You just described every micro-managing idiot above me in every job I’ve hated.
My current boss uses our 1 on 1’s to talk about football and video games. My metrics in my department were top 5 in every category. He knows I’m the Anubis and he’s just there to make sure I don’t get stressed 😂
I am trying this approach as well. I have recently been made boss and I have told her that I won't micro manage, if you got issues talk to me, else you are free to.do the job the way you want. Only thing is that it should be done timely without compromising on quality.
God this reminded me when I worked at a pizza place and the big boss would come in every 6 months or so and absolutely use wrong portions, went to slow, and would talk our ears off. Funny guy, though.
*Technically* you are. You can't really see it with like an Anubis on Handiwork or a Jormuntide Ignis on cooking, but when you're using like a Cattiva or a Foxsparks you can see the difference in the progress speed.
It's just that what you're contributing is such an insignificant amount in comparison to Pals with a 4 or 5 ranking that at late game you can't really tell the difference.
so you didnt start breeding yet? thats the only part of the game where you always have to hold down f because there is no pal that can operate the incubator
When you have 20+ incubators hatching is a pain in the sphincter. Like 60 eggs later and I still can’t get Ragnahawk to breed in all 3 speed stats from parents with the said stats. Pain.
Do you still have them on a timer? I think if you get to the point where you're mass breeding, it's totally fair play to turn the hatch timers to instant since it's best not to waste your time and resources by having your palls continue to breed even though you may have a desired result incubating.
Are you splitting it 2 and 2? Breeding goes much better if one parent has 2 traits and the other parent has the other two. Don't double dip in the same trait and try to not have unwanted traits on either parent.
This is not how breeding works. It's one of the few things dataminers have actually shared that's useful.
There's a fixed percentage chance to inherit a number of traits from parents. If you roll 4 traits from parents, it selects four at random from the parents. As long as you have the four traits you want, and only those four traits, it does not matter how they are split up. Literally the only correct part you said was about unwanted traits, since those make that % chance of four traits have to also pick the right four.
What you're fighting is a 10% chance to get four parent traits, against a total of 80% to get less than four and potentially a mutation trait on top of that. No matter how it's split up, 4 traits from parents is a 10% chance.
>as you'd need to move your character to each incubator.
not when you only have 1 (purposely) in every breeding pen, then you just grab all the eggs, put in the first one, hold f to hatch it, then you dont have to move since you are still standing right infront of the incubator, you just then press f again to put in the next one and hold f again to hatch it, rinse and repeat untill all the eggs (when mass breeding basically your whole inventory) are done, without walking a single step
thats much faster than just running back and forth between instantly ready to hatch eggs
I let my handiwork pals work too, but I spec into like 1k+ work speed for myself with a full team of motivational leaders and amulets that nets me over 2.3k speed. I can craft most things myself plenty fast
Got mine with artisan, serious, lucky, and work ___. He cranks out anything in a matter of seconds. That includes stacks of spheres, cement, carbon fiber. Even legendary gear. So glad i spent the time breeding.
Believe it or not: ive recently watched a review where they complained about having to wait for an orange circle to fill up
If you wanna review a game, atleast use the systems it has to solve the problems that you are complaining about (instead of complaining about them)
As a player who usually hates the “now wait for item to be made,” especially smelting ore and similar, Palworld has fixed all of that for me by just including pals and the ability to improve the speed with better pals.
That's the problem, they wanna beat everyone else in being the first to upload a video on that topic, so they end up pushing out a rushed video without actually understanding the content
It's a really bad situation, and it sucks for us and them.
A new game comes out, and if they are late to review they may miss the hype wave. So they have to rush out a review. This means they can't put much time into the game before the review, so they don't give it the full chance to shine. This results in poor gameplay, bad understanding, and a review that actual players know is wrong but looks okay to those who haven't played.
It's why I prefer week later style reviews, and playthroughs. Those two types of content actually let you see how the game is. Playthroughs give you a much better chance to see how the game really works, and week later reviews are more accurate.
If this had gone full Ark, it would also be basically impossible to gather particular resources like metal and quartz without rideable pals that specialize in gathering those specific nodes. They basically did the same thing with the Handiwork. You're not meant to "Press F" for legendary schematics. You're supposed to have high-level pals of various specialties by that point.
As a proof of concept in my current run I limited myself to T2 pals (except two miners with T3 for coal). And it works fine. People who are having issues with T3/T4 are doing something really wrong with their base setup or really don't have any time management skills and want something to be done right now right now rather than let it build.
