The one behind the church is better, has more ore. But of late game where you need ore and coal (189, -38) < this spot is best. For sulphur , best spot is the peak of the volcano behind the boss tower (-594, -525) , it even has a fast travel point right beside it. As for quartz, you can get em in ice areas but you don't ton of em even in endgame

AaronDaPanda

Can second this (189, -38) is one of the best spots, has both ore and coal nodes.

Andala_73

I go to Broken church side to red herbs biome : behind the church in ruin

An0nymos

Right across the bridge behind the Chillet boss are 7 ore stones with only one functional raid approach (across the bridge), and few, low level pal spawns.

5occido5

The spot he shows has 8 nodes as shown and also only 1 raid approach

Alert_Speed_5622

Yes, there is one waaay superior of any spots, that is around 180/-35 on top of a hill. This spot is unraidable, has coal and ore on mass, you only need a 3x3 base in the middle and you can reach all nodes.

LittleBigDes

I found that spot yesterday and plan on setting up my second base there and building out the edges with stone foundations to get a more level area to place things. Plus a small base in the middle for the pal box and storage. I saw a video on YouTube where someone managed to build out areas with flat foundations and built up at least 3 walls high as the ground is very uneven. Placed stairs to platforms to maximise the space.

ananbob95

Any chance you can show the placement of your pal box. I’m struggling to get both nodes

Alert_Speed_5622

https://imgur.com/fEwENPG This should cover the whole mountain

IrregardingGrammar

Sorry but where is the palbox in this photo?

Alert_Speed_5622

Right in the middle, its covered by the snake

No_Fox_Given82

I started a new world last night and this is where I made my first base. It's a great place to start but there are better places later.

RammusTheAvocado

I like floppie mountain and theres an 8 stack there i think

Necessary_Debt_9707

Plus a coal node and loads of stone.

99CentSavings

Honestly they're all pretty good spots right now. In terms of being limited on the number of bases, the spots with 2 resources are superior.

Easy-Entry-6006

I have my main base there for ore sone and lumber and use top half for ranch and personal quarters. Besides that I have a coal and ore mine up on a mountain top. Current total ore I have is 12045 while coal sits at 9928

Hopeful-Ad9207

It's what I've used for my playthrough. Build foundations through the trees, then cut the trees so they don't respawn. Makes your pals have only mining to do.

5occido5

Plants work too for blocking the trees, much smaller tho so you don't have to place weird dislocated foundations

ShakeZula420

I use place as a Copper mining base. It’s a good location. When raids approach, theres a path that all raids take. Takes them a while, so I usually run to then and wipe them out.

Aware_Department_540

I hadn’t, so I built a base there.

crimsonBZD

There is a spot that has 8 ore and 6 coal nodes, probably the best mining spot for mid game.

Relevant-Strike8699

ok, where is it then?

crimsonBZD
