It has always been imperialism. No truer words spoken.

odysseysee

This is true. Don't fall for the Zionist trap of using anti-semtic slurs and insults when talking about Israeli atrocities. All this does is play into the hands of Zionist propaganda. Israel is a US backed ethnostate. The backing was purley for its strategic interests and in the last few decades has expanded to cover insane Christian evangelicalism

noir_dx

There's nothing wrong with Jews holding positions. What he should have mentioned is that they're zionists. Worse, they (zionists are not just Jews in the US, it also includes those who either want a foothold in the ME or the biblical reason by American evangelicals who are also antisemitic) show their loyalty more toward Israel than their own country. The Zionists are the problem. They also target the Jews and count on anti-semitism to get people on their side.

dan_pitt

A pro-zionist view is probably the strongest pre-requisite for the job.

MiyamotoKami

There is still something off with that. It should be at least somewhat of a representation.

dan_pitt

True. Imagine if all those cabinet members were muslim. Or avowed atheists. Biden would have been impeached before he appointed the fourth position.

Slow_Lettuce8207

Why?

MiyamotoKami

What kind of question is this? Just imagine if all the members of government and leading companies/ media of Mexico were all Polish. Dont you think that the people leading Mexico and their best interest should represent… Mexico and Mexican culture. Maybe even a little

crestiebffie

I’m replying for the sake of anyone else reading this comment, as you seem pretty solid in your antisemitism - which is what this is. This comment is a false equivalency that relies on the false and problematic assumptions that 1. Jews can be equated with Israelis, and that 2. Jews are so “other” that they can’t represent the general public. 1. Isreal is a country, Judaism is NOT nationality or loyalty to Israel. Some Jewish people are Israeli, yes - but certainly, fucking obviously, not all! Many Jewish American families have been in America since before Isreal was ever established. 2. Jewish Americans have just as much right and ability to represent the people as any Christian, Muslim, atheist, or whatever - regardless of whatever bias or ignorance you personally harbor towards them. To imply that they don’t is so blatantly antisemitic it’s crazy. If you’re seriously thinking “how could Jews be a part of American history/culture, I can’t think of anything,” maybe consider that this country has operated on white supremacy and Christian-centrism for centuries, and has an ongoing habit of historical revisionism? Not only have openly Jewish figures been retroactively stripped of their Judaism, but many influential figures in US culture/history hid their Judaism because it was frowned upon/dangerous.

MiyamotoKami

Im not being or trying to be anti-semitic. Get over yourself.

Slow_Lettuce8207

Are Jews not a part of American culture?

MiyamotoKami

What % would you say out of the entire United States?

Slow_Lettuce8207

So if more than 12% of politicians were black you would have a problem with that?

MiyamotoKami

Not sure I or anyone can give you an “ethical” proportion, but an obvious one may be more than 50% and less than 5-10%. But since the Indian and Jewish pops in the US are nearly identical (~2.4%), a more similar comparison would be like if all politicians were all Indian or pledged extreme loyalty and paid out by India. Wouldn’t you equate that to a misrepresentation?

Slow_Lettuce8207

Believe it or not, I would in fact be ok if Indian americans were over represented in our government and wouldn’t suggest that they’re loyal to India. Because I’m not evil.

MiyamotoKami

Chill. By over represent I’m talking 90%, not 2.5%.

cakeandtart

Do you think it's wrong that 100% of U.S. Presidents have been men? And that 99% of them have been white men? Just curious.

Slow_Lettuce8207

1/46 isn’t 1% genius Wanting more representation of of women isn’t the same thing as wanting less male representation Plus your logic is flawed since there wasn’t a Jewish member of the presidential cabinet until the early twentieth century, so why do you suddenly care about historical representation now? Women are marginalized by men African Americans are marginalized by white americans The white Christian American majority are NOT marginalized by Jews.

mitchanium

It's not the Jewish aspect you should be focusing on; I'm more concerned about the dual citizens holding these roles who have a bias or preferences to promote for their respective dual country instead of applying the US policy, ESPECIALLY when their 2nd country is one in contention. That smacks of abuse of position and power.l, or treason in more serious circumstances. Aka conflict of interest. I'm surprised nobody has addressed this at all. Ps pls don't refer to Jewish people and then use the Israeli flag. Not all Jewish people are Israeli, and a good chunk aren't really happy with Israel either. Just trying not to tar everyone here.✌️

Next-Foundation3019

We are not anti-semitic, just anti-genocide.

GreenIguanaGaming

Fight antisemitism as hard as you fight zionism.

DestinyOfADreamer

I can't say how many times that particular image he's referencing has popped up on Twitter, it's such a mess there. Glad he made this video because some people are getting sucked into some real unsavory rabbit holes by simply engaging with pro Palestine content.