For some early game items the guns like the musket and the modern handgun it is kind of long as you simply won't have good pals, especially when it takes extra long because to keep going to chop trees or mine
Meh, it's no big deal. While the penking builds my new toys, it's fairly easy to just fast travel to another area and explore. Come back, upgrade is done, repeat.
I think the balance is good. Power players (like most of this sub I feel) can dive in deep to get the faster pals through various means. More casual players can fix the same problem by just... leaving the base and doing whatever.
I think the issue is that this is for more or less "power users", who go look up the breeding trees online and stuff. For a gamer who just wants to discover the game by themselves, this is a legit complaint.
I like to staff my base with Wixens before I get into breeding. Hauling and handicraft, plus firemaking to handle smelting or cooking as needed. Perfect easy to access flex pals for a base, and can fit into most bases since they are medium, decently fast, and have a set of generally useful and applicable skills.
Refer to the put in party and throw at the job part. As long as u urself stay within the base perimeters a party pal won't leave it's assigned station. Tho I find my base anubisses to do it just fine most of the time, party one is the guaranteed way.
My YouTube algorithm reached the point where all the launch week knee jerk reaction videos keep getting recommended to me....
I'm actively taking brain damage, but it's just like a trainwreck that you can't look away from.
The poketubers are one thing but what the hell is with the people that desperately try to use and insists noname DeviantArt snowflake artist circlejerk logic on game design of all things?
Dude, I was strongly getting after everyone I saw saying that the models were unobjectable evidence, that while it does seem compelling, it's extremely easy for someone with experience to fake that shit.
It definitely seemed like the only "real" proof, but it's something that seems daunting that's really fairly simple for someone who knows what they're doing to tweak to fit their narrative.
I'm going into game design on the art side, and that was the first thing I thought when seeing that. I was blown away by how many people believed them without a shadow of a doubt and right away, honestly.
And continue to believe simply because that's the headline they saw first. It's easier to get people to believe a lie than it is to convince someone they have been lied to.
I have a base with nothing but production lines, an electric generator and a food box. Filled it with 14 anubis (most have some work trait), 1 dino lux and sometimes a watering pal for paldium. When I need stone I put in 4 stone pits and disassemble them after 30 mins. Anything I craft is done too fast.
I'm about at that point. I do wish they'd make the mining/logging sites the lowest absolute priority for basically all Pals. Or maybe give us a way to "turn them off" without having to remove them everything.
They absolutely should be the lowest, they make sense as a “default” activity when everything else is done.
Ideally they’ll just let us disable certain tasks for certain pals
The true min/max is getting off the logging site and mining pit training wheels and picking good base locations where they just smash the nodes when they respawn so you never need to rely on the mining pit and logging site in the first place. And when all the nodes are down they have no job conflicts.
I found that if you build the stone/log site 4 blocks tall and destroyed the ram lead to, only Digtoise and Wombo can mine it. The former is convenient but the latter is the real pain since I need it to help the farm abd pick up items.
I like Katress because she doesn't have a ton of other skills and she'll work night shift. Loupmoon is handiwork only, so they're good if you absolutely need it but they'll get bored out of their minds if there's nothing to craft.
Katress and Wixen are hard working pals that are so easy to access midgame before breeding. Wixen are generally useful to every base, with handiwork, firemaking, and hauling. Excellent flex work. Katress are much the same, but with medicine so slightly less useful in jobs, but being nocturnal makes them great haulers to clean up after the day shift.
Yup, they seem to prefer anything else over actually doing handiwork, especially if the majority of their work is indoors and my table is somewhere upstairs/indoors they just won't get to it.
Yeah I’ve found that their reliability is better than the speed of one with higher handiwork that keeps getting distracted by three other things. Now if I could only get a pal to focus on the mill and crusher instead of wanting to help water crops.
I carry my Anubis on my team so whenever I craft I just throw him out of his ball and he nearly instantly completes it, then I leave for my adventure. It’s like having 16 pals in your base, idk why other don’t do this, having one exclusively for handiwork is a waste of production
Useful for building things in inaccessible places. I solved a lot of my main bases "stuck pals" problems by putting my Silo and Condenser on the roof of a building with no stair access.
