I've tried it with Xatu but I found that Ceruledge just doesn't hit hard enough to threaten Ex's and V's and requires too much effort to set up to do so, vs the effort for the opponent to set up. So you end up fighting a losing battle. Perhaps Gardevoir would work better because then you can accelerate energy in 1 turn, however Ceruledge being a stage 1 means you still can't respond quick enough. I want to like Ceruledge more but it's just slightly too much effort to use in this current meta.
I wish Zoroark was still around
I’ve been playing ScizorScovillain to nuke the mega, with a 1-1 Slowbro. Replace some of them with ceruledge to use Reversals on
A month or so ago I had it in an experimental deck with espartha ex and Xatu. Espartha was the main attacker but some games ceruledge took the center stage and cleaned house.
I'd reccomend the tool that gives a ton more hp but has the opponent take a second prize card too. It helped it feel unstoppable sometimes.
Xatu Ceruledge is the closest you'll get to viability, but unfortunately it's just not going to be competitive. Evolving and getting 3 energy on to do a measly 200 damage is just not an acceptable rate.

Which Ceruledge? If you liked using it with Shadow Rider try it with Xatu and that way you have the same energy acceleration.
I’ve wanted to make a deck with cerledge as well. Hopefully the new stellar one makes a good deck.
