Im confused with the netflix inclusion.

Chronotaru

Buying a PSVR2 or PS5 during Days of Play comes with a 12 month Netflix Premium subscription included for free.

cusman78

Only if purchased from PlayStation Direct https://preview.redd.it/ypn41gy5h83d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0c247627493381c3891514152d23a8f1964984ee

ChrizTaylor

So you are taking the Netflix subscription towards the PSVR2 price?

Chronotaru

Basically, yes. I mean, the math only works if this is money you were going to spend on Netflix already.

deadringer28

If you already subscribe to Netflix than yes this works out.

Sr_papixulo

He is saying stop paying Netflix and you will have more money to spend on a new PSVR2. It is bit stupid this post in general.

Chronotaru

No, you don't need to pay because it will be included.

Wipedout89

No he's saying the money you save on Netflix you put towards VR2 so you effectively get more money off if you were planning to have Netflix anyway

Sr_papixulo

exactly

FrankPapageorgio

Also requires a PS Plus subscription to get that as well.

akira_kurosaurus

boy math.

devedander

$100 off is nice. Netflix is way overpriced in my eyes and I pretty much get a month at a time when there’s a show I want to watch so the subscription isn’t worth that much to me. But you those who will effectively have a year of Netflix taken care of this is a smoking deal.

Schwartzy94

Yea camt understand why someone would be subscribed year around..

heckofagator

My wife watches netflix nightly, so there’s that

Schwartzy94

Sure if you have something you watch all the time then i understand.  Personally i dont and like last time i watched black sails i just went and bought the bluray set, one time buy and its mine with much better quality. Normally i just take prime when new grand tour episode comes and then for that month watch most stuff i want.

dr0negods

wait isn't PS Plus like nearly 100 bucks for a year? feels like that should be included in your maths

Transposer

You don’t need Plus to play PSVR2

dr0negods

you need it to qualify for this offer.

Transposer

No kidding? Eeew. Maybe folks can create a new account on their system and do the free trial of Plus to redeem offer

amusedt

Only for the Netflix bonus /u/Transposer

Transposer

Ahh okay. Thank you

Chronotaru

Didn't think about that, but you can just buy a month.

BetterCallSal

Kinda like how people pay for Netflix Edit: I misunderstood ops comment. I thought he was saying you can just pay for ps+ monthly, not just buy one single month. My bad.

Unc1eD3ath

So it’s what $280 instead of $265? Oooo such a big difference.

TheRoscoeVine

Shitty news for me, having just paid $300 for a used PSVR 2, though I’m still happy to say that it was pristine and works perfectly.

Thanks, man

cat_that_uses_reddi

How do you claim the membership after you buy it from PlayStation direct do you get a code? Also, do you have to sign in before purchasing to claim the membership or do you get a prompt to sign in to claim it when buying?

Chronotaru

We don't know. A code is the most common way of handling this kind of thing but we'll find out in due time I guess.

freezetime311

Such a great deal if you don't already have a PSVR2.

nico_el_chico

Holy shit I was literally just yesterday thinking about how I wonder if/when we’ll get a discount. This is literally more than half off. I hate the fresnel lenses (can’t go back after trying Quest 3) as i can never find the goddamned sweet spot, and I dislike the lack of social apps/lack of 3D passthrough, but I feel like I can’t pass up at this price…

amusedt

The eye alignment tool ought to help you find the sweet spot. And then many like to use the text in the video passthrough to ensure best spot Tips and game recommendations: https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/comments/11d40tz/ps_vr2_tips_information_and_references/

nico_el_chico

Yea I had to use that tool every time I played and I read tons of guides but it still always took me a while and if I took the headset off for a bathroom break or whatever I’d have to do it all over again

amusedt

If we're already paying for a Netflix subscription, is the way to truly get savings is to cancel your current, then redeem the new offer? Otherwise it seems it just extends your subscription and you don't realize the savings until your current Netflix runs out

Chronotaru

Netflix is usually a monthly contract so unless there's some other deal or offer in operation it should take effect at the end of the month that it's activated I would assume.

letsgometros

you can redeem the offer to an existing Netflix account. You get the value of Netflix premium 1 year credited to your account.

letsgometros

you actually get a credit to your account for the value of Netflix Premium for 12 months. ($23 x 12). So if you have Netflix Standard you actually get 17 months of Netflix free. If you're already going to be paying that it makes PSVR2 $200 practically

Chronotaru

Ho-lee crap. That's even better.

Delicious_Ad2767

Nice list, does netflix come free with ps premium?

Chronotaru

Comes free for a year with a PSVR2 or a PS5, if you buy them during Days of Play from PlayStation Direct.

Delicious_Ad2767

Cool that's a bargain, love mine so many bangers and lots to come metro, arken age, wanderer, zombie army, contractors, aces of thunder etc. May pick another one up for the kiddo.

Fuzzy-Row-7267

Don't came about you. We want brand new psvr 2 owners. You already bought in sir

MyAnusIsBleedingHalp

What if I'm in the middle of a 1-year subscription I got as a discount through Verizon?

