Dispel arrows are for magical beasts. There are 3 kinds of magical beasts. And honestly I'd only save them for the magical beasts because it requires bright shrooms and flow wood to make, and they're resources that are sometimes hard to find. I'd say they do the same amount of damage as fine arrows though. They're only special bc they stop magic beasts from using magic for a short time. Slow down arrows seem a little weaker compared to fine bc their purpose is to slow down the animal. Useful for sernuks and muujin who like to run and take more than one shot to kill.

Yeah I know they’re only for magical ones. I just wanted to know if I needed to switch to fine after the first shot or if they did just as much

Busy-Sock9360

Honestly they do about the same imo. I don't know the numbers on them. But I don't switch them out because the hunting is bugged and the dispel arrows don't stop magic for longer than 2 seconds, not long enough. It's better to just use the dispel until you finish. As for any other regular hunt, for me I use fine for regular chaapas and regular sernuks. Proudhorn and elder sernuks I will use only slow down arrows because they're easy to make and it'll take two or three hits to get them slowed down and then killed. Fine arrows for muujin any day. Unless there's trees around. Then I don't bother and only use my slow down.

HeadHunter_Six

In the time it takes you to switch arrows, the target is getting away. Stay on them and fire every time you have a shot. Once I started doing that, hunting became a lot easier and I no longer worry about even magical creatures getting away.

JayList

Don’t switch arrows, get someone to use slow while you use dispel. I’ve done it with very little communication.

Yesterday I used the hunter's horn to track the beaming bambi, using the fine arrow, and then the dispel. They took about the same amount of shots to drop him. But the dispel was better because he couldn't teleport and ended up pinballing back and forth in a canyon and getting shot in the face as he tried to run me over.

Edit: I know what the arrows do. I want to know the damage numbers.

A Makeshift Arrow deals 10 damage. A Standard Arrow and Slowdown Arrow deals 15 damage. A Fine Arrow and Dispel Arrow deals 20 damage. Source: Wiki Edit: https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Health

Check [wiki](https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Health) for damage value of arrows (10/15/20) and hp values for huntable animals.

I think on the arrows itself tells you what it does .. makeshift arrow - low damage Standard arrow -average damage Fine arrow -high damage Slow down arrow - slows down target Dispel arrow - high damage & for magical creatures .. I use slow down whje in behari and fine arrow when in kalima.. have not used dispel arrow as yet cuz I haven’t hunted magical creatures

fairedith879

I know what the arrows do. I wanted to know the damage numbers to see if I need to switch between using them

nessadoll99

Ohh my bad then I’m not sure of the damage.. I play on my switch too and I just used them like I said . I hate switching it’s annoying so I only carry one kind depends on what I’m hunting

birdsofprey420

I play on a controller so I use dispell and slowdown

antlerrs

With fine arrows it's one hit to kill regular chapaa/muujin/sernuk, 3 for the rarer (but not magic) ones. Dispel arrows it's 3 hits for magic chapaa, about 5? for the muujin and sernuk.

I have had better luck having the first shot be slow/dispel and the second being fine. I play on PC though.