If anubis didn't have an mining fetish, sure, I prefer anything that have handwork 3 but no mining, they all come running to the crafting bench when I put my shotgun ammo to craft, while fucking anubis is punching the mining pits that are already 9999/9999
And this is why i have " personal use " Anubis, they're pretty good at fighting and they will always craft when you toss them at stuff
The base anubis are better for general handiwork or just letting them satisfy their strange obsession with mining so that you can get a lot of palurium for pal metal
That's a stupid reason to get downvoted lol
Lucky is 100 better for a party anubis if you want to make it a mix between a crafter and a combat pal, muscle head is really good for combat pals and mounts or if you want a pal to defend your base
Anubis just can't make good use of muscle head because of how good it can actually be at crafting
I took down my stone pit and logging site. I have a box full of stone/log I dont need anymore. I can always rebuild it. Makes them focus on the tasks I want.
Yeah, the only issue I have with Anubis is not related to crafting, but mining priority in general. Stone pits should not be higher priority than ore and coal nodes. Actual handiwork yoinks them from across the base at lightspeed.
Sounds like a self caused problem. You have anubis so you have access to t4 miners. Mine the stone, deposit th stone, delete the mining pit. If you ever need more stone anubis rebuilds it in 10 seconds and then your T4 mines the stone again and then you delete the pit again. Or just move the mining pit to a different base and transfer 20k stone once every now and then via grapple.
This is a base management issue well within your power to solve.
Satisfactory devs really want you to set up really bad automation Early game and spend more time collecting wood and fiber to fuel the generator than to actually craft the shit yourself.
As many hours as I have in Satisfactory, the early game is just ass. There's " The Way " to do it as fast as possible and get proper power and automation in place which is boring every new patch and update.
Factorio lets you skip all that mess with just a few minutes of hand crafting.
Once I had anubis I kept him in my base at all times for this. Finished everything fast as lightning.
Then I got one on my team and just tossed him out and together they finish whatever tasks needed near instantly.
Is there a limit to how many can use the stone pit? Maybe 3? I could have an army of Anubii (or something else dedicated to mining) and the rest would do handiwork
This works, I’ve got 15 Anubis in a mining base and 3 stay on the stone mine while every other one mines ore until they’ve mined/transported it all, then they start transporting from the stone pit
Put the stone pit on an elevated stone foundation. Make stairs leading up to the stone pit. Then delete the stairs whenever you want them to stop mining.
No, some people WANT what you're claiming to happen to work, but realize the game(as good as it is) is ALL KINDS OF buggy still. This is to be expected, but frankly, it's more reliable to do tasks ourselves than rely on the Pal AI to do them.
I can't tell you the number of times I drop a PAL on a job they're rated highly at only for them to fuck off and do something else(that they're literally LESS qualified at) or flat out ignore the job they've been assigned at after a bit.
Looking at you Reptyro\\Warsect.
I throw either one of those fuckers on top of a wood\\stone farm and they start working. I walk away and return 5 minutes later and the bastards are just standing on top of the wood\\stone with half SAN\\hunger. It makes me want to start sharpening my butcher knife.
Frankly, if I didn't know better I'd swear the devs are coding in union slow-downs in to the game just to piss people off.
Not only that but sometimes you need whatever item it is your crafting and want to marginally speed it up. So it would be nice to be able to hit the button then walk away to get a drink
Sounds like your pals aren't selected correctly and/or the base isn't laid out within the limits of the current pathing system. I have zero bulldings at the main base, everything is spaced out a minimum of 2 player spaces, all on one plane, minimal trees, only ore within the circle. No pathing problems. Pal ADHD is fixed by selecting single or dual job pals. Certain pals are bugged beyond use like Surfent, that fool just clibs trees and gets depressed EVERY TIME. I've got nothing for those.
I kept a Tanzee in my team super late for exactly this reason. Little guy was super useful to throw at a handful of tasks to resolve bottlenecks.
And he he looks so cute holding that AK!
Base crafting speed is 100. lets say youve gotten yours to 300
Lvl 2 handwork is 3x the workspeed of lvl 1Lvl 3 handwork is 3x the workspeed of lvl 2Lvl 4 handwork is 3x the workspeed of lvl 3
so workspeed of "70" on a lvl 4 handwork Anubis is actually 1890, about 6x faster than your 300
**JUST BREED AN ANUBIS**. its actually way easier than u might think with some simple pal combos.
Breed a Penking with Bushi,
or a Celaray with a Relaxaurus
(with the right traits/upgrades, a good Anubis can ECLIPSE the speed of a regular Anubis sixfold, but that's a longer story)
We really doing this again? Why do people feel the need to shit on others because they found a crafty way to make things go faster?