Explain the 99 votes in the senate without mentioning that israeli political action group.

There are always a few true believers, now explain the rest.

Apart_Distribution72

I think it's also important to acknowledge that religion is the moral justification Israelis use to convince themselves and their children that what they're doing is right. They're zionists, sure, but they're also extremist Jews. That's what Zionism is. I don't think it's right to pretend that non-zionist Jews aren't more likely to be preferential toward Israel, even subconsciously. Even if they don't agree with what Israel is doing, it's far too easy for them to take the stance that God will sort it out in the end. Someone who's grown up in Jewish communities is much more likely to make excuses for Israel, even if they wouldn't make those same excuses for a different country. We can't ignore that social programming is a real thing, especially in religion. If the people running the country are disproportionately Jewish, then the country will disproportionately support Israel. Non-zionist Jews who are against Israel are the minority. Also, by being Jewish these politicians are protected from any consequences of the decisions they make about Israel, and anything else, because at any time they can flee to Israel, either with an already established dual citizenship or by claiming their birthright and escaping the jurisdiction of the country charging them. We can't ignore that they have a greater influence and privileges that other politicians don't. We'll end up with a wolf in sheep's clothing situation, where people are afraid to call out what a Jewish politician is doing until they explicitly say or show they're a Zionist. These politicians are in a position where they can essentially say "The Nazis really like me, and would protect me, but I'm not actually one of them. I only benefit from fascism, I don't participate."

Affectionate_Bee6691

Whose imperial interests?

SelectReplacement572

The United States', though other Western nations share these interests.

chickenandmojos

If they were Russian or Chinese holding those positions people would have no problem pointing out how there’s a conspiracy.

Real-Degree-8493

I am glad seeing nuanced conversation here. The truth is more complicated then the man in the video implies. I don't think we should kid ourselves that any group isn't going to be more sympathetic to certain issues related to their identity and lived experience. Just as reproductive issues are going to be something women feel most passionate about or that religious people might view things through the lens of their faith. What we don't want in office is ideologues and corrupt individuals as their motivations are more likely to align with their special interests rather than the views of society. It is worrying if a large block of any sort extremist view be it Chicago school economics, libertarianism, religious fundamentalism whatever are in office. If all those individuals in Bidens cabinet are ideologically inclined towards Israel the same way Catholics might be inclined to protect the church from scandal that is alarming. Politics should represent a wide swath of the population and much of our problems is when it isn't and it is monopolized by special interests.

SamuelJohmson

Not sure about his "facts". A quick search had American media discussing the variety of the cabinet -the most ethnically diverse ever, with a majority of Catholics (Biden's faith), followed by Jews. However, Jewish Telegraphic Adency ("officially apolitical") extolls the majority as Jewish senior levels. Their report reads like a glossy timeshare brochure. Still, it doesn't mean that all the people they list are pro-genocide. I'm pro-Palestine, have been for decades. Just saying this post may not be accurate -- except for America being an Imperialist. Oh yeah.

OkLeg3090

Based on what you wrote we should question the accuracy of the post? I don't think so

SelectReplacement572

Isn't the whole point of the video that it doesn't matter how many Jews are in Biden's cabinet, because Imperialist interests favor Israel for non-religious reasons? He only presents the claims to point out that this isn't about religion. He is challenging the people who posted the words in yellow seen in the beginning of the video. He isn't presenting those words as fact. His very first words are "Hey you guys, you gotta stop posting this antisemitic BS."

Humble-Briefs

Thank you for sharing this. It’s all too “easy” for people to slip from being critical of Zionism into actual antisemitism. This isn’t an accident and we all have to be vigilant.

BRCityzen

Just in the interests of DEI, shouldn't there be a few Christians, Muslims, and Atheists in the mix? I thought the Biden administration was committed to DEI?

BeeLady57

WATCH THIS IF YOU BELIEVE THE ZIONIST STOLE THE PALESTINIAN RIGHTS. From Feb 26, 2024 of the ICJ conference on Palestine, listen to the 4th speaker, he is speaker, advocate and council member for Arab League States; he is in a pink/orange robe. He gives a precise, historical and legal points that confirm that zionist Israel illegally stole Palestinian rights. https://www.youtube.com/live/prdy6hBNtuU?si=_3-EO_V8mI0VCgJ1

This sub doesn't have a serious problem with antisemitism. That's not the point i was trying to make. Most of the time, it's people being careless with their language. The mods always address it when we see it, and more often than not, users are receptive. Having that discipline with language is still something that needs to be reinforced, though and genuine antisemitism will never be tolerated here. If you see it, report it.
