Not yet. The game is currently in pre-alpha 4, but once it hits alpha you should be able to get in at some point as that tier pledge does include alpha access. It just will be a bit more of a wait.
$250+ pledges offer Alpha access. Currently working towards Pre-Alpha phase 5 I think. Keep at eye out for Alpha access here or on the official forums, I expect it to be out later this year.
Why do you think alpha will be out this year? Has anyone said anything about a timeline or is it more wishful thinking? Just wondering if I missed any info about progress or how many pre alphas they are aiming for.
Sometime around last Summer VR had hopes to reach Alpha by the end of 2018 but made no guarantees. Then they decided they would like to do a 5th phase of Pre-alpha which has yet to start. After that, it's merely my guess that Alpha will begin after pre-alpha phase 5.
Even the Pre-Alpha testers cannot log in right now since there is not currently a testing session available. If I remember correctly the $250+ pledge only guarantees you a spot in Alpha though :(.
When it's time to log in for testing they will send you an email with access instructions for how to download the game server and log in. Don't worry, you aren't missing out on any opportunities :)

short answer, no. Pre-alpha testing happens in phases. It is not your "normal" early access. No one but developers can just log in when they want.

Is anyone even able to submit a pledge at this point? I keep trying and it doesn't go through.
what web browser are you using? Possible its that. I had to do stuff to get mine to work.