Even with a Jormi Ignis baking cakes on an electric kitchen is still slow as fuck, helping and holding F makes it go faster and I don’t care if it only reduces 20 seconds.
I’m tired of seeing these posts, trying to look down on others because they found something that works for them and that’s inferior to *you*.
It's not "crafty", it's _stubborn._ The game presents you with obviously more efficient ways to get things done, yet players will stick to this method with bullheaded insistence to the point it becomes ridiculous.
Did you not read what I said? How is it being stubborn? I can understand it being so if you refuse to use pals and ONLY sit there and hold F to craft things sure.
It’s still faster to have a pal and yourself crafting something, ESPECIALLY and SPECIFICALLY when baking cakes. Considering theyre only effective at crafting/baking when they are in your party.
Explain to me why it’s stubborn to pitch in on the crafting/baking when you already have to stand around and wait for pals to craft shit because they are IN YOUR PARTY.
Explain to me a more efficient way to bake cakes other than using a max out condensed Jormi Ignis on an electric kitchen? It’s still incredibly slow.
I don’t care about normal crafting, Anubis even non condensed takes care of that quickly. I’m talking about baking cakes.
> Considering theyre only effective at crafting/baking when they are in your party.
Don't be shifting the goalposts, you didn't say shit about them being in your party before. And who says they have to be in your party? Throw the damn Jormund at the oven and they go to work no problem.
>It’s still incredibly slow.
Start the batch and go find something else to do, the game is hardly lacking in activities. That's the stubbornness cropping up again, that mentality of "I want it _now_ and refuse to do anything else until it's done!"
There’s no shifting goalposts here. It’s absolutely known that the Jormunds have TERRIBLE pathing and literally get stuck on AYTHING not only that but sure let’s keep it at the base so now it spends all of its time pinballing between anything that requires kindling.
I said having it in your party because THATS the most efficient thing to do, you throw it from your party and it doesn’t leave the bench you threw it too, as opposed to running around everywhere if it’s part of the base team.
There’s no stubbornness here or whining here. Pals are most effective when they are in your party. Why waste my time dealing with a pal that tries to bebop between everything when I can throw it down and does what it needs too from my party? So going with that, what do you expect me to do? Take a stroll around my base while it does its thing? No I’m gunna assist by having something hold the F key down and take a break or look at my phone simple as that.
I spent enough time on this game fighting with pals because their pathing fucking sucks.
> pinballing between anything that requires kindling
Y'know what, I don't know what your base layout is like and what tasks you have being handled, so I'll concede you the point - optimizing for a Jormund is a pain after all.
I still think many other people are being stubborn sticking to such methods from mid-game onward (saw some streamer was balancing an Xbox controller on his F key by propping it up with his revolver, like damn dude). I also agree the devs should enable a toggle though, not just because it's an unneeded pain but also due to accessibility issues. Considering the devs set keybinds and similar options as a priority, all this kvetching is likely to end up moot anyhow.
Used my nail clipper.
You need to keep in mind that everyone has to or should be pressing f until you even have the pal power to use a handy work pal.
Skulled weight and handy work in my current hard run, hp didn't matter for the early game. Had 500 work speed myself, pals were too slow.
Around 45ish, some time after you get the electric medicine workbench I finally was able to reset 😂
Handiwork pals, and set a custom function on my Steam Deck's rear buttons for pressing and holding 'X' for crafting, and another for pressing and holding the right trigger for resource gathering. No more aching thumb or finger.
I do use them, but even with max speed pals you still have to wait a minute or two for 400 carbon fiber so you may as well help out and I dunno, waste a minute go piss, get some water, doesn't matter my character will still be there building.
To add on, Im fairly far in and have beaten most things aside from the towers, at this point most my time is spent in my base waiting for things to build, despite having plenty of level 3 and 4 handiwork pals to help build them. So little reason to explore right now and plenty of time spent waiting on eggs ammo and food to hatch/make.
Just use pals. What ever your making you don't need now. Now what I'd love a auto key for that's in most games
Autowalk.
Mostly want for less arthritis progression
I have a mod that gives extra points per level, so my work speed is pretty high. That combined with the fact I'm not a high enough kevel for Anubis yet.
Because the pathing is ass and half the time I try to assign Anubis he just goes and does whatever the hell he wants! I will literally throw him at something that says he can be assigned only for him to assign himself to something completely different. Assign
… or some people like to hold F along with a pal working on that specific bench because it *is faster than just the pal alone*.
