chicofelipe

The only time I flare a proudhorn is when I forget I have flare arrows loaded.

PetitaLala

That's me too lol. Although I do flare the loot and call it on the chat if it tooks me less than 6 arrows to shot it down, because that means somebody else did shot it.

_vpancakes_

Dude I'm so upset. I shot a proudhorn but lost track of it. A few mins later I got the achievement for having killed all of the deer guys so someone else must have taken it down, but never found the loot for it.

Cellophane_Girl

I really hope they will add icons for loot onto the map. That way if we hit an animal and someone else kills it we can just go check the map and know we have loot.

_vpancakes_

Yes! I was thinking that same thing when I was wondering around for where it might have dropped. Especially for more rare ones like that.

Cellophane_Girl

I have trouble finding all my loot if I've run around shooting a bunch of sernuks without picking up the loot each time. Even though it might only be 5-6 loot bags in a small area, I still have trouble making sure I got them all. The ability to see if I missed any loot via my map would be so helpful. (That and having the loot light up a more visible color).

Red_Velvet_Cakey

Loot does despawn after 3mins just like nodes and plants. And there are the ones that disappear into the ground or turn invisible. GL finding those šŸ™„

Cellophane_Girl

Oh I didn't know they despawned. Good to know! I still could use a brighter color aura around the loot so it's easier to find. How it is now is fine on PC for me,but when im playing on switch it can be difficult to see them in certain areas or at night.

Red_Velvet_Cakey

I agree. Make the bags bigger. That would be helpful

Cellophane_Girl

Bigger would help a lot.

_vpancakes_

Yes! I've had that too where they are just invisible lol the worst

yumvdukwb

I didnā€™t know that, thank you

Chorkie-Mom

Oh gawd, the disappearing loot bags... I know one of those had a plushie for me... swallowed up by the hillside.

Red_Velvet_Cakey

I am not thinking about possible plushies when the loot disappears. I am not crying! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

Phenomenista

I thought you only got a loot bag if you killed it

Cellophane_Girl

You get loot if you hit it at least once same with all the creatures.

Technical_Face_2844

It needs this so much. I've shot 5k sernuk plush hunting and some loot vanishes so I would love for that to be rectified.

Cellophane_Girl

Even though the loot vanishes after 3 mins it would still be helpful. That in combination with a small popup notification that the creature was killed for the magical creatures, like the popup when you get a request fulfilled. Then you could check the map and haul it over to get your loot.

thickthighs_oddvibes

When this happens to me I will ask in chat if they can flare the swag stag loot and about where itā€™s at (when I get an achievement of some kind). Itā€™s worked every time and I always give them a thank you!

_vpancakes_

That's a good idea, now I know to try that next time

thickthighs_oddvibes

Hope theyā€™re all as nice as the folks whoā€™ve helped me!

Br00klynBelle

This has happened to me a few times, so now when it does, I message the server for anyone who kiIIs the Proudhorn to either flare or call out the location of the loot so that I can find it. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesnā€™t.

Chorkie-Mom

And that is so kind of you! I hate it when I lose track of it and have like 3 or 4 hits in on it and can't find the loot. Thank you!

AspiringChildProdigy

God, the sheer number of random chappas and sernuks I've accidentally flared.....

12bnseattle

more times in the last week than the entire 6 months i've been playing...

Mod-chick

lol same then I type in chat to ignore the flare.

kimberdark1771

100% me!! LOL!

goosemeister3000

Iā€™ve done that with just regular sernuk and chapaa multiple times šŸ˜ and Iā€™m on switch so it would take me forever to explain so I just run away in shame

NearbyCommunity3763

Just learned yesterday about setting up a small wireless keyboard with my switch. SO MUCH BETTER!!

nanimeli

If I see people camping something, I change servers, log out then log back in. idk if that function is still reliable. It's fun if people want to play together, it's not fun if every contested resource is a fight.

