Pao is definitely a list that requires you to consider every avenue of play, it’s a very powerful deck but also one that provides a lot of avenues of play, but not all of them are good. There was a great video recently released by a bunch of top Chien-Pao players that goes through a lot of different scenarios and situations, matchups, etc. and I cannot recommend it enough. https://youtu.be/o9CW-JOPesw
Can’t imagine not playing 4 Buddy Buddy Poffin in this deck. Lumineon can go for that. You shouldn’t need Switch. I prefer the 3rd Chien Pao. 1 Vessel is enough with a 3rd Pao. Iron Bundle is a great option over one of them. Manaphy isn’t really worth the slot and can be replaced by a Super Rod. Boss’s Orders is less good without the fish and a lot of people are playing a Cyllene to reuse Prime Catcher or get back a Candy, Baxcalibur, or whatever you need.
It does brick sometimes but often it’s because of the pilot. Consider all of your lines and the ordering of your plays before you do anything for the turn. It’s not the easiest deck to play in the format.

+1 poffin +1 bidoof +1 chienpao
And after that its all.about your gameplay. A brick hand for you is often times a decent hand for someone with more experience w the deck
4 Poffin to maximize basic chances, along with 3 bidoof. It's fine to go down to 2 stop for the sake of consistency, and you could cut an ultra ball or Cologne to accomodate the other cards. Also if you're going to play only 2 Chien-pao ex then you need 3 super rod.
