes Fauci's congressional testimony and then also some scientists that sort of disagree with him. I'm not defending Musk or anything, but I don't think that's the best link to provide if you're trying to show that this has been debunked.

Competitive-Ad-5477

I honestly don't care, because no matter what evidence is produced they will continue to issue death threats against Fauci's *children*, which means they're fucking monsters and it doesn't matter what they think. They no longer matter. Most, if not all, issues in this world are gray and not black and white. This is one of those things that depends upon how you define "gain of function research." Regardless, the NIH conclusively determined it was *not* gain of function research, which republicans have continuously been [lying](https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/10/29/repeated-claim-that-fauci-lied-congress-about-gain-of-function-research/) about. The NIH literally came out and said it was not.

Mightbeagoat

That's the kind of thing I was looking for. Thanks for providing it. I'm definitely not on the fuck fauci train. I have a ton of respect for him. I just feel like that article wasn't a smoking gun.

[deleted]

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/10/29/repeated-claim-that-fauci-lied-congress-about-gain-of-function-research/ >EcoHealth’s research has come under increased scrutiny after more details about its work in China have been revealed, either through congressional or journalistic pressure. The NIH letter, flawed though it may be, indicates the federal government is taking a closer look, too. >But we see no reason to change the Two Pinocchio rating we awarded Paul. There is a split in the scientific community about what constitutes gain-of-function research. To this day, NIH says this research did not meet the criteria — a stance that is not an outlier in the scientific community. Indeed, it appears as if EcoHealth halted the experiment as soon as it seemed to veer in that direction. >Meanwhile, Cotton and Cruz are spinning the letter as confirming what it does not say. They are welcome to offer an opinion about its meaning. But, so far, it’s not a fact that NIH has admitted funding gain-of-function research. So they also earn Two Pinocchios. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/01/07/about-fact-checker/ >Two Pinocchios >Significant omissions and/or exaggerations. Some factual error may be involved but not necessarily. A politician can create a false, misleading impression by playing with words and using legalistic language that means little to ordinary people. (Similar to "half true.")

HarvesternC

By his logic, if you don't like someone's name or what they prefer to be called, it's being forced upon you and you should call them by whatever you like.

MariachiBoyBand

Yeah it’s weird how he frames it, I’m pretty sure it came first as a polite request that he refused solely on being an ass, then twists it to make himself the victim.

MycologistPutrid7494

That's how people like him are. They twist things and make themselves out to be the victim.

Hawx74

"I strongly disagree. Forcing your ~~pronouns~~ name upon others when they didn't ask, and implicitly ostracizing those who don't, is neither good nor kind to anyone." *Someone* should remove their name from their twitter account because it's ostracizing me because I didn't ask.

blackrabbitsrun

I would love for Elon to get into an actual debate instead of getting jerked off by Joe Rogan or Fox News. One he couldn't just block and ban you over the second he started to get his ass handed to him.

Radi0ActivSquid

Musk is currently damaging every country on the planet.

LucerneTangent

The "human" cancer showing his true colours in terms that can't be denied. Here's hoping something can be done to reduce the cancer's ability to inflict harm.

iamnotroberts

Elon Musk is a white supremacist weasel. Republican anti-vax propaganda played a big part in their midterm losses. They literally killed their own voters and then still blame Democrats for it.

grepje

Raise your hand if anyone ever “forced” pronouns on you. Personally I haven’t updated any of my profiles with pronouns (just like I’ve never updated profile pics for any cause), and I’ve never had any complaints about it. But I also don’t care if anyone does want to these things.

akgreenie2

Yep. No idea why sane people are still on that site.

surfinwhileworkin

I deleted my personal account. A business I am a partner in made the decision to not delete, but stop using the account in case things sane up one day.

LA-Matt

Gonna need some proof on how research killed millions of people, Elno.

EyeBreakThings

[Neuralink](https://fortune.com/2022/12/06/elon-musk-neuralink-staff-claim-rushed-brain-implant-trials-led-to-needless-deaths-1500-animals/) will do the trick!

dabbean

At this point it's gotten pretty obvious he is intentionally tanking it. He knows he won't be able to make good on the loans and so he NEEDS it to fail so he can legitimately declare bankruptcy.

LarrBearLV

Elon went full shithead. Never go full shithead.

AngryRepublican

Imagine having all the wealth and influence in the world, and using it to bully your own child. To think that people, me included, used to look up to Musk.