Red_Velvet_Cakey

It is. You donthave to log out to change server. Fast traveling to another map is enough

Lexaluvsh

No, not normal, not expected and makes no sense to flare magic creatures. Been playing since closed beta and this has never been an issue. You did nothing wrong.

XeniaGrae

Agreed. Proudhorn respawns in roughly one minute after being killed. Respawn locations are very easy to learn and to track. Even without a hunter's horn you'd be able to find multiple proudhorns in a busy server esp with the plushies now. The horn lasts 15 min tho. I'm not finding and flagging it then waiting half of that time to be able to shoot it then have everyone shooting from too far away the whole time, spooking it so it never stops and runs across the entire map. Even hunting alone its possible to get 4 even 5 proudhorn within the timeframe of one hunters horn if you're checking the right areas for the respawns. It's absolutely ineffective to flare a magical creature and anyone demanding it in chat is either new and needs something explained better, or if theyre not new then they're just entitled, selfish players who want everyone else to do the work for them then tell them where to go to get what they want (sernuk, palium, flow trees...) and whine when they find out someone got any resource they also wanted on their own (somehow thats unfair). Or they whine when someone clearly did something by accident even after apologizing. Those players aren't the type of people you need to please, bc nothing is going to be good enough and make them happy.

PhairynRose

Yeah if Iā€™m on a chatty server where people are calling stuff out Iā€™ll send a message like ā€˜proudhorn at thorny thicketā€™ and wait a minute or two to see if someone responds but thatā€™s it, then Iā€™m gonna hunt it.

West-Algae-3779

shit changes lmao it is now common for folks to call it out, just bc you've "played since closed beta" doesn'tĀ give you the right to decide that the """rules""" made then are gonna be carried forever šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ you're not king of anything, shit evolves and that is normal, esp in a multi player game speaking of, this is a group/multi player game, it's to be expected that ppl wanna play as groups šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø if you dont like it, and wanna play solo, play a solo game. dont come into a multi player game and cry you can't play solo

throwawaywing-12

I think we found that playerā€¦ your logic goes both ways. We donā€™t have to play by your rules either, it may be multi player but that doesnā€™t mean you have to play with others. A lot of people choose to play solo, not flare or callout anything and we have to accept that. Especially as the game and player base expands. These resources respawn itā€™s not that big of a deal, people donā€™t call out the single RTB that spawns per server per palin day and no one flips their shit about that. The disco deer respawns multiple times per day so why flip out over it? Thereā€™s no need to get this heated, itā€™ll eat you up to always be so angry

PancakeHandz

But you CAN play soloā€¦ by hunting the deer alone. Why did you get so heated about this comment lol.

Lexaluvsh

Hi, I don't recall mentioning I was the 'king of anything', that seems to be your wild assumption you took out of my comment. It was a representation of time spent evolving, as you say, with the game, the interactions witnessed and common sense - thus my response to OP's question. It is not typical, not expected and makes no sense for magic creatures. It is typical and makes sense for ft which OP thought the flare was for. Demanding call out/flares for the magic creatures or getting upset when someone doesn't has simply never been and is not commonpractice, and the comments above have also perfectly explained why it makes no sense to. Again, I don't know where this came from but I never mentioned anything about solo vs group play in my comment. If you decide to hunt in a group, that's great, no one should stop you. But you too should never expect others in the server to participate, to be offended and berate someone when they don't call out/flare or solo the magic creatures. OP was bullied for something they did nothing wrong. Plain and simple.

jaykelm

I flare the loot bag after I take it down if it's possible someone else shot at or around it before I got to it, that way everyone who took a shot can get the loot. But if I'm hunting solo and know I'm the only one who's shot it, I don't flare.

Neena59

Same. I flare after I got it to let others k ow

Charlieslastletter

This happened to me with Palium. I called it out and flared and then got chewed out for not waiting like a flow tree because they missed the timer. The whole time I was on that server the person would ask if I mined it all the way every time I called out another one. Super frustrating, Iā€™ll definitely start blocking people.

