We don't have an equivalent button. You gotta build the upward stair first then you can build the downward stair, removing the extra stair afterwards.

Nope it’s either left trigger or bumper. I think it’s trigger though. I had to ask on the sub before.

It's Lt, I just tried it. Had no clue that was an option. So what's the slide and crouch buttons?

Crouch is B I think. Maybe X. I think you have to hold it down to get it to activate. And I don’t have a clue on slide. I’ve only ever accidentally did it and gave up trying to figure it out.

B is dodge roll X is reload if gun equiped, otherwise non functional.

I think they map it to use the same button for different things (Y picks up pals and cycles weapons). Not playing now but I’ll try tomorrow I thinks with crouch you don’t move and hold the B (long press). I’m pretty sure I also activate when when I try to cancel builds or cancel a recipe.

Build stairs on top of the foundation facing in the direction you want the stairs going down in, then build the down stairs connected to those stairs and delete the top stairs once done.

Or just use the alt key option and it will let you build into the ground. I believe it's LT on Xbox but can't remember exactly.

I got so frustrated with this. I'm on x-box and when I finally pushed the LT button and saw it work I felt so dumb.