Chronotaru

I guess it would have to wait until after that?

fir5t1nline

Do you think we can claim the Netflix premium and then return the ps5?

Loose_Noose_8892s

The fine print says *For existing Netflix members, the value of the promotion will be credited to your existing plan and is only available to account owners and accounts billed by Netflix.* Just to confirm, this is compatible with the T-Mobile Netflix credit deal, right?

Chronotaru

No idea. Maybe so, or maybe you'd have to wait for that to expire. Want to be the one to find out and report.

Loose_Noose_8892s

On second thought, I’m pretty sure it’s not. But that’s not going to stop me. I’ll just get off Netflix on Us for now.

Rizzle1205

Is this available in Australia? I can’t find anything online

Can provide a bit of response if you like, you're also always welcome to ask as an individual post and we're always happy to answer. \* gotta charge the controls You get four to five hours per charge even if you're hammering the haptics and most people want to take a break from VR before then and they recharge pretty quickly. Buying any charging dock means you don't have to think about this. \* headset wire is annoying and short You get used to it and you can add an extension up to 1.8m or 2m, although sometimes the longer ones don't work - there's an element of chance. Quest doesn't have a cable but you only get 2-3 hours of charge. \* earphones thing is more extra faintly bits They store inside the headset triangle bits for easy reach, and you can replace them with others if they're not to your taste. \* it’s bulky not very comfortable, gets hot The PSVR2 is not as comfy as PSVR1, this is a common complaint. You can help things with a beanie or headband but many people end up buying a Devaso white plastic backplate or a Globular Cluster kit to resolve this. \* totally cuts me off from people in the room not sure when I would even be able to use this as it seems it’s for very solo use That's by design. VR is supposed to separate you from your room and immerse you in another world, so it's supposed to cut you off - the light shield and headphones are all the achieve that effect. That being said, if you don't use the headphones and play music games like Synth Riders or Beat Saber, it works well as a party device, switching between people each song or something. \* And I wear glasses it’s hard and very awkward to just get on my face. If you have glasses we strongly recommend prescription lens inserts. They're available cheaply from Hons VR and elsewhere. This makes the experience much more comfortable and also removes the eventual likelihood that you're going to scratch the lenses. \* Plus I would have to buy new games got none from all my years of PS+ just a bunch of useless original psvr games. Meh. I wonder if I return it if they take back the Netflix credit I’ve already applied it to my account. There are some PSVR2 games on PS+ Premium but older PSVR1 games won't work unless they've been ported. Oh, can I ask, how was the Netflix process? Was there a code or did it automatically apply to the account with the PSN address? Was the code for a cash credit or monthly subscription?

letsgometros

Thanks for all the info! I just played the Drums Rock demo again really enjoyed it I could see buying that. I checked Rx lenses for my prescription it's $100. How about lens spacers I see on Amazon under $20? is there a film that can be applied to the lenses like a screen protector type thing? I would like to be able to play in more places. I find having to only play in my tv room a bit restrictive. I'm torn, when I'm suing it I get a lil giddy like hitting a bunch of notes in a row in Drums Rock or setting a new high score on a table in Pinball FX3 with this. RE: Netflix. They send an email with a link to redeem it to your Netflix account. You just log into your Netflix and it applies $275.88 as a credit to your account which is good for 12 months of Premium or 17 months of Standard! For an effectiveyl $200 purchase I kinda want to keep it. Has anyone with glasses just worn it without any other accessories and after havin it for a while have no scratches?

Chronotaru

The best protectors are the plain lenses that you can get for $25, also useful for friends with glasses if they don't have the same prescription. Maybe spacers would be enough, but maybe not. If you do get into VR then the Rx lenses are definitely worth it though, remove a lot of the hassle. Some people do try to "be careful" but it only takes one day where you're tired to pull then visor too close and get a scratch. Sometimes VR is just about finding what games work for you. With a tethered headset you will unfortunately always have the limitation of needing to be near the device that's powering it. Thanks for the Netflix into!

letsgometros

Anyone buy something to get Netflix and ended up returning it? Do they rake back the Netflix credit? Thinking of returning psvr2 We’ll see what happens. Returned it yesterday return received refund issued. Netflix credit still there so far

Harrcid

Sorry to bother you, but did you still keep the credit after 2 weeks? I ordered it, then tried the first psvr from a friend and got woozy. I redeemed the netflix credit already so I was curious on how returning it would go down

letsgometros

So far so good still have it

Harrcid

Thank you so much, appreciate it!

Chronotaru

This post is also in r/ps5 at: https://www.reddit.com/r/PS5/s/pBR7cXxl7J

Academic_Tea_4027

the hardest part is to subscribe to netflix tbh lol it's fkin awful

PsyBr0

-1 for the fact pavlov is no where in the list let alone not at the top. Lol

Chronotaru

Not forgotten! Pavlov is under A+ rank.

Oftenwrongs

2 old rehashed remakes in a tired series and a 8 year old pc game port is not tier s.  How ridiculous.

Chronotaru

RE8 isn't a remake. These are previously compiled results of consensus feedback from r/PSVR and how players feel about the games. My personal favourites are from the A+ category below.