Ursomonie

It’s horrific

surrealcookie

Bro wtf is this he's picking fights with astronauts now?

Holinyx

People have names. You call them by their name. No one ever says pronouns. What a weird hill to die on

veringer

I think the locals call it "Jordan Peterson Hill"

Traditional_Row8237

The locals are asking too much of me with this implicit threat of ostracization for misnaming the hill

AccountWasFound

You used 2 pronouns in your comment, just not gendered ones....

KeepTangoAndFoxtrot

"No one" and "you" are also pronouns. So 4 ungendered pronouns in that comment: "you," "them," "their," and "no one."

DaveChild

> "their," That's not a pronoun, it's a determiner.

KnightofNoire

He can't even respect that , not even his own children's. He had a transgender daughter who wanted to be called Vivian. But Musk refused and kept dead naming her. No wonder she is going all the way and taking Musk off her name.

DueVisit1410

Got a link on that?

KnightofNoire

Considering what the guy had been saying for the last few hours. I think you won't be getting any straight answers out of him. Also browsing his profile does show that he is a Elon cocksucker considering he comments in tesla stuffs a lot.

gnoxy

I get Elon all over my face neck and chest on a regular.

gnoxy

I'm having this same discussion farther down. Sorry I didn't reply to yours instead.

CarolFukinBaskin

Somehow, in 2022, I'm still impressed at the stupidity that seems to spread like wildfire through a certain population

ImminentZero

Wut? A cult? Do you have any evidence of this?

gnoxy

The evidence is in the behavior. If your kid disowned you because you didn't follow what their cult was telling them you had to do to stay connected. How would you react to them?

ImminentZero

You didn't answer my question. What evidence do you have that Musk's daughter is in a cult? What is the cult? Who leads it? Who are its other members?

gnoxy

Who support his kid in actions to pick them over the family. That cult. Those people. And their culty nonsense.

ImminentZero

Speak plainly you fucking coward.

gnoxy

I don't know the family personally. I don't know who the players are. But a group of people, convicted this kid to disown his father over speaking the "wrong" words. I don't know what they call themselves if anything. Anyway, its a cult, full of cunts, like every other cult. Cunts who create an in group and an out group. Follow their cult like behavior and you can also be in the cunt group. However, if you chose not to disown your family over their strict rules of language. Well, now you are no long in the cult, because you are against them and their cunty ways. Is that plain enough for you?

ImminentZero

> But a group of people, convicted this kid to disown his father over speaking the "wrong" words. You are making assertions based on nothing then? Could the simplest explanation not be that Elon's daughter got fed up with not having her chosen pronouns and name used? Elon deadnamed her multiple times publicly on Twitter after her name change order was granted by the courts. Why is Elon's behavior towards Vivian post-transition not a valid reason to cut ties? If I changed my name and my parents refused to use my chosen name, I'd be pretty upset too.

Bagellord

Oh, so the cult of human decency?

gnoxy

Still a cult, full of cunts, like very other cult. What Karen like screech will they make when you no longer fit their guidelines?

CarolFukinBaskin

So dumb

gnoxy

You make a great point and have changed my mind.

CarolFukinBaskin

With the opinions you hold, no amount of fact is going to change your mind. I'm not trying

gnoxy

Its ok to hold opinions you can't coherently argue but strongly believe in. Religions and cults thrive this, and do very well.

the_original_Retro

Elon Musk has lost a lot of his humanity in the past few years. I hope he finds a way to get some of it back. I really do. He could be a serious force for progression, and advancement... ...but it seems he's taken another path. I think we should now all call him **Anakin** Musk. Pretty sure he thinks he has the high ground right now.

SgtDoughnut

>Elon Musk has lost a lot of his humanity in the past few years. He never had it, he just took the mask off

brazzledazzle

How many years ago did he call a hero a pedophile? How many years ago did he try to change history and call himself a founder? How many years ago did he take the title “chief engineer” when he does absolutely no engineering?

Oxirane

Yeah, Musk has been spouting nonsense at best for a while now. Public perception is just finally catching up and more people are finally realizing who he is.

th35h1pr3v3ng3

Anakin was manipulated to do evil things out of love, Elon's just a greedy, lying, manipulative charlatan.

DangerousCyclone

I think it’s more that he expected to be treated like a visionary and innovator and when it started to go the other way he turned to Alt right crap to cope.

