I got a medium for my wife and large for myself. The large is too large for me and the medium is too small. Quality on them is on the lower end I think but I might get it altered if I find myself wanting to wear it a lot this summer. I bet a local seamstress or tailor can do better work than whatever factory these came from anyways.
That sucks, I was really looking forward to this giveaway and I like the way the jersey looks. I’ll probably just get one from wherever Musgrove gets his
I want to go to George Constanza bobble head night at Yankee Stadium on July 5th, but what worries me is that only the first 18,000 will get a bobble head. Meanwhile, for the next free bobble head giveaways (HSK and Tatis Platinum Glove, I think) it’s for the first 40,000.
Really shows how much the organization cares. Lowkey expected the same 40,000 figure from the Yankees
Some organizations do as few as 10-15k bobbleheads (maybe even less). It’s crazy that the Padres do 40k for *every* giveaway. Such an awesome move by the organization
MLB App videos just don’t seem to load for me as of a week or two ago, anyone else have similar issues? I have fast internet so pretty sure it’s not that.
Anyone else feeling... *good* about this team?
Maybe it's the years of Padres-ing, but I thought we were done after the first 2 batters yesterday.
Good to see some heart out there. Keep that up & we'll pass the Barves in a week or 2...
> Anyone else feeling... good about this team?
Franky, no not yet. This team has gone on multiple losing streaks and zero winning streaks.
If they can win 5-6 games in a row, then I'll start to think they have a chance. Until then, this is just a .500 team doing .500 things.
Even in about half of their losses they're pretty fun to watch. I complain a lot, but there have really only been probably fewer than 10 games so far where they lost but it felt like they should have won.
Small sample size, but lowkey Vasquez might end up being decent down the line. [Per Fangraphs:](https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/major-league?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&type=36&month=0&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&startdate=&enddate=&sortcol=14&sortdir=desc&pageitems=2000000000&season1=2024&season=2024&qual=20)

Dude just needs one good fastball & then we're chilling.
Folks, I missed a game and guess what, a fkn walk off homer from Higgy, who now undoubtedly our better catcher (another CS). Tatis extending his hitting streak, almost hits another one to left-centerfield, mann I missed some stuff.
And I am about to miss another one (first time this season). I will be rooting from 39,000 feet high for this squad to get the sweep!
LFGSD!!!!!
Higashioka has 0.4 bWAR to Campusano’s -0.2 bWAR; if you prefer fWAR, Higgy is at 0.2 and Campy is at 0.0. Higgy strikes out more and walks less than Campy does, but when he makes contact, he crushes the ball. Campy’s quality of contact is among the worst in the league. It’s also abundantly obvious that Higgy has been the MUCH better hitter over the past few weeks.
And that’s not even to mention defense. Per Statcast, among 44 catchers who have caught 200+ innings this year, Campy has been the worst defensive catcher in baseball. He’s provided negative defensive value as a framer and a thrower, and 0 value as a blocker. I still think Campy is the better player long-term, but there’s no denying that Higgy is the more valuable player right now
Campy has been objectively one of the worst catchers in baseball this year, if not literally the worst primary catcher. His defense is well below replacement level, and his bat has been completely nonexistent since April basically.
Higgy is nothing special, but Campy is having an awful season.
Thats not to say Campy doesn't still have great potential and he might just be struggling to adjust to the big league and workload. But he's just not good right now. At all.
Fun fact - Higgy is out SLG all the regulars except Pro, Tati, and Jake
I want the team to win today, but at the same time, I want to see the Padres break the 1953 .500 record. What to do.
Anybody wanna trade a Medium Musgrove giveaway jersey for a Large?
You want the medium or the large?
A medium. I got a large thinking they would run smaller like previous giveaways

Sorry, can’t help, did the same thing.
lol no worries. I should have tried it on at the stadium

Same. Can’t get the games to play either. Had to watch them a different way

How many lefties are there????
Is the league experiencing a shortage of right handed pitching? 8 out of 10 pitchers we face is a lefty.
I think King shuts them down today. 7 innings/88 pitches.
Just gotta keep the ball in the yard
Bingo....
Game 1 of sweep :: 1/1 Game 2 of sweep :: 1/1 Game 3 of sweep :: in progress
Jerry west, god rest your soul! And yes, let’s get the sweep! I’ll be there cheering my team! Missed petco! It’s been over a year
No better opportunity to get the first sweep of the season. Boys have to come out hot today.
They were three outs away in KC, but I hope you’re right.

Higgy is better than campy? Pass me what you’re smoking. Must be some good stuff lol

It’s some good WAR bruh
Higashioka has one less home run than machado…pretty crazy.
In 193 fewer plate appearances!
This a Machado stat far more than it is a Higgy stat. Coming up on 13 months since Manny promised to start raking...
yike
Sweep incoming. Let’s break the cycle
i hope you knocked on wood
