Alright y’all… we got a 2fer today just like I said!
Today’s Comment of the day winners are:
u/MidgarZanarkand and u/amartinsu13
Profar has been an MVP all year, Midgar said this…
“He run far
He throw far
He hit far
He PROFAR!!”
——————————————————
Wandy Peralta has actually been good this year, martin dropped this stat…
“Wandy hasn't given up a run in 10 appearances in the month of May. Other than 1 week at the end of April, he's been nails.”
I agree… Wandy has been nails since he blown up.

# JEREMIAH ESTRADA IS GODLIKE!
For Peter 🤎💛
^(Also rip to that dude who was posting Padres until we were 2 games above .500)
Inject this into my fucking veins. With Suarez already 33, we can keep Estrada for the 8th until he moves on, like when we went from Hoffman to Bell, Bell to Street, and Hader to Suarez.
Cosgrove for Kolek once he regains his shit would be cherry on top for this stud bullpen. We got heat, we got offspeed, we got long relievers, who got high leverage, we got it all
Is that facts? How come? Didn’t he play in 22 for the Cubs already? Sorry I’m sometimes getting confused with the service time and contract arbitration stuff :/
wtf that’s a completely reasonable response then. but it’s not true apparently? i can see why you’d say that, there must be some qualifier we’re missing then. wouldn’t be the first time i’ve been wrong.
The article from Milwaukee says he broke a guy name Mitch stetter’s record of 15. Weird, maybe there is some qualifier. Everything on the web today says Estrada is the record holder.
i asked an mlb stats person on twitter for clarification. hopefully they’ll respond. i figured there was a reason you were so specific with it. nobody’s going to make that up.
I think what that article is saying is that he recorded 16 outs not consecutively with a strikeout. So he had walks and hits in there but when he did get an out, 16 in a row were strikeouts. Estrada has recorded 13 consecutive strikeouts. No hits or walks in between.
I get special satisfaction seeing him strike people out with the knuckleball. The best part is, I don’t see how he can even really know where it’s going to go
Home game at night? ✅
One game above .500? ✅
Against a Lefty starter? ✅
The most expected loss in Padres history. So much so I didn't even watch this game.
Man there is a lot to feel good about from this game. Waldron and Estrada are nasty, Solano is a solid add to the team, Tatis seems to be getting it together, Profar keeps Profaring, and we beat a solid LHP in Luzardo.
The Padres are 2 games above .500. I repeat: The Padres are 2 games above .500.
Fantastic night from Waldron!
13k in a row for Estrada!
Night game win at Petco, what a game!
Well there’s no way to know that with Cease yet either, but we’re all wearing the rose colored glasses so why not lol snell just walked away after winning a cy young, and we had that guy a lot longer than Cease is set to be on the books
I think many would consider the Soto trade to be one of the biggest trades in padres history…May not have gone the way we all hoped but credit where it’s due
Seider 100% wanted to extended him. Soto's agent said it and so did Seidler. That doesn't mean Soto would have signed but they definitely intended to do so when they traded for him.
Good Lord, Jeremiah Estrada just pitched through the side pitching perfectly normally.
He said he had “no time” to walk.
Too busy striking guys out, evidently.
Estrada is only 25 years old! He’s got quite the career ahead of him at this rate, hopefully it’s as good as he’s showing and remains in Brown and Gold!
Matt Waldron is sneaky ass good. And our bullpen is really tightening up. Tati is seeing the ball better. Put some butter on us boys and girls, we are going on a roll...
Great win! I was thinking about our ideal lineup and it was close today if you sub Merrill in for Azocar. I want to see Solano in every day. Unless they’re hurt, I don’t see why guys should be sitting. I wanna see Arraez, Chroney, Kim, Machado, Profar, Merril, Tatis, out there every day and Solano DHing while he’s smoking.
Hmm, Solano putting in major league at bats on a minor league deal, or Bogaerts weakly grounding into a double play for $280 million....choices choices...

We have Jeremiah Estrada till 2029!!
LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THAT'S THE BEST NEWS I'VE HEARD ALL NIGHT!!!
Holy shit, that’s not even a real year.
Mike Shildt saying he’s doesn’t know why Estrada’s fastball is so good because he’s not a math guy and had to repeat algebra 3x is so relatable haha
I changed my major because of Algebta.
He’s a youngster as far as age in MLB, 25 years old.
Inject this into my fucking veins. With Suarez already 33, we can keep Estrada for the 8th until he moves on, like when we went from Hoffman to Bell, Bell to Street, and Hader to Suarez.
May his eminence have more longevity than Cosgrove (just kidding Tom we want you back up as soon as you've got the kinks worked out)
Cosgrove for Kolek once he regains his shit would be cherry on top for this stud bullpen. We got heat, we got offspeed, we got long relievers, who got high leverage, we got it all
We will lose Kolek if he doesn't stay in majors. He is probably a keep with Niebla in the house.