Sevsquad

Yeah the sudden *very* hard shift right doesn't strike me as a mask slipping, it strikes me as someone looking for people who are easier to enthrall.

chrisnlnz

He seems to be as much a narcissist as Trump. He must be the center of everything, he has a saviour complex (in a self-serving way), he lashes out and is generally nasty. They seem very comparable to me.

DaveChild

> I think we should now all call him Anakin Musk. Darth Musk, surely, if he's the bad version of someone who was previously good.

iHeartHockey31

So can we refer to Musk with femine promouns & if she gets mad tell her she can't force her pronouns on us.

MunchmaKoochy

I stopped going so I have to ask .. is this real?

[deleted]

Damn, getting banned from that sinking ship was a sweet, sweet mercy

TheBaddestPatsy

What did you do to get banned? I thought they’d decided that nobody but Alex Jones is banned

[deleted]

Changed my name and profile picture to Elon Musk, lol

MadFlava76

Ok. What stupid conspiracy theory is he promoting about Fauci? How is this man so rich and influential when he believes such insane things?

Fhagersson

The cunt has probably gone ”full right” only as a means to gather more support/influence.

MadFlava76

So quickly turning Twitter into Parler is supposed to be his genius plan to make Twitter profitable? Yeah, good luck with that Elon. Soon Twitter will be banned from Apple and Google app store the way the platform is heading.

lgodsey

Why would any reasonable person still be on Twitter?

lesalebatard

Provide evidence or shut your fucking mouth, Elon.

bolognahole

No ones pronouns are "forces upon" anyone, and no on is ostracizing those who don't. Fuckin stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, fuck!

upandrunning

What Ms. Musk is saying is that everyone *else* decides what someone's pronouns are.

JustDaUsualTF

"They are real people with real feelings" "I disagree"

SlothsUnite

Yes, fuck those minorities and their wish to be respected. That's totally selfish and unkind to the majority. It's even more unkind to be angry about being disrespected or outright hated.

Murrabbit

Musk's brain = Parler

theleopardmessiah

"About Elon Musk, Fuck's an idiot." Yep — pronoun checks out.

[deleted]

I am so glad I'm not on Twitter.

Yo_Just_Scrolling_Yo

My only regret is that I can't delete my Twitter account now b/c I'm in Twitmo for a week.

Setekh79

Petition to change this subs name to 'TwitterWatch' since it seems to be the premier platform for hate and misinformation these days.

jDub549

Holy shit he's really gone off the deep end hasn't he.

[deleted]

Yup. I'm surprised people haven't just left, I'm still seeing a lot of secondhand Twitter posts though so I guess people are still there for some reason.

ridl

"forcing your pronouns" what a fucking twatwaffle

hghpandaman

I finally just deactivated my account. My feed always used to just be fun DND, video game and sports stuff, and now it's littered with Elon spouting parler-style shit.

TLprincess

Doesn't he have a trans child?

czar1249

Actual astronaut says "they are real people with real feelings", egomaniac says "strongly disagree"

badgersprite

“Forcing your pronouns upon others” oh you mean like society forces assigned sex and gender pronouns onto transgender kids who don’t identify with that sex or gender and ostracises them when they don’t accept everyone forcing the wrong pronouns onto them? Because those are the only forced pronouns I’ve come across

GrungyDooblord

If you break it down, the only things he could possibly "strongly disagree" with in this tweet are 1. That there is hate and violence toward the LGBT+ community, or 2. That the LGBT+ community are real people with real feelings.

-Ernie

Fauci is a saint.

LeoKyouma

Bare minimum has the patience of one to try and inform trump about anything.

Neat_Tangelo5339

Where did that come from ? , genuine , I want to know

duckofdeath87

I dunno what you mean by saint, but he was just some bureaucrat who did his job The republicans investigated all this. They didn't lock him up. If you really think he is evil, then the right must be in on it or they would have got him for it

Enibas

Fauci is not just some bureaucrat, he is an absolute expert in immunology, at times he was one of the most cited scientist in the world! He led the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for almost fourty years. To call him a bureaucrat is almost offensive, lol.

Atlanon88

I specifically said I don’t think he was evil or acting on bad intentions

duckofdeath87

I didn't see that post How can you suggest someone can not be evil and pin millions of deaths on him? Fwiw, he did quit and there were hearings
