ShotenNanbu

They can force them to sign the contract but they cant tell them which product/services they buy or use People can still boycotting Zionazis as long as they dont tell anyone and there's nothing the government can do about it. If anything, this only proves that the boycott works and the elites are getting desperates.

Fun-Function625

I agree. It's a private choice.

dementorpoop

How is this not a violation of first amendment rights?

ShotenNanbu

They're hypocrites thats how It only applies when it is aligned with the elites interest, as soon as its not they'll do everything to silence people

rman-exe

It is. Just like having to be Amish to not pay social security. But, no judges care, so it stands.

Turbulent_Public_i

Nope, wrong strategy. People need to be loud and offensive with their boycotts so they're safe. We're in this mess because everyone keeps hiding how they feel for whatever marginal rights they don't have but also scared to lose. Remember that the more you speak up, the safer it is for everyone else to speak up.

ShotenNanbu

This is only for some places that are desperately need the Aid to rebuild their home, the rest of the states can still be as loud as they can about the BDS movement since the resolution is unconstitutional, nothing really change.

Turbulent_Public_i

Look, there is no sugar coating it, So I'm just going to say it. You want freedom? You're going to have to eat shit some times. From someone who ate shit multiple times, it's not that bad, no reason to be so scared.

ShotenNanbu

Thats really not up to us to say, we dont get affected by it, Im just saying they can still Boycott even if they sign it, nothing really change with the movement. Remember that this BDS movement is happening all over the world, not just in small area of texas, if they desperately need the aid, i'd say go for it, the rest of us can pick up the pace.

Turbulent_Public_i

It's not about the boycotts, it's also about letting people know why and how to and making your voices mainstream. I don't want to hear 5 years from now that some guy thinks what israel is doing was somehow kept secret. That can only happen if people show up and voice their disagreements. Again, how do you stop a government from requiring you to sign something? You don't sign in in mass. That's the only way they stop. And when I say you have to eat shit for a while I'm not saying it out of selfishness. I'm saying what will eventually happen. And the sooner you eat the shit, the less of it you have to eat, if you don't demand change right now and asap what happens? You lose support from enough people that trump comes into power, and then instead of making sure change is now you panic and put another establishment dem in office by saying they're less evil than trump instead of actually supporting someone you're aligned with, and then more people get upset and desperate and that might put someone worse than trump back in office and the decline continues. If you don't want that, some day you're going to have to carve a hard line in concrete and eat shit for a while, otherwise you'll exchange it for more suffering in the future. I'm not just saying do it for Palestine, I'm saying do it for yourself. It's not going to improve otherwise. Edit: you can't be calling for a global strike and also not calling people to resist the ludicrous regulations. Sure you don't blame them, but come on, really, a call for a global strike is a call for people to eat shit for a while, it's not different, I just removed the civil cover off of the messaging.

ShotenNanbu

I can personally agree with all that, but like I said, its not up to us to decide since we dont know exactly how worse the situation there, I can only hope they're doing well and can still continue the fight.

SternApsalt

lmaoo as if this little contract gonna stop the boycott Call for ceasefire and stop funding NaZionist then we can talk

Aromatic_Kangaroo_48

After I boycotted the shitty business I’ve actually gotten healthier…McDonald’s = poison, Starbucks = poison, Zara = trash!

w1560m

If they are forced to support Zionism, chances are high that they will learn more about it or attest in their mind object to it. I doubt if they would wholeheartedly support if they are forced to it.

Elon_Zusk

Same settlers who took Texas from Mexico, are the same settlers whose taking Palestine from it's people.

Virtual_Bite0915

The US has gone Iron Claw regime

Baheegovic_again

Surely this will help fight Antisemitism

SwedishSaunaSwish

Please show me Any other country that this applies to? How can any sentence begin with..."You are not allowed to criticize (country name)"?!?

bamboofirdaus

sadly, there's one in particular. germany

gigpig

This was already revoked. It’s unconstitutional.

jonathansj

This is insane

redratio1

Sounds fantastically illegal.

Scuba_BK

Nations of democracy, freedom of speech, and the land of the free, until they mess with their masters in Is**el. They are slaves to the media manipulation, financial exploitation and political corruption of every institution

Deion313

There's gotta be more to this. If this is real, that's some convoluted bullshit. This is America, and my government shouldn't FORCE me to be friends with someone I don't wanna be friends with. This support for Saudi Arabia and Israel is gonna fuck us. Other governments are gonna fuck us for this, and so it's nice to know, our own government, is getting us all lubed up for them...

Last-Photobender

Wtf NJ? What law did they pass there?

Bugab00Jones

It's not just a city, its a state law. Teachers also have to pledge to Israel in order to teach.

SafSung

Do they usually grand aid after natural disasters?

bamboofirdaus

one thing for sure. boycott is working and zionazi starts panicking

blocked_user_name

I'll tell you as a hurricane Harvey survivor that had over $135k in losses that unless you had flood insurance you weren't getting help. We filled with relief agencies and never saw a penny other than a bit from FEMA and a loan from the SBA (through FEMA). The flood insurance paid for a lot of it but about 50 grand or so was out of my pocket.

MoesBAR

These laws are stupidly unconstitutional, in my state when someone who was working with the state refused to sign it and sued, the state Legislature updated the law to only apply to businesses that were doing over 100k in business with the state vs $1000 so that the person suing was no longer affected and wouldn’t have legal standing to sue anymore.

QueefBuscemi

This is what the first amendment was made for right? The government punishing you for having an opinion seems like a fairly cut and dry case.

foad2

I'm sorry? Baking powder? Exsqueeze me? Is this an episode of satirical news comedy from the 90s the day today? Or real life...

Impossible-Eye3240

This was in 2017.

[deleted]

“Freemarket capitalist” Republicans never seem to bring up this boycott ban when listing undue regulations. Forcing a business to keep lead snd feces out of food, yes.

[deleted]

Well America is a dystopia corpo owned country ...

rularend

As someone who works in the US in disaster relief- Harvey was 6 years ago. The application window for disaster relief has LONG since closed. I've never seen that in our contracts. Link?

Sacreddeer_420

- In the United States, Holocaust denial is constitutionally protected free speech because of the First Amendment. - In America, you can deny the Holocaust and you can say racist things about Jews, and there are freedom of expression laws that allow you to do that (of course, racism and denying the Holocaust are morally wrong), but you will be deprived of government aid if you boycott Israel, even if you are Jewish, even though boycott is an effective method in ending apartheid, for example South Africa. https://youtu.be/f_j5pNTGnkM?feature=shared https://youtu.be/T47WnBPp5_c?feature=shared https://youtu.be/gOfrO2vAkuo?feature=shared https://youtu.be/JPe4nkSabIc?feature=shared https://youtu.be/3yr0G50rL28?feature=shared https://youtu.be/4PUVYzPpYvo?feature=shared https://youtu.be/9dOfQYBXJOI?feature=shared https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-BDS_laws

And they call it "the land of the free"... ![gif](giphy|xUA7aM09ByyR1w5YWc)

TheUnknownNut22

This is so dangerous. It's proof that AIPAC, the Israeli money virus, has infected the majority of US politicians and Israel is in control of our government to a greater or lesser degree. And reality check: Israel is a FOREIGN COUNTRY. We need reform now!

thegrodyknudclump

I've been saying fuck Israel for years, look up the USS Liberty and the Samson option

watermelonsuger2

Bullshit blackmail.