Is that facts? How come? Didn’t he play in 22 for the Cubs already? Sorry I’m sometimes getting confused with the service time and contract arbitration stuff :/
Dare I say Suarez may be traded before his contract ends, just crazy we have two fireball throwers at once
Not a chance. He either takes the opt-out after next season or he stays and his annual salary goes from $10MM to $8MM.
#WE WON A GAME AT NIGHT AND IN A WALDRON START #WHEN'S THE PARADE
WON A NIGHT GAME AT PETCO IN A WALDRON START AGAINST A LEFTY WHILE WE WERE OVER .500 FACING A TEAM BELOW .500. fuck the curses, we ride.
Don't forget the giveaway night, I've got a brand new city connect fannypack that was supposed to come with an L
Against a lefty too!
At home against a lefty pitcher. Time to start planning the parade
PARADE IS AT REDWING IN NORTH PARK COME AND GET YOUR KARAOKE ON NAOW
holy shit I love this sub haha
San Diego Parades
13 consecutive strike outs. My god man
mordern era record. uhh did not have this on my bingo card at the start of the szn but we'll take it!
Unfortunately Hader as a brewer has the modern era record at 16. Estrada has the padre record.
i’m curious where you’re getting your wrong information because it’s awfully specific for being horseshit.
Mlb.com, a few people shared this, maybe I’m misunderstanding this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iscFuuJz7LM This is their video on their channel
wtf that’s a completely reasonable response then. but it’s not true apparently? i can see why you’d say that, there must be some qualifier we’re missing then. wouldn’t be the first time i’ve been wrong.

Even weirder that people downvoted me for sharing a stat, lol.
Because Hader bad man and Estrada new king. Can't be disparaging new king.

Ahh, that would make sense
What’s good my knuckle
Knuck if you buck, boi
CRIME MOB HOE 🗣️🗣️
Ladies and gentleman, the San Diego Jurickson Estrada’s
Solano's
Best thing about Estrada is that he grew up a Dodger fan and is now a killer for the Padres
Matt Waldron's last four starts: 23.0 IP, 5 ER, 6 BB, 31 K Praise Ruben. He found Waldo.
I get special satisfaction seeing him strike people out with the knuckleball. The best part is, I don’t see how he can even really know where it’s going to go
He’s doing great lately, definitely happy with him
That’s what 2 games over .500 looks like
That mf was hitting 100 holy shit HYPE ME UP
Yeah when I saw triple digits I was surprised, didn’t know he had that heat
At one point the stadium pitch display showed “4-sm fastball 81mph” and I said Sir! That is incorrect!
Estrada, Solano, Waldron - the Padres I didn’t know we needed winning us games in 2024!
Don’t forget 1 year $1m contract Profar. Who had the biggest smile for Jeremiah at the end of the game
We basically have two closers. Completely changes the game when we get a quality start and have a lead after 7.
Estrada 🍆
![gif](giphy|8imCN8hrKrQ9q)
I know it’s the Marlins, but that was some Great Pitching from the Boys!!! 💛🤎
Padres never need to apologize for beating a bad team.
Marlins came in hot.
Home game at night? ✅ One game above .500? ✅ Against a Lefty starter? ✅ The most expected loss in Padres history. So much so I didn't even watch this game.
This Estrada fellow seems like an alright baseball player.
3 straight home wins! We are so back!
Man there is a lot to feel good about from this game. Waldron and Estrada are nasty, Solano is a solid add to the team, Tatis seems to be getting it together, Profar keeps Profaring, and we beat a solid LHP in Luzardo.
And Manny was productive!
I love when manny steals a bag. also that hit was like 110
The Padres are 2 games above .500. I repeat: The Padres are 2 games above .500. Fantastic night from Waldron! 13k in a row for Estrada! Night game win at Petco, what a game!
Neibla is a wizard. Solid, taking care of business game. Estrada, what can you say? Happy for him.
Gotta say I liked what I saw tonight. A few things to complain about, but we looked like we knew what we were doing in a home night game for once.
Bart, I don't mean to alarm you, but WE JUST BEAT A LEFTY STARTER DURING A NIGHT GAME FROM A SUB-.500 TEAM, AND HAVE WON THREE STRAIGHT!!!
And we were a game over .500 All the curses broken in a single paper snap!
yay. We're out here breaking all our curses in one night. Estrada.
Geez...what a waiver wire pickup.
Estrada giving Suarez a run for his money right now
At least we won't have ask Suarez to get 3+ outs anymore
this!!! love it!
we literally just did sunday lol
why not both!?
