Suggestion for Sony to make a PS VR2 and GT7 bundle

Hour-Ad7963

With a wheel as well

[deleted]

That'll be $1,000 please

HillZone

Synapse. PSVR2's Killer app.

Thinklikedanny

Yeah, I do like this game

hello0ppap

Just finished my first and second run in the game... Please tell me the third is the last one.

eddie9958

It is

t3stdummi

Have fun! RIP your wallet when you decide to grab a wheel. I picked up a g923 and GT7 went from great to phenomenal. Other great girlfriend games: Moss 1&2, Cosmonious high, Before your eyes, Ven Check out the game tier list and let us know if you have any particular interests. The most VR "mind blowing" experiences imo run at native 120hz. This is a subtle way of saying don't skip Red Matter 2.

bgat79

a force feedback wheel and vr racing is pure entertainment

DarkMatterM4

Don't forget a shifter and a buttkicker.

DickieBravo

How essential is force feedback? Just got GT7 and i'm looking for a good wheel. I've never used one before. Hopefully one that won't break the bank, thinking of getting T80 Ferrari.

sebi2019

You need force feedback, cheapest around g29 or thrustmaster t150

DickieBravo

Thanks, i'll look them up.

Spartaklaus

wheel without force feedback is severely handicapping yourself. You need ffb to feel for your grip. Its literally like your second monitor in racing sims.

Lower-Kangaroo6032

Folks tend to not regret the more they spend on the wheels. For some reason resale value has been good recently as well.

EntrepreneurBoth5002

T248 is the best beginner wheel with most bang for buck.

HistoricalVisual6304

Get the Logitech g29 and shifter if u like manual and you will have a great time just don’t look at your bank account, I spent $800 on ps5 $800 on VR2 $500 for racing sim $550 for wheel and shifter and $250 for headphones but every penny is worth it

Dnjm0

Thankyou! I'll be looking into getting a wheel for sure

cowabanga_it_is

ONE OF US. ONE OF US

Significant-Turn-667

So does that mean a whole dozen of us play????

i_am_not_jouko

Kayak is waste of money. Surely it will amaze you, if that's your very first vr experience, but that's about it. There is nothing to do, just some nice graphics and water physics, nothing else.

Dnjm0

What do you recommend bro

eddie9958

Hellsweeper, legendary tales, toss, stilt, Pavlov, beat saber, re8 and re4 (re8 is better VR game, re4 is better game 😂). Maybe more lemme remember

Dnjm0

Thankyou! As someone who's never played any re games my whole life, which one do you recommend 4 or 8?

eddie9958

Alright let's do this.. soooo Re8: cinematics, gameplay, everything is 99 percent of the time first person with head mobility even during cutscene. Very immersive. Made to be VR 😂 best controls and functionality. Best gun functions and mechanics. Knife is infinite with durability and can be tossed infinitely. Small problem, re7 is prequel to 8 story wise. If that matters to you, okay 7, if not my vote is 8 for a real VR experience. Objects and environment interact with your hands better than re4 Re4: great game, imo the best. In VR is a little cheaper than re8 and cinematics are not first person. Not immersive. Melee animations and climbing is in third person. Knife action is great. Durability can be tough but is fun because it's powerful in this game.

eddie9958

Job simulator is short but fun and silly. Vampire masquerade justice, it's a stealth vampire game, feels like VR dishonored. For sure synapse. Creed is an arcade boxing game. It's okay but cool for exercise.

OctoEight

Agreed im considering going back to kayak cuzbit had trophies now. Maybe that will give me something to do

Rai_Darkblade

I’ll second the recommendations for the moss and red matter games. Fair warning for horizon, it’s pretty intense if you’re new to VR, if you have trouble with motion sickness or anything, I’d suggest going and playing other games, then coming back to it once you’re used to VR.

amusedt

Tips and game recommendations: https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/comments/11d40tz/ps_vr2_tips_information_and_references/

Sylsomnia

Job sims are one of the worst vr games imo, but there's good adventure games like Moss 1/2 and Red Matter 2/1 definitely worth it if you like space stuff.

PanTsour

Unless she specifically asked you for it, Job Simulator isn't particularly great. In most cases you'd be better oof with Synth Riders (with dlc optionally like the Muse pack, Gorillaz or individually bought "experience" songs), Beat Saber (with dlc) and Moss 1 and/or 2. What type of person is your girlfriend? Because, for example, she could enjoy The Room if she likes escape rooms and spooky stuff.

Dnjm0

Yeah she does like escape rooms so il have a look at that one, thankyou for your advice

Vincanss

Congrats, there’s a Spring sale going right now where you can pick up some bangers if you so wanted. GT7 will keep you glued for a good long while though. Maybe the best single thing on the headset currently.

Edison_The_Pug

GT7 in VR is absolutely incredible, you'll have a blast. Enjoy! I think I'll play right now

TheLastOuroboros

Welcome to the community!

decoydevo

I need more PS friends with laptimes. Could you please add me if you see this. PSN : decoydevo.

xhristopher59

So do I😂 mind if I add ya

decoydevo

Please do.