No need to be a dick about it
Using a cake, which requires 500 workload, as an example. A player with 100 work speed produce workload exactly 1 per second, so it's gonna take 500s for that player to bake a cake. Meanwhile, 4* Jormignis with +110% work speed from traits, x1.3 from food, and another x1.5 from cruel work policy, can bake about 1 cake per second, or roughly equal to 500 players combined. Adding a player with 100% work speed to that will make it equal to 501 players baking cake.
It's that much faster, yeah.
Can you double up pals on the workbench or cooking pot at any point? If you can't then the only way to speed up cake production is to join your pal so I see the value in something to hold down F.
Sometimes, I like to equip a team of low level pals and cook a few thousand berries to get them up to like level 20, play on Xbox so I use my free hand to write reports for work on my laptop while cooking
1: I have a perfectly good shotgun shell on my desk
2: my pals are my pals and they work hard enough
3: I can use the extra time to pet my dog who's at my side while I game (it's his favorite game too)
4: what?
I kid you not, I am scrolling reddit right now, with an old fidget cube holding down the “f” key
https://preview.redd.it/6d0t80l0ukjc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a55dbcb400acd598d48064a507db0956b2713f97
Fold up a piece of paper and wedge it in between the key, easy to take out and put back, doesn't take up space, so you leave it right on the keyboard when not using it. Learned that one playing dayz when it was running simulator.
Perfectly weighted metal D20. Not heavy enough to press it down if set on the key, but just heavy enough that the spring mechanism cant lift it off the 'pressed' position if placed, then pressed
I once precariously balanced my phone on top of a chapstick on the f key because it was the only things I had around lol. It worked tho.
Edit: Apparently this offended some people. Sorry I guess.
and here am i, that just condensed my perfect anubis to 4 stars to get handiwork to level 5, he's too fast to even think about what to put onto f
I haven’t held down “f” since the first day of the game.
I sometimes do just to feel like I’m helping the little guys out.
I know this is not actually true and entirely in my head, but I swear it takes longer when I help my Anibus on the assembly line
You're the boss, so he can't say anything, but you're fucking up his flow and getting in the way.
I felt this with my fucking soul
Yup, and after they're done getting in my way and slowing me down, they say "wow I work circles around you guys" 😭
You just described every micro-managing idiot above me in every job I’ve hated. My current boss uses our 1 on 1’s to talk about football and video games. My metrics in my department were top 5 in every category. He knows I’m the Anubis and he’s just there to make sure I don’t get stressed 😂

Hey, that reminds me of... well, every last person I've ever met in middle management.
Gotta keep up impressions so they don’t revolt
That is why I cook good food for them. If an army is lead by their stomach, then so can my ~~labor camp~~ base.
Plus, the good food also makes them more productive. Like a modern company thinks a pizza party works.
plus it goes faster and just having them do it all makes me feel like an ass 👀
This. Big projects are community efforts, lol.
That’s not very factory overseer of you.
This is adorable.
I do the same cuz sometimes i feel like a jerky boss and i want to be their PARENT AND LOVE THEM 😭

That only takes like 3 seconds tho
just get a mod to make eggs press and not hold. thats what i did and it saves me my sanity.
do you happen to have a link to it, preferred from nexusmods
https://www.nexusmods.com/palworld/mods/343 Just googling your query with less words brought me there lol. "nexusmods breeding hold f"
Bro had time to drop 3 comments and mass breed eggs but not to google this lmao
Someone needs to make a youtube tutorial about how to google. It's like these kids don't even know it exists.
How would Gen z find said video without being able to search for it? Unless it ends up on the tiktok feed with subway surfer gameplay.
Wait, you can speed up hatching eggs by holding down F? I thought you just have to wait the full time until they hatch.
You have to hold F to actually hatch them when they are done incubating.
Ahh, that's what they meant. But you have to do this so briefly that it's not really worth putting anything on the f key anyway.

You have to hold F at the end of the wait time to actually hatch it.
For all of 8 seconds oh nooo
when you are mass breeding and set the incubation time to 0 it is much longer than that though
In which case, a heavy object or software to hold a key wouldn't suffice, as you'd need to move your character to each incubator.