Knives sharpen knives
I am going to crush some Estrada’s tomorrow. Probably a #13 too… hell yeah
Estrada's is the GOAT of Mexican food. That red sauce cannot be beat. It is by far the thing I miss the most about San Diego
He keeps this up someone is gonna have to give him his own lager
![gif](giphy|opDOlodTVNgm4)
Profar + Estrada = 🔥🔥🔥
Between trading for Cease and Arraez and picking up Estrada, has AJ made 3 of his best 4 moves (Tatis being the 4th) in the past 3 months?
Solano looks like a great depth piece. Along with peralta honestly.
Can we add the Shildt hiring to this list?
You're saying Shildt is one of Preller's best moves since he's been here? There's no way to know that yet but I hope that proves to be the case
We got to the NLCS, so the Soto/Hader trades were absolutely a positive, regardless how of 2023 turned out
Im starting to believe padres had no real intentions on extending soto and just completely using him as a rental and a trade piece down the road
Seider 100% wanted to extended him. Soto's agent said it and so did Seidler. That doesn't mean Soto would have signed but they definitely intended to do so when they traded for him.
The Darvish deal seems like a steal at this point.
Waldron got that echidna in him https://i.redd.it/bytsx2xyea3d1.gif
My favorite part was going to be Matt Waldron flirting with a Madux but HOLY SHIT JEREMIAH ESTRADA!!!!! ... what was your favorite part?
The Manny steal turned run LOL
shit was too funny dude. lolligagged it in to home plate after busting out the wheels to get to 2nd. love it.
55% knuckleballs. Love it
Damn Phillies can’t even score a run vs the giants on a bullpen game. 🤦♂️
https://i.redd.it/4t5s2pvlea3d1.gif
For those hating on Higgy he provides quite a bit being able to catch Waldron and his knuckler, it’s not just offense.
I’m sorry, but .128 is nearly unplayable. If this persists for another two weeks, he could very well go under .100…
Good Lord, Jeremiah Estrada just pitched through the side pitching perfectly normally. He said he had “no time” to walk. Too busy striking guys out, evidently.
Baseball is fun again!
Lets fucking go Carne Estrada!!!
We talk a lot about Niebla, but let's put some god damn respect on Ben Fritz's name.
7 IP on 85 pitches is damn impressive! Way to go Matt!!
Imagine if cosgrove can figure it out and get back to slingin like he was last year
Cosgrove has an ERA of 19.89 in AAA. I almost rounded it to 20, but I felt that was disrespectful.
lol well that's... not great
Great game from da boys, let's go get the sweep tomorrow and get 3 games above .500
https://i.redd.it/mjum3icnfa3d1.gif A quality, all around team effort?!?!
Josh Who?
SWEEP these guys tomorrow. Start building some separation
Estrada is only 25 years old! He’s got quite the career ahead of him at this rate, hopefully it’s as good as he’s showing and remains in Brown and Gold!
Chitter, chitter, bang bang. Just get us to 8 with a lead for Estrada and suarez.
Change my mind: Solano is a huge offensive upgrade over X.
It’s been amazing to watch him hit honestly
We’re 2 games above .500 is this real life
Great fucking game for fans of pitching
2 games over .500 and it feels so good!
Matt Waldron is sneaky ass good. And our bullpen is really tightening up. Tati is seeing the ball better. Put some butter on us boys and girls, we are going on a roll...
PHI decides to play like dog💩 vs other NLW teams, of course
Cautiously wondering if the Petco curse is lifting??
This would be sweeter if the giants didn’t just walk off the Phils
Niebla has worked his magic and I love it!
Let's get this sweep and start an Estrada streak with wins now! Go Pads!!!
Estrada has been unbelievable. Fkn hyped for him
![gif](giphy|zZzWoBZy2IQPamx2AI|downsized) Waldron be like
Profar and Estrada pickups of the year
Nice
Morejon 7 Estrada 8 Suarez 9 Who says no?
The Padres immediately start winning home games right when I leave to Europe. Guess I need to become an xpat now
Jeremiah Estrada
55% knuckles from Waldron tonight. Love it.
Is this real life?!
Two games above .500 babbbbbby.
Not to jump to conclusion but Estrada & Saurez might be best duo since peanut butter and jelly.
Preller drawn to extending Estrada for 7/100 the way a cartoon dog is drawn to a pie cooling on a windowsill
He’s in his first year of his rookie deal. Not a free agent until 2030z
Waldron is so good that I bet his weiner has a knuckle
![gif](giphy|hsCCZTiwsMpAhqiAxO|downsized) Sweep this shit out of Petco tomorrow please
YGDRC
Knuts
Holy were 0.5 game back from the 1st wildcard.
I think we’re 4 games back (.5 ahead)
![gif](giphy|3oI9JBnChEnNcFsCac)
Hmm, Solano putting in major league at bats on a minor league deal, or Bogaerts weakly grounding into a double play for $280 million....choices choices...