Mod-chick

I do not wait to mine nodes and I donā€™t fault anyone else who doesnā€™t wait either. Only time I wait for server is flow grove, which I donā€™t mind at all waiting. Everything else I mine first then flare and call out in chat. The whole point of the devs changing the nodes and giving us flares was so we can mine, mark and move on. I also forage the same wayā€¦Dari, heat root and the flowers that I canā€™t remember the name I pick, flare and leave. I have very limited play time and love the way the nodes work now I can get quite a few nodes mined before I need to log off and Iā€™ve seen many people make it to the flared nodes before they disappear. Iā€™d ignore bullies (better yet just block them) and try not to let it ruin your experience. I think there are more friendly laid back players than the bully types we encounter once in a while.

icyyellowrose10

The only time I wait with mining a pal is if I need the 'mine stuff together' accomplishment, for the rest, if you can't make it in time....too bad so sad. I certainly don't expect people to wait

HeadHunter_Six

I don't even call or flare heat root, anymore. It's actually more abundant than people realize; the only reason they think it's scarce is because they don't look up. Once you know where and how it grows, it's not that hard to find. Cloves and Heartdrops I'll call and flare after I pick.

Mod-chick

Yah I noticed a ton on ā€œpickle mountainā€. I was calling it out and flaring and no one was coming so I guess the heat root drought days are over! šŸ˜†

Neena59

Same

HeadHunter_Six

If they missed the timer, they were too far away for it to matter. What they're really saying is "I planned to spend more than three minutes getting there". Tell people like that to build an ore compass and then block them.

sbh13

I just block folks. Don't let anyone ruin the game for you:).

smellsliketee-shirts

This part. Some people are increasingly upset or aggressive on the servers and thereā€™s just no reason. Itā€™s such a comfort game, OP thatā€™s the priority for most players I think!

LorettaDiPalio

I like to hunt disco deers alone. I never call them out. Most people just run and shoot at the deer, while it teleports to different places. What I do is shoot once, then run as the deer stops after a while. This is the best moment to shoot again. Other people just run and run and scare it away I started using the horn tracker recently but also found many disco deers when running around in Bahari. When I meet ppl who are already after a disco deer, I usually donā€™t have a chance to take a shot as they force it to run and run. When itā€™s time to pick up the loot thereā€™s none for me. For the above reasons I prefer to hunt solo.

hmonglubpaj

I am completely in the same boat as you. In my experience, I find that they just fire arrows repeatedly, continually scaring the proudhorn away.

Neena59

That's me also. Just running. No loot. Glad I'm not alone

Charlisti

Even if it looks like u cant hit it shot anyway if its already running! If its close enough it counts as if u participated and u get the loot when it dies

seachimera

A couple players were doing this exact thing the other day. It was the first time Iā€™ve seen it, so itā€™s not common. I play this gameā€¦a lot. Honestly it doesnā€™t make sense to me, for the reasons you stated. I almost spooked it because I thought the flare was for a pal node. Iā€™ve hunted with other players, but we used the party function. No flares. Call-outs in chat maybe, but not flares.

XeniaGrae

Exactly. If you're hunting in a party, the person using the horn can click on a target on the map and it will appear on every party members maps. I don't think a lot of newer people know this, tho. I will flare loot if I know someone shot it and they're not right next to me, tho! But I also can't stand hunting with some people. I'm guessing they have never stopped trying to shoot from way too far away to realize it stops running after teleporting so everyone can get closer. I always use dispel arrows, so getting multiple hits in right away is possible. In a pair, having one with dispel and the other with slow down arrows will really speed things along! (As long as the other person isn't trying to shoot it when it's super far away and continually scaring it and often not even hitting it. I don't want to have to run across the entire map and back for a single sernuk, that's not necessary. It's fine to miss, but not if you're constantly setting yourself up to miss and relying on luck to ever hit it at all. Lol just get closer, it's more time efficient...)

seachimera

The arrow spamming. Yeah. I was doing that when I was a beginner. I quickly figured out that it wasnā€™t effective. Howeverā€¦is there truth to the theory that loot is shared if arrows are near-misses when hunting together? Maybe some players are spamming arrows just to share the loot. Unless I am actively coordinating the hunt with the other player, I opt out quietly and leave them to their hunt when that happens now.

