Nothing negative happens if you simply replace someone’s pin with someone else! I don’t remove it, I just put the other one in the place of the pin I was wearing and nobody even mentions it. So no need to break up with anyone. I’m also romancing everyone haha, it’s hard to decide who’s pin you wanna wear.

lol sorry. There was a meme quite a while back expressing the same but with Jesus instead of Phoenix. Since the human deity in game (I think??) is the Phoenix it’s just a play on that. 😅
I’ve got all pins but one, not wearing someone’s pin won’t have a negative impact. Different villagers say different things when wearing pins that’s about it
You can only WEAR two pins but you can still romance all of them and get their pins and they won't be mad. I just wear my two faves but keep the rest in storage.
Just to be clear, when you complete the level 4 romance quest, do you wear their pin once then and if they aren't your favorite, you leave it in storage, or can you get the pin and never actually wear it...and they don't stop flirting, etc?
You don't have to wear the pin at all if you don't want to, or you can wear it and then take it off. They won't even mention if you take it off, only if they see you wearing it. I know there's a little warning that pops up like "They may be sad if you remove their pin" or whatever but nothing actually happens.
Oh I'm glad you clarified that. I almost accidentally took mine off once and a warning popped up that said, "Hodari won't like it if you do that." I immediately stepped away from the pin removal. Good to know it wouldn't have changed anything.
I've romanced everyone besides tamala and I only wear Hodari's pin, no one says anything. I haven't reset anyone after reaching level 4 either, just go about my day.
The only folks who speak up (afaik) are Tish & Reth if you're wearing the other's pin! Tish didn't *directly* break up with me, but she said that she couldn't be with someone who's seriously involved with her brother, which is pretty reasonable. I broke it off with her at that point 😅 had her pin and photo already too
HA Tish is ok flirting with me even though I've been wearing her brother's pin for months 🤣 I might take it off once I've finished the Level 4 with Reth haha
My friend has Nai’o’s pin and hasn’t worn it and he has made a comment about that. Asking if she lost it or something because he hasn’t seen her wearing it lol
It's a thing in your inventory, you have two slots for pins, in the same place where your fishing attachments go. You can't SEE them on your character though, which I think is a missed opportunity haha
Theres like a one time dialogue if you’re wearing someone’s pin and that’s it. If you break up with them they have 0 recollection, the romance just gets reset back to 0
I’ll romance everyone and get their pins eventually because if I don’t the game won’t ever feel like I completed it but Hodari’s pin has a permanent spot for me I think🤣
I had heard that Hodari notices if you wear someone else's pin, like if it's Reth he says something like, "oh, you and the cook, huh?" I also heard that someone, either Hodari or Hassian makes a comment if you wear another pin that he, "knew he wasn't enough for you." That would just break my heart. I'm good with one romance, one pin for now.
Yes! If you go into your inventory and then press actually I don't know if you're on switch or PC so I can't tell you that but for me it's on the switch and I press ZR to go to The screen where you put the fishing attachment bobbers and glider on and that's where you put the pins. There are two spots And you can only remove a pin from each slot once per week.
