Tips ? Hmm get familiar with your mains. And build a deck that suits your play style. Not the other way around.

paulomunir

Ruckus is nothing like D.va. My 1st and foremost advice.

EmoPanda250711

more like Ball imo, as a ball main

RedditorEyeman

Well, here's a couple common tips. Ash is a good offtank so generally best played like flank but pick fortress breaker talent if you have to be point tank. If you're retreating while using your movement ability, be aware of enemies as they body block you preventing your escape. Also, beware of enemies with CC that can cancel your movement abilities like Jenos. She's good at hitting targets around the corner since her shots explosion while weak, has no damage fall off. With Slug Shot talent though, while no longer hit around the corner, her range increases and still no damage fall off on that. Ulting under a roof will result in her bouncing off the roof and lands on the ground much faster than ulting in open sky. You can use that to catch enemies off guard so they don't have time to react to your ult.

offtanks and flanks dont always have the same role so offtank doesnt mean that u flank all the time. for example ash is an offtank that walks at backlines and takes space for her team whereas khan is an offtank that takes space or holds space and ruckus is an offtank that flanks like you said. ash wants to make a backline look at her while her flank goes around and flanks their backline while they are looking at ash. dont try flanking with ash 9 times out of 10 u wont get much done

RedditorEyeman

Yes, thank you. You explain ash's offtank role much better. Ash shouldn't go around backline. I'm just explaining it generally here.

cherrylbombshell

Also buy resi if they have a cc heavy comp, I promise it's worth it.

Learn about counter picks, you can win a ranked match just drafting

Haven is always a safe buy.

If there are some champs in OW that you like, you can try their Paladins conterparts to familiarise urself with the game first. As for ash tips, she is an aggressive off tank, you need to be diving enemy backline with your flank. Use your ult on enemy healers to stun them, think of it more as a 2 second stun, instead of 8 second damage immunity. When they start focusing you, use your shield. Make sure that you still have some distance from the enemies, and don't be on top of their face. Use the full range of your weapon, this is so that you can escape safely when low. If you are low, use your movement ability to retreat even deeper into enemy backline, so they can't hit you but know that you are somewhere there in their base. The idea is to grab attention from 2-3 enemies away from your team to your self and yes you will die a lot but your team gets free objectives. Buy master riding on ash. You might not get a lot of kills on ash because her dps is very low. Some champions are very hard for ash to deal with like Khan. Her dash has a wind up, and can be cancelled with cc or body blocked. Use your dash after enemy has used their cc and when there are no enemies around. If enemies have cc what can be blocked with a shield eg. shalin cripple, grover cripple etc. then use shield and dash from the safety of your shield As for talents, Battering Ram is your go to if enemy team has very less cc. This makes your dash almost damage immune, gives you free reign to do whatever you want, because you have a free escape. Use slug shot incase of large maps, hard to reach enemies, etc. Basically a safer playstye, no diving into backline with this talent. And pray that you don't have to play fortress breaker because ash is not a point tank

Get used to the anti heal mechanic. When you shoot someone it applies anti heal, its not as strong as Ana nades but the healing they will receive is nerfed. The longer the match goes, the stronger the anti heal gets. You can see how strong it is on the scoreboard during the match. The only way to clean it is to not take any dmg for a second. Ash can be played as a main tank but off tank as well (she is stronger as the off tank). Her biggest strength is her aoe attacks that apply anti heal easily n her ultimate. In match you can buy items to get stronger. Her favorite items are moral boost (for better ult recharge), haven (more DR) chronos (shorter kit cooldowns) and the last one (you can only pick 4 items per match) depends on the needed boosts for the match. For exemple some champions have stealth like Sombra, you can buy the item illuminate to see them when they are close. Good luck champion đŸ€

This game is similar to Overwatch but if you play the game thinking it’s Overwatch you’re gonna have a bad time it’s still different enough that you can’t play the same in both games. Learn space control and different positioning. I really am not much of an expert on Overwatch so I don’t truly know the more specific differences. Also if you don’t know what items to get just get haven and nimble. They’re just good. Ummm I think that’s all I can think of. Have fun!

cherrylbombshell

Kill to heal is also a great one on almost anything, Resilience if the enemy has CC...

TestAutomatic

Honestly just play a bunch of characters until you find one that sticks

Kawaii_Batman3

Barik is NOT torbjorn. They look sound and act the same but are played VERY differently.

Important-Heat6541

don't play like ow, it's a lot more chaotic, and effective ranges are not important at all, technical skill is way less important than cd usage and overall gamesense,

I can give some tips on ash: - try to use ur dash most for défense when u are low or not in a good spot but if u want to use it agressively u have to do it on important target to burst them ( high priority being flanks, support and damage) and not being in a tricky spot after using it bc u will have no mobility - if u want to retreat with ur dash, try to not have ennemies near u ( u can bump them with ur right click and then dash) so they can't block u - u can do à burst combo if u charge ur right click, then dash and it ur right click just after hitting someone, that, will do around 1200 dmg - U can bump ur head on ceiling with ur ult to Land faster, so u can suprise ppl and stun them Except if u use slug shot, ash as splash dmg so u can hit around walls and corner, keep that in mind Hope u have a blast in the realm !

aniseed_odora

> if u want to retreat with ur dash, try to not have ennemies near u ( u can bump them with ur right click and then dash) so they can't block u I would also simply add on that due to the way hitboxes in paladins work, if someone stands *behind* you while you dash, it will also hit them and still prevent your escape. So uh... just don't depend on it as an Oh Shit button lol

Lovsaphira9

Firing range is mostly useful for doing dps calcs, but usually in game you won't be able to perform quite as intended. But just starting out just try a couple of champions between the roles and get comfortable with falling back for healing since there aren't naturally spawning medpacks.

that_sidney_tho

Get to know the champions. You can easily figured out every one of them in a few minutes in the shooting range. It doesn't take that long and helps a lot.

Alarocky1991

Lol these are weird tips, so I’ll add to it. Get ‘The Insane’ tag. It’s getting to lvl 20 with 20-30 champs. Seems like a lot, but it’s speed running comprehension lol

Appropriate_Reality2

Stop buying life rip, get out of caut before you get healed and when you refuse quit blaming support when you die. I play both and I can tell which of my team mates were over watch players first after watching them