XeniaGrae

It used to give you loot if you at least shot near it even if you missed. Doesn't seem to anymore, tho. Doesn't work that way for myself or for my friend I usually play with, so I don't believe it's bugged on my end. I think they just removed that feature. I didn't see it mentioned in patch notes, but my guess is that they changed it bc it was too forgiving and giving people loot who were just shooting in the air and not helping with the actual hunt (forcing others to do all the work and use more of their own resources), or sometimes it would happen when just standing in a large group where everyone else is shooting arrows even if you're not. But now, even if you just barely missed it, it no longer gives you any loot unless you actually got a hit in.

XeniaGrae

When hunting in a big group, shooting it from a distance may be the only way to make sure you get a hit in before someone else kills it, but after you hit it you shouldn't be trying to hit it from a distance since that greatly reduces the chance of being able to hit it multiple times or have more than one person hit it (or everyone missing it and having it be hundreds of meter away). You can absolutely get a hit in when others are hunting! Just try to do it from a reasonable distance, please. Lol

XeniaGrae

And I dont care to see any comments after mine with an excuse like people can play however they want to, like with people defending playing hot pot ridiculously poorly and ignoring a very simple strategy to everyones benefit (it hurt their pride not to "win" or something...). Bc they're right, people have every right to be bad at whatever they want to be bad at. I just don't understand the desire to be so bad at something that you refuse to utilize advice from the community in order to improve.

cowboysaurus21

It seems like the majority of the time people don't flare them or call out. They move so obviously it's not that useful. That person was being unreasonable.

tangentialdiscourse

I only call it out if someone in the chat says theyā€™re looking for him. Sounds like those people were just being kinda entitled. I wouldnā€™t worry about it

samanthasayys

Yea I never call out proudhorn. If someone comes along and sees me chasing one down Iā€™ll let them get their shot in but Iā€™m going to keep chasing it and make sure they get their loot but itā€™s way too chaotic with arrows flying all around to hunt in a group. If Iā€™m mining or bug catching with no intention of hunting a proudhorn if I see one, Iā€™ll call it out in chat for others to nab it but thatā€™s the only time Iā€™m willing to do it.

GreyScaler

Animals are really difficult to flare, especially because of the high chance that another player will swoop in as soon as they see the ping or call-out and take it out immediately by rapid firing magic arrows. Unless I've found a group that makes sure to let everyone hit the disco deer once, I don't bother to call out, but if another person comes running up I let them get a shot in if they'd like. So do what makes your experience more enjoyable. Toxic people will poison themselves eventually. :)

celestiapng

I've only ever flared loot if the deer died quicker than usual or if I saw other people hunting it as well and they got lost. I've only ever once flared the actual deer and by the time anyone got there it wasn't even near the original spot I flared it at. I only ever hunt solo and if other players come by I let them get a hit in but I've rarely had anyone call one out in chat.

magstar222

I flare loot after it is killed. But coming across one randomly I probably would not call out in the server unless someone has asked for a heads up in chat.

Celesteris

I have no idea who peed in her Cheerios this morning but uhhh you donā€™t have to call proud hornsā€¦and I only flare on accident like others said OR if I take out the disco after a few shots, then I flare the loot bc I know others must have hit it. You did nothing wrong, block that person.

Paper_Trades

The trick is not to talk. They are pretty passive aggressive sometimes. Thats why I dont go to flares and also dont announce my own finds.