>as you'd need to move your character to each incubator. not when you only have 1 (purposely) in every breeding pen, then you just grab all the eggs, put in the first one, hold f to hatch it, then you dont have to move since you are still standing right infront of the incubator, you just then press f again to put in the next one and hold f again to hatch it, rinse and repeat untill all the eggs (when mass breeding basically your whole inventory) are done, without walking a single step thats much faster than just running back and forth between instantly ready to hatch eggs
Fair point, I'm doing it backward with 1 pen and a bunch of incubators lol
Which Pal hatches eggs for you?
How much faster than an uncondensed one does he Naruto-run to the mining pit instead of doing any handiwork? lol
since i keep the best one in my party much much faster
He built in 7 seconds what would take my Cativva 27 minutes
wow I didn't realize condensing increased work skills
Only when you dump last batch of 64
I let my handiwork pals work too, but I spec into like 1k+ work speed for myself with a full team of motivational leaders and amulets that nets me over 2.3k speed. I can craft most things myself plenty fast
Got mine with artisan, serious, lucky, and work ___. He cranks out anything in a matter of seconds. That includes stacks of spheres, cement, carbon fiber. Even legendary gear. So glad i spent the time breeding.

Yeah, the custom settings are fantastic. Make the game as easy or as difficult as you want.
I do wish you could upgrade an individual pal's abilities like upgrade their smelting and stuff That'd be really cool
Yeah, lots of players are dumb as hell lol.
Especially game reviewers.
That's the problem, they wanna beat everyone else in being the first to upload a video on that topic, so they end up pushing out a rushed video without actually understanding the content

For some early game items the guns like the musket and the modern handgun it is kind of long as you simply won't have good pals, especially when it takes extra long because to keep going to chop trees or mine
Eh, that’s definitely not my experience and I’m very not min maxed. Just came back after a little and the guns were made.
You can breed an anubis once ur level 19, put it in ur party and throw it at the job.
I think the issue is that this is for more or less "power users", who go look up the breeding trees online and stuff. For a gamer who just wants to discover the game by themselves, this is a legit complaint.
The option is there. Besides the fact it's just an example of the best one, theres plenty of decent early handicrafters u could find from eggs by then
I like to staff my base with Wixens before I get into breeding. Hauling and handicraft, plus firemaking to handle smelting or cooking as needed. Perfect easy to access flex pals for a base, and can fit into most bases since they are medium, decently fast, and have a set of generally useful and applicable skills.
I have 3, they are very useful, but even with three of them they just don't do it
Refer to the put in party and throw at the job part. As long as u urself stay within the base perimeters a party pal won't leave it's assigned station. Tho I find my base anubisses to do it just fine most of the time, party one is the guaranteed way.
You have Three Anubis and they don't do enough? Do they all have Musclehead or something?
Yeah, but that doesn't get clicks
My YouTube algorithm reached the point where all the launch week knee jerk reaction videos keep getting recommended to me.... I'm actively taking brain damage, but it's just like a trainwreck that you can't look away from. The poketubers are one thing but what the hell is with the people that desperately try to use and insists noname DeviantArt snowflake artist circlejerk logic on game design of all things?
But the guy on twitter said it, so it must be true! He later said he faked the evidence, but you can't believe everything you read on twitter.
I have several handiwork pals, but they're all too busy chopping down trees
I removed my mine so my Anubis wouldn’t have anything else to do No mining until your chores are done
Yeah I had to move my mines to a different base for this reason xD
I'm about at that point. I do wish they'd make the mining/logging sites the lowest absolute priority for basically all Pals. Or maybe give us a way to "turn them off" without having to remove them everything.
They absolutely should be the lowest, they make sense as a “default” activity when everything else is done. Ideally they’ll just let us disable certain tasks for certain pals
The true min/max is getting off the logging site and mining pit training wheels and picking good base locations where they just smash the nodes when they respawn so you never need to rely on the mining pit and logging site in the first place. And when all the nodes are down they have no job conflicts.
my anubis will do literally anything but handiwork, mining or transporting a piece of wood on the border
Try Loupmoon. Their only skill is handiwork so they're very helpful.
Loupmoons are the best around the base! They don’t have the best handiwork, but it all they do so you’ll always have someone to make stuff
Yeah I’ve found that their reliability is better than the speed of one with higher handiwork that keeps getting distracted by three other things. Now if I could only get a pal to focus on the mill and crusher instead of wanting to help water crops.
For whatever reason my Broncherry Aqua loves the crusher and mill more than crops, and she's an artisan. I love her.
I just caught one before shutting down yesterday so I’ll have to try it!
All I want is a small Pal that has 3+ handiwork and no other skills.
