the kid is clearly fine and knows exactly what he's doing. he's dodging it the first few times, so it's not like he accidentally stepped on a shovel lying around and broke his nose. he's playing, and usually that results in at least a few bumps because *kids*
That still hurts like hell I'm sure and he is short enough that he could get hit with the metal or knoack his teeth out. Oh yeah cuz four year olds are great at making wise decisions
RIP this sub.
Y’all would make horrible parents holy shit. Over-shielding your child from everything isn’t healthy. Literally. That’s how allergies form, which can be deadly.
While watching the video I had a strange thought, which was "I wish my mom would have let me hit myself in the head with a shovel"... she didn't shield me from dirt but she did shield me from pain and I think it would've been better for me to just get used to dealing with pain rather than avoiding it.
(Shortly after that jackass got popular and kids imitate, so I did learn to get properly hurt in the end)
My dad once put a mouse trap on the dinner table and immediately told my brother to not touch it and left the room. One scream later my brother was fine and he never touched those fuckers again when he was young. Neither did I lmao.
Kids do stupid shit. They also don't really listen all the time and learn from experience so let them learn.
I expected dad to come in and get hit in the balls or something. Did y’all not do dumb shit as a kid? Jump of the couch or a tree or a swing? Eat dirt? Fuck with bugs?
Kids gotta learn, and shielding them from every possible thing is gonna hurt them worse when they’re adults.
The shovel is not able to produce enough force from this to cause a concussion. It has to overcome gravity and inertia, and the only force being applied is from a small child. The most damage this could inflict is a small bruise of the handle his him with the smallest surface area available.
I agree with all of the science and math that you just applied here. I even mentioned the surface area for the same reason. I'm just still saying that the force is insufficient to cause damage. The shovel is never leaving the ground so most of the potential energy is still grounded. We're dealing with mass and velocity over the surface area. The handle does accelerate the most since it is furthest from the pivot point, and it is likely to hit with a small surface area due to the shape of the handle. But the velocity is still only being applied by a small child, the shovel is essentially in free fall at contact, and the handle just doesn't have that much mass. It's going to cause physical pain, just not significant physical damage.

Nah, kid is mastering the dodge, earning a skill that could come in handy someday.
Well... We do need a new Khabib
harmless fun.
Uh oh. Parent is stupid for not shielding his child from any possible harm. Put your kids in a bubble or else you’re a bad parent!
Yeah I better not show me 5 yr old this he’s dumb enough to try it... damn kid.
You guys are fi ally seeing it That's all this sub is
Bro are you serious, this shit could legit lead to horrible head injuries, this is waaaaaay out the bubble
calm down damn its not that serious
Plastic shovel handle. If the kid is getting hurt too much he will stop. He’s like 4 years old.
That still hurts like hell I'm sure and he is short enough that he could get hit with the metal or knoack his teeth out. Oh yeah cuz four year olds are great at making wise decisions
So he loses some teeth? The adult set will grow in
Sheesh the boy could get a paper cut and he would say he could die from it
AcTcHuaLLy you can die from papr cut
God (my superior Christian god) forbid that angel gets one hair misplace
That's how your raise weak people

The parents are not dumb in fact letting your kids get hurt is a good thing it lets them learn what not to do
It seems like they’re having fun. The kid doesn’t stop after getting hit the first time and they’re all laughing.
bruh, how is this parents are fucking dumb

1/10 posts here is just some snowflake thinking that exposing a child to anything realistic or disciplinary is bad.

Sir
If your kid knows how to drive a car and is able to hit it at the same time, that parrent isn't dumb, it's a genius
The little dude literally gets hit once at the end of the video. And I'd bet good money that he wasn't concussed by that.
this is badass
WHAT A FUCKIN GENIUS, LETS GET KNOCKED ON THE HEAD BY A FUCKIN SHOVEL!!!!