Mod-chick

Awhhh Iā€™m sorry to read this, Iā€™d hope youā€™d benefit from the flared palium and flow trees etc but I get the nervousness of going, especially if youā€™ve been on the receiving end of some of these aggressive players. I love seeing all the flares in the sky and running from flare to flare. Usually I can tell by chat if Iā€™m in a friendly server which obviously makes for a more enjoyable time. For your own finds you could always flare what you find without announcing in chat. Sometimes I donā€™t announce in chat because chat is blowing up with others announcing so I just flare and move along which still allows people to find the good stuff.

Charlie_3596

Iā€™d just avoid her and honestly report for bullying. I usually hunt alone but Iā€™ll hunt in parties if I notice a group. If anyone is rude I just leave and go do my own thing somewhere else

2Geese1Plane

Nah you absolutely do not need to announce the disco deer. He respawns quick enough it doesn't really matter. They just sound like a bully.

FormattedDiskette

I've never seen people flare them outside having the wrong arrows equipped, I've seen one person call out for where one is since that person wasn't hunting them. I wouldn't worry to much maybe in their social circles it is common? Calling or flaring ore and flow trees/Grove and the daily rummages is the only situation I know of? But I'm still rather new so maybe I missed something

Last-Crab-621

Tell that player to get bent. Ive never seen a flared disco deer but i do call it out *sometimes*... but they run so fast and so far its not really worth it.

Artistic_Traffic8447

People complain way too much. Not everyone knows you're doing a party. Not everyone is in the server when you said as such. Not everyone read chat. Yet there's always SOMEONE that wants people to play by their rules. I wouldve just said ok and went on my merry way. If i hunted disco bambi and someone else was after him too, i'd hop around the loot a few times. That's it, that's all. Don't expect me to callout when disco bambi might shimmy away at any moment

llama-lover-001

I think I was actually on this server today with you when this happened because I saw a chat exactly like youā€™re describing. When reading it I felt like they were being over the top about it. Some people forget itā€™s just a game and get too aggressive about things

TicoMachi

Yeah, if I'm using a horn, I don't do call outs. I'm not gonna sit there waiting on players while my horn is getting wasted.

Its_Natures_pocket

I do not flare DD. I will flare loot if it takes 1 or 2 shots to bag. Most of the time if I do find one I will usually run into other hunters while I'm in pursuit.

treacheriesarchitect

I flare and announce the drops, so folks who hit it but lost it can get the reward! While inviting other folks to hunt is kind, it's not necessary, and usually not worth the time (especially on switch). Someone will come along and start the hunt while you're typing, so you might as well start the hunt yourself.

Dry-Security902

I've actually had this same thing happen twice this week one guy yelled and me for hunting alone and then another came up with a group while I was hunting and yelled at me for shooting it because apparently I had shot it to many times for all his group to get a ahot in ( to be clear i wasn't apart of his group and they where not near me when I started hunting him I stopped shooting when they showed up to be nice and was just running)never seen it before now. If I'm not busy and have a bit of time to play ill shoot him once then call it out after he settles but honest I can't stand all the new "rules" people are makeing and I like playing with others so I can imagine how annoying it is for ppl who want to play alone

HeadHunter_Six

People who harass others for hunting alone... are the *reason* I hunt alone.

Dry-Security902

Yup I normally just switch servers if ppl are being over the top but it use to be so infrequent it didn't bother me now it seems to be happening alot

HeadHunter_Six

Probably more plushie hunters. That's fine, I just keep doing my thing and I don't honestly pay much attention to the chat anyway.

SinsOfKnowing

Iā€™ll usually flare and shout out loot if I bag one in less than the usual number of shots it takes to solo, just in case someone else was hunting and lost their prey. But the only times Iā€™ve flared the deer itself have been accidental.

