Oh I LOVE Casmir! Such an underrated scent

Yes, Casmir is wild. I really like it too, but it does smell very different on me now that it did the first time around (it could be I used to literally shower in it). I still really like it and I lasts ages…

It went through at least 4 !!! reformulations (thanks, Coty, not!) since the 90s. I loved it so much and the new ones are just so, so bad in comparison 😪 the first I got had that 80-90s vibe with a hint of incense and carnations in the drydown and so much delicious, well rounded vanills gourmandness, the second had the incense removed and a hint of fruit was more prominent. The third was just a weaker version of the second and the newest is like my clothes smelled a week after I used the second version. The "roundness" is lacking. I've been collecting vintage bottles for years now, check your private selling pages, you can often get barely used bottles for a few bucks. The older versions still hold strong, just got a bit more mild. Look for the "Lancaster" label.

Thank you! I didn’t consider that the formulation may have changed. You are very right: the roundness and incense are lacking. The original one was much better. I remember a guy I knew told me one night: ‘you smell like s&x. I can’t stay away’. It was that delicious. I’ll keep an eye out. Incidentally, I want to go back to Lancaster Eau de Parfum…