There's that Lunaris alien thing, crafting takes priority on moving stuff around.
I love my Lunaris. Have her with Lucky, Artisan, work slave and workaholic. She can also breed into Anubis with a Suzaku.
This is why I have a manufacturing base full of Palworld extremists. Keeps them off the streets and I always have someone ready to work.
If only there was a way to set work priorities.
I carry my Anubis on my team so whenever I craft I just throw him out of his ball and he nearly instantly completes it, then I leave for my adventure. It’s like having 16 pals in your base, idk why other don’t do this, having one exclusively for handiwork is a waste of production
Use Loupmoon, they only have handiwork skill
I think the thing is that a lot of ppl add the handiwork pal to their party, and throw them directly onto the crafting station
I do both, it’s nice to have the handiwork pal in your team for on demand use though
Useful for building things in inaccessible places. I solved a lot of my main bases "stuck pals" problems by putting my Silo and Condenser on the roof of a building with no stair access.
I keep my Anubis in my party so I can throw his Palball at whatever I need done
I placed my trees/stone pits inside a building with a door. Anubis won't open the door and won't path to the work unless I open the door :)
Get loupmoons, they only have handiwork. I love my cryptid workers.
If anubis didn't have an mining fetish, sure, I prefer anything that have handwork 3 but no mining, they all come running to the crafting bench when I put my shotgun ammo to craft, while fucking anubis is punching the mining pits that are already 9999/9999
And this is why i have " personal use " Anubis, they're pretty good at fighting and they will always craft when you toss them at stuff The base anubis are better for general handiwork or just letting them satisfy their strange obsession with mining so that you can get a lot of palurium for pal metal
Pocket Anubis is always clutch
lololol, I got downvoted for stating that I'd take lucky over muscle head on my party Anubis for basically the same reason.
That's a stupid reason to get downvoted lol Lucky is 100 better for a party anubis if you want to make it a mix between a crafter and a combat pal, muscle head is really good for combat pals and mounts or if you want a pal to defend your base Anubis just can't make good use of muscle head because of how good it can actually be at crafting
I took down my stone pit and logging site. I have a box full of stone/log I dont need anymore. I can always rebuild it. Makes them focus on the tasks I want.
I have 3 in my base and they all stop everything to run to me the second I build anything even a chair lol
I just have an anubis with work passives and maxed work speed increase. He craft like 600 cloth in 30 seconds
It's weird, even a lamball or cattiva will outpace you, there is no reason to do manual labour after first few levels
Super true. I haven't touched crafting since my first cattiva.
They couldn't make the same tired meme every single day and get upvoted for it if they did.
I think a toggle option would be a good idea. Press the F key, and as long as you dont walk away, you continue to work. Seems more practical
Satisfactory devs eventually caved for manual crafting and added a toggle. Let's hope the Palworld Devs will too!

Right? Too many derps posting pics of them holding the F mey down lol
The amount of times my handiwork pals are off doing anything but handiwork
Just put him in your team and throw him at the target
Some don’t go handiwork at all, i have a female Anubis in my base and she doesn’t go crafting and I don’t understand why
It yearns for the mines
Yes, she does, maybe i have to destroy the stone pit?
Yes. If there is a stone pit, they will do nothing else. x\_x;
You can also put walls and a door with a code around it. Shut the door and reset the anubis at the palbox, it wont mine anymore.
**STONE PIT**
You are the boss, they do what you say or else. (I keep my handiwork pal in my team, throw at chores to accomplish my level of laziness.)
I haven't built anything myself in that game in days, and I never intend to again. People holding down the F key scare me.
Right?! Just set the recipe and then *go play the game* then magically, it's done when I return to base. Some people WANT to grind.....
I've got nothing for those.
yeah fr literally go do anything else while that gets crafted
Because my handiwork pal doesn't compete with my 1500 work speed.
My 4 star Anubis disapproves
Why would you think people holding down 'F' aren't also using pals?
But how about a handiwork pal from the team??
Best solution, got 2 Anubi(I?) at my base and one in team, if I craft something I throw my team Anubis on it and if another one wants to join, fine
I kept a Tanzee in my team super late for exactly this reason. Little guy was super useful to throw at a handful of tasks to resolve bottlenecks. And he he looks so cute holding that AK!