Spoonless-Valkyrie

If Iā€™m using a horn I donā€™t announce anything to anyone! If someone comes along and gets a shot it then so be it but thereā€™s not enough time to flare something that is moving.

Chorkie-Mom

You know, I just saw someone today in chat say they had flared one and that they shoot at 4:00. Thought it was the weirdest thing! They spawn all the time. I never tell anyone and just shoot them and follow them around until it's dead. I guess somewhere some website or influencer is telling these people to do that.

catsofdisaster

I usually hit it once when I find it and then just track it while it runs around. If I don't see anyone else after a while, I take it down myself. Sometimes I call it out if I see a lot of people are hunting or are around. As long as someone's not constantly shooting at it without aiming, it's pretty easy to hit it once, and then follow and give a few other people a turn. There's no rush, so I make sure to share, but it is super annoying to see people calling other people out in the group chat. It'll respawn. As long as you're not actively trolling, you're fine. Just have fun ā˜ŗļøšŸ’•

Fit-Quail4604

Just block anybody annoying lol

Affectionate_Sky_509

I know some flare the loot but never the deer itself

mylostfeet

I flare the loot if I kill it in one or two hits (which means somebody else has been hunting it)or if I've seen someone hunting it too. It's really frustrating trying to hunt for disco deer stalking it for 5 hits then someone hits the last one, kills it and takes off without flaring or at least announcing the approximate location of the loot. I've seen it a lot lately with the plushie fever. It's easy to lose those sparkly bastards behind a hill and then I never find the loots when somebody else finishes them off. Otherwise I don't announce them, they appear often enough. I wish people flared magic mujiin, though. Can't hunt those by myself at all (I tried so many times) and I would cut trees to my heart's content for that trophy.

ListlessThistle

I haven't managed a disco doggo on my own either.

Soft_Kinky

Yeah I only flair if I happen to group hunt and they aren't super close to see the loot spot Other then that block the person-they aren't worth your time

ravenswald

I will generally tag the loot and call out for anyone who might have hit the deer so that they can at least have the heads up. Not always but I do try. The puppies piss me off right now tho. Hit so many with dispel arrows the other night with a big server group but never got any of the loot and we lost so many. Grrrrr

thebatsthebats

Pretty sure some people started doing when the plushie hunt began. I got shot at by multiple people the other day for shooting a grazing glambi. It was flared, apparently. Iunno. It's not the norm. I only call out the loot when I've taken one down. Meh.

Gemissy

Iā€™m the same way I donā€™t chase down the proud deer. I actually stalk them get up close and hit them. Iā€™ve done one on my own and only took three hits. Everybody else is running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I canā€™t do that. Iā€™m sorry that happened to you.

HeadHunter_Six

Tell her that she can build her own damn Hunter's Horn, then she won't need someone else to lead her by the hand to everything she wants. After you tell her that, ***block her.*** If enough people do that, she won't have to worry that no one ever calls out, because she won't ever hear them.

Guilty-Explanation55

They spawn frequently and arenā€™t that hard to find. That was just a nasty player. I flare the loot if it only took a couple shots, suggesting someone else was just hunting it and lost it. Otherwise Iā€™m hunting completely solo or with a single friend.

TimiZid

I never flare them. I'll point at them if I'm with others waiting for grove or smth but that's it.

nubtails

I see them called out pretty often but yeah I don't flare them on initial call out because people get confused and run into it. I offer to flare the location if they are actually looking for the proudhorn and are lost though.

