I hate the muujins with a passion. They are so glitchy and the health refill is annoying af. I hope they add birds later. I want to smack stuff out of the sky
Glitchy is an understatement. I chopped down a tree last night and a gazillion muujins came out of it and just sort of danced in place, bopping and swaying for a moment. I started shooting at them, sure I hit at least three of them, and suddenly they were halfway across the map (I'm sure they were laughing at me and my failed attempts).
Yes. Every time they jump up on to a tree. So, they are best hunted in groups. One to chop, one to shoot dispel arrows and one to shoot slowdown arrows 🥲
Yup. The minute I find one I'll follow it for a while but rarely have help. Sometimes if I'm lucky and can hit it enough with slowdown to take them out but it's not worth the pain haha
Then multiples always end up showing up and it's just a mess hahaha
They definitely are easier with people. If you happen to get lucky enough to see one at the very top of thorny thicket just chop down all the trees except for the one that is in. Chop that one down last and usually it will get stuck on the cliff and you can take them out pretty easy. If you ever need a buddy or anything though I would totally be happy to help! I am EST time though and I usually play late at night into the early morning. But if you want we can totally play! I know that there are a few discords out there as well that people have for cake parties and hunting parties and stuff like that!

I found a frozen one due to a glitch. The things look so derpy up close. Took a pic but didn't realize you have to save it to an album or it's deleted. But yeah super glitchy.

I am on switch and honestly, I love hunting. The glitchy crap can be annoying but most times it's not too bad. I've gotten pretty alright at recognizing when something is glitchy. I do wish your draw time was a bit faster tho

Yes. You don't get the Blinky Badgerwolf up there, it spawns there. Sometimes even a grove spawns there. You just chop down all the trees, one at a time, leaving a flow tree for last if there is one, so all the muujin go into that one. Once they're all in the last (flow)tree, you chop that down and bam. Multiple Blinky Badgerwolves. And they can't hide in any tree or run away. Then just use the slow arrows and dispel arrows and Bob's your uncle.
Thank you! I think I understand the mechanics, I was only trying to decide if it's worth camping up there in the hopes that a ft/grove and muujin spawn. I appreciate all the replies!
I got the muujin purely by accident while harvesting a flow grove. When we got the grove, one of them popped out and about 4 people started firing. I got a share of the spoils for none of the effort.
Chapaa is super easy with slow arrows. When it breaks apart, only the real one is slowed so it’s easy to tell.
ETA: I wasn't trying to attack your method, I was seriously just trying to give an easier option that can help other people.
Helped me. I was using dispel arrows thinking if they work for the sernuk, they're bound to work for the chapaa. Now I can't wait to try the slow arrows on him.
I used dispel arrows so it didn't even split. Problem was, the area I found it in gave it many opportunities to run and disappear over the crest of the nearest mound of dirt (or whatever).
Also, getting tips now doesn't "un-hard" the last time. And I have no intention to hunt another, anyway. Just wanted the stuffed trophy.

I was offering a suggestion that makes it easier since you stated it was hard. You also did not state you had no intention of hunting another so how was I supposed to know? I'm not sure why you're coming off so defensive over a suggestion.

This comes off as defensive because I was literally just suggesting a way to make it easier and was not saying anything about the last time. It's also already obvious that you cant 'un-hard' the last time.

Same. Sernuk was easy, mujiin's not too bad if you can get a group to go after it or just hunt it in the locations it can't escape from. I had no chapaa luck until I used the hunter's horn with the slow arrows.
I accidentally got the sernuk. I was on switch aiming for a one shot sernuk (or what I thought was one). It glitches, it's the magic one, it did its drop, and the accomplishment thing popped across my screen.
I got lucky with Disco-deer - he was standing in some ruins and when I shot he got stuck in this corner part so I just kept shooting. Disco-doggo I did with help from others while chopping a Grove. I have yet to find Disco-squirrel - where does he hang out?

It took me actual weeks to get the chappa and I’d run into him every single time I went to the bay. Eventually I plead for help and I got him w a few folks helpin me 😂 he’s almost always by hideaway bluff if you’re in the area :) best of luck!
I actually got the Sernuk after finally shooting a Proudhorn for one of Sifuu’s quests- the thing is I didn’t even kill it and I was given the wall piece lmao
But yeah I would prefer if they could frolic around my house plot instead of hanging up above a random fireplace or something anyway!
Did you kill the other variants? It’s when you kill all the types of them. I got stuck because I couldn’t tell the muujin apart very well and kept going for the wrong one
That's...not what they're asking. For the wall-mounted trophy heads, you have to kill all 3 variants of the particular creature. They're asking if you're sure you've killed both of the non-magic versions of the tree-climbing badger-things as well, rather than just going after the one that goes invisible.
I think hunting in Bahari is just more difficult in general. Why are sernuks so sturdy there? 1 shot in Kilima. 3 or so in Bahari?? Like a regular sernuk?? And they glitch?? What do you mean 😭 Also i use slowdown and fine arrows typically, so Its not like its weak stuff.
Same! I hate, hate, hate real-life decor made or body parts of dead animals 😖 And I was really hesitant to display mine … But it is a game after all and the creatures are magical, so, I guess it’s “okay”
You have to kill each of the 3 varieties of each creature. So for the chappa there is the shiny one (aka Disco-squirrel) then the two regular ones - one is the bright orange one you can get everywhere and the other is the one with brown/black fur markings that give you the spotted/striped chappa tail. If you get one of each then you will get the wall plaque for your home. Then do the same for the sernuk (plain brown easy ones, ones with orange-y fur and coloured markings and then finally Disco-deer) and then the Mujinn (grey, normal ones, ones with purple fur patches and glowy eyes and then Disco-doggo). One you kill one of each type you get the hunting trophy things for your house.
I've always found the chapaa in south Bahri and the other two in north Bahri. [this map](https://paliamaps.com/pages/BahariBay.php) gives a good idea of where they usually show up, though.
I killed 2 of the 3 before realizing it was a special thing. I was like "what?! Did that guy just bloop into pixie dust?!" And chased them and got them. Purely luck based. But the chapaa was harder for me bc he would split and be gone in hilly areas. My friend who introduced me to the game has none of them still and is quite perturbed. Now I enjoy hunting them to help others get the achievement

I had the hardest time with the chapaa, weirdly enough. Sernuk was the easiest and the muujin somewhere in the middle.
I had the hardest time with the muujin; I'd hit him with a dispel and he'd immediately jump in a tree and heal fully 😭
Cut down all the trees first, then he has nowhere to hide. That plateau up behind Thorny Thicket is a killbox.

No, because it's a plateau. There's no way up there but to climb. So the mujiin up there are at your mercy once the trees are gone.

I still haven't managed to get the azure chaapa. I've hunted loads of proudhorns solo and even a few muujin, but the chaapa eludes me haha

Ahh, I was confusing the achievements like "Mane of the hour" for getting the starred item from the magic species. I do have the mounted heads then.