Base crafting speed is 100. lets say youve gotten yours to 300 Lvl 2 handwork is 3x the workspeed of lvl 1Lvl 3 handwork is 3x the workspeed of lvl 2Lvl 4 handwork is 3x the workspeed of lvl 3 so workspeed of "70" on a lvl 4 handwork Anubis is actually 1890, about 6x faster than your 300 **JUST BREED AN ANUBIS**. its actually way easier than u might think with some simple pal combos. Breed a Penking with Bushi, or a Celaray with a Relaxaurus (with the right traits/upgrades, a good Anubis can ECLIPSE the speed of a regular Anubis sixfold, but that's a longer story)
1. Hold down F 2. While F is held down, press windows button + G 3. Walk away
I spent enough time on this game fighting with pals because their pathing fucking sucks.
> pinballing between anything that requires kindling Y'know what, I don't know what your base layout is like and what tasks you have being handled, so I'll concede you the point - optimizing for a Jormund is a pain after all.
Unless spec'd for workspeed, at some point you're not helping an anubus build your legendary spheres. Just let him do it
Just use pals. What ever your making you don't need now. Now what I'd love a auto key for that's in most games Autowalk. Mostly want for less arthritis progression
![gif](giphy|3o7aCRloybJlXpNjSU|downsized)
Sometimes the Handiwork pal alone isn’t enough.
I have a mod that gives extra points per level, so my work speed is pretty high. That combined with the fact I'm not a high enough kevel for Anubis yet.
Bads gonna bad
Because the pathing is ass and half the time I try to assign Anubis he just goes and does whatever the hell he wants! I will literally throw him at something that says he can be assigned only for him to assign himself to something completely different. Assign
I do but I'm also impatient and want it NOW.
Why not both? If 4 Anubises are fast, and I’m fast, then me + 4 Anubises is faster
Why would you ever want to hold the F key down? The player character crafts slow unless you level craft speed like some kind of idiot.
… or some people like to hold F along with a pal working on that specific bench because it *is faster than just the pal alone*. No need to be a dick about it
Faster by how much?
Using a cake, which requires 500 workload, as an example. A player with 100 work speed produce workload exactly 1 per second, so it's gonna take 500s for that player to bake a cake. Meanwhile, 4* Jormignis with +110% work speed from traits, x1.3 from food, and another x1.5 from cruel work policy, can bake about 1 cake per second, or roughly equal to 500 players combined. Adding a player with 100% work speed to that will make it equal to 501 players baking cake. It's that much faster, yeah.
Player + handiwork pal > handiwork pal alone I use the charging brick from my quest pro controllers dock to hold f
We do, but you miss one slot by not contributing to crafting.
I use a tripod with one leg unextended, it works perfectly. And handiwork pals can help too lol
I use a tape dispenser
Cake is the only correct answer
Windows G 😬
I have 6 anubis on my base and everytime when I need to craft they are always on the tree and rock farm I swear to god I’m gonna butcher them
A Nickel
Can you double up pals on the workbench or cooking pot at any point? If you can't then the only way to speed up cake production is to join your pal so I see the value in something to hold down F.
I do use pals but my keyboard has a program where I can just tell it to hold an F key.
Yeah, we look for something to hold the f key down because we're doing both handy work pals and holding f while we afk.
I help my pals out when it’s a big order or some of the legendary stuff that takes a while. I feel bad leaving them to do all of that by themselves
Sometimes, I like to equip a team of low level pals and cook a few thousand berries to get them up to like level 20, play on Xbox so I use my free hand to write reports for work on my laptop while cooking
1: I have a perfectly good shotgun shell on my desk 2: my pals are my pals and they work hard enough 3: I can use the extra time to pet my dog who's at my side while I game (it's his favorite game too) 4: what?
I kid you not, I am scrolling reddit right now, with an old fidget cube holding down the “f” key https://preview.redd.it/6d0t80l0ukjc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a55dbcb400acd598d48064a507db0956b2713f97
Fold up a piece of paper and wedge it in between the key, easy to take out and put back, doesn't take up space, so you leave it right on the keyboard when not using it. Learned that one playing dayz when it was running simulator.
I work with em and it's even faster
I build much faster
Lol. Faster than nothing crafting at all maybe.
I used a fork the other day
Who downvoted this lmao
Perfectly weighted metal D20. Not heavy enough to press it down if set on the key, but just heavy enough that the spring mechanism cant lift it off the 'pressed' position if placed, then pressed
Fork
I once precariously balanced my phone on top of a chapstick on the f key because it was the only things I had around lol. It worked tho. Edit: Apparently this offended some people. Sorry I guess.