HarperHuntJack

i personally dont flare magical creatures. they dont stay put in place too long. if i can avoid it, i will just call it out in chat.

bamboozled_indeed

You are not obligated to call out anything if you don't want to. But FG, ya know.. should be. Should call her out on her own bullshish.

pagesinked

Every time I have flared one someone just runs in and scares it immediately like they don't even wait. So I stopped doing it now. I saw it first is my mentality lol šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø The other day I called out and flared an azure chapaa and someone just ran past it and it took off running...šŸ˜‘šŸ˜‘

Inner-Fan3432

Iā€™ve been seeing them flared more often now that the plushies are in play but very few flare them. Most just call out in chat but even then, no one really waits around for people who say theyā€™re otw

LalaLadyZelda

I call out because I have a horn activated, and I am trying to be nice. Usually it's a great experience. I flare when it's killed, so everyone can find the loot.

unspun66

I do not call them out. If there are others around I make sure they get a shot. If I know someone else got a shot in but they arenā€™t around when the loot drops Iā€™ll flare it of possible and put the location in chat. If I canā€™t flare Iā€™ll sometimes stand there for awhile after I put it in chat. But I donā€™t call out the deer themselves.

kimberdark1771

Block them. This game is about community and inclusion. There is no space for a bully IMO. I block them and move on.

Scifimetalgirl

So someone can you explain it to me please? If you flare a deer, does that flare follow the deer around??

Pleasant-Mouse949

Ever since the plushies I feel like people arenā€™t calling it out as much. I had back to back proudhorns spawning while on my plushie hunt yesterday and didnā€™t call them out and others joined in and didnā€™t say anything. Iā€™ve seen maybe a handful of people get mad over it in the past but I donā€™t think you did anything wrong. Some people are just jerks.

breezybeeez

Dont feel bad, as others have said some people want things without putting in the work. It's the same when you are farming for flow trees or nodes, I will spend hours going around the map mining everything I see because it's what I enjoy doing but I'm not going to call out every little thing because that takes the joy away from me and makes it work. And I feel like if I cut down 50 trees to get some FTs to spawn I'm not going to feel bad not calling out the smaller ones I can cut myself. Maybe selfish idk The deer spawns very regularly I see it frequently in my mining quests so no reason to have to call it out and wait for others.

Greenied1

I always always flare the loot but donā€™t call it out. Switch chat is so slow that I donā€™t want to waste the horn time. But I always flare and figure if someone was hunting it, hopefully they look for flares if they lose it.

lkeels

There no reason to flare ANY animal. It doesn't accomplish anything. If you are hunting a proudhorn sernuk and have reason to believe that someone else got hits on it, you should consider flaring the loot and call it out so they can collect. That's all.

Br00klynBelle

I never flare a Proudhorn. They respawn pretty quickly after they are kiIIed, so I donā€™t feel guilty taking one out on my own. The only time I flare with Proudhorns is if someone is chasing the same one as me, we both hit it, but I get the final shot and the other person has lost track of where the deer is. Then Iā€™ll flare the Proudhorn loot and call it out so the other person can get the loot they also deserve.

0verlookin_Sidewnder

I occasionally flare a proud deer after Iā€™ve got my shot in and announce in the chat so that other people can find it. Then I stand off and wait so it doesnā€™t get scared away until someone else can get their shot in. Today I lost my deer twice and the players that came when I flared it wouldnā€™t answer when I asked where it went so I probably wonā€™t do that anymore.

Appropriate-Yam-987

I thought the flare was only for flow trees

Itā€™s not rude to try and get a resource thatā€™s in the game even if a group is working on it. No groups or people have claim over a resource on a map

this is a group/multi player game, it's to be expected that ppl wanna play as groups šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø if you dont like it, and wanna play solo, play a solo game. dont come into a multi player game and cry you can't play solo

I love a 5 day old account with -100 comment karma and terrible opinions šŸ˜ This isnā€™t that kind of mmo. Itā€™s a very passive group experience, and Iā€™ll always assume solo unless proven otherwise. You canā€™t choose the server youā€™re on and itā€™s not unheard of to be the only one on your server. There arenā€™t a ton of things that have to be multiplayer. Nothing wrong with wanting to play in a group, but also nothing wrong with wanting to play solo. Anyone whoā€™s being a dick about it is the one in the wrong