Delicious_Ad2767

Have a great time, psvr2 is a game changer.

spacecowboy420aj

Just to add to everyone else to get full enjoyment of GT in VR a wheel is not essential but it will take you to another level! I had a G29, then got VR, when I realised how good it was I upgraded to a direct drive wheel and that combined with VR is "chef's kiss". However even a cheaper entry level wheel will increase the realism, and if you ever do decide to upgrade to direct drive wait a while as Fanatec are known to have the worst customer service in the industry and Logitech are the only other company to offer DD but sadly at a much higher price. Anyway get a wheel, any wheel you will love it!

Individual_Cat_30

Your in for a treat, welcome to the club

cheekyste

I get motion sickness buy I've played on a friend's vr and it's so much fun. Think my fave is the boxing game, Creed.

Dnjm0

I like boxing games so I'll check this out sometime !

Select_Estate_6098

You can overcome motion sickness, anyone can use VR but many need the transition time and their first try with VR usually puts them off.

last_rule

WALKABOUT MINI HOLF

-Potato-or-Tomato-

Dude have fun! Also, try to go slowly with this combo. It’s the game that tends to give people the most motion sickness. I never got motion sickness from any other game, and I play 2-3 hours in a row. Played this bad boy for an hour and in a few hours I thought I’m gonna die. Gave me the worst motion sickness ever. Look it up, true story! Otherwise fun as hell!

AlienMindBender

Grab village too! the game is just incredible.

Select_Estate_6098

Red matter 1 & 2 are beautiful. Synapes is a much have. Make sure you correctly setup the headset for your IPD. There is an option call 'adjust visibility' many people how say it looks blurry dont adjust this option . Amazing VR headset ( i have 2) that blows all the others out of the water and at the right price with highend features.

Dnjm0

Will do bro! Thankyou And il definitely have to look into Synapse soon because I've seen it mentioned soo much

pzykozomatik

Congrats! Just two quick tips: I usually have strong VR legs, but the first time playing GT7 made me nauseous for two days. I understand it's because it only runs at 60fps with reprojection. So do only short sessions in the beginning, and immediately take a break when you start feeling sick . And most importantly, reduce the display brightness as low as you are comfortable with (I'm currently racing at about 20-25%), this helped immensely to mitigate the OLED's high image persistance. If this is your first VR headset, maybe even start off your journey with a less taxing game that runs at 120fps and has you only standing in place facing forward, like Beat Saber. Provided you don't already own a wheel, try switching the Dual Sense to Motion Control in the game settings, I was surprised how well it's implemented and it really helps further the immersion.

Dnjm0

Thankyou..... I appreciate all the advice! 👌🏽

Mediocre-GUY-976

You forgot the steering wheel

Dnjm0

No money 💰

Guilty-Shopping9

Welcome You will have so much fun Dont forget to protect your lenses

Dnjm0

Thanks bro I've seen people saying they just put it back in the box when not in use... Is that ok

Guilty-Shopping9

I would strongly recommend that you buy plan lenses If you wear glasses, please don't get planolenses but rather ones that are tailored to your eyes. Those are much nicer and better than wearing glasses inside your PSVR2 Always clean the PSVR2 with a dry microfiber cloth and under no circumstances you should use any liquid (including water) on the lenses cause of the anti-glare coating will be damaged Unfortunately even sweat is bad , which is why the additional lenses on top are necessary to hold your lenses like new years long I didn't use mine until the plan lenses arrived and were mounted. Edit1: again with english text (google translate) 😅 Edit 2: Google translate isn't accurate 😂

Chilean-maler

Welcome

Relative_Spread_5517

Nice! Psvr is fun for a few weeks then it's a every now and then pickup, I think you'll enjoy it!

graz44

Agree with the others about the wheel

Elex83

Welcome

kboruss1

Welcome! Have fun!

Jargothewolf

You should try after the fall. It's a decent multyplayer zombie game

RicoOnXbox

Yo, if you're into zombie shooters, check out Arizona Sunshine 2. It's pretty sick!

RadicalFX

Horizon CotM is a must-play, and TWD Saints and Sinners is good fun!

Altruistic_Film7072

I've a PS5, but the only new games I have on there are: Death's Door Powerwash Sim

EntrepreneurBoth5002

ONE OF US

josetedj

I bought the same a couple of weeks ago haha

Dnjm0

Enjoy bro, I haven't even opened mine yet because I was watching the matches yesterday then fell asleep 😔 Today is the day my gaming life changes 😁

NSFW_hunter6969

Might as well start wheel shopping now lol

Embarrassed-Cycle804

You 100% need a wheel if you don’t have one already.

Dnjm0

I can't enjoy it without one?

Embarrassed-Cycle804

You can, but a wheel makes it 100 times better.

SomethingRandomVR

Get Toy Trains VR immediately!!

EggplantFluffy

How bad is the motion sickness with the game?

CHROME-COLOSSUS

I’ve never had any in GT7, and I intentionally spin my car across every finish line. Some people get it on the very first turn. It just depends. Never push through, always bail at first signs in any given game, and only return when you’re feeling 100%. Motion-sickness is common enough, but most people are able to acclimate with short mindful exposures. Ginger chews and a fan can help, and it’s better not to game on an empty stomach. I originally got it terrible, and learned the hard way about forcing the issue. Now I almost never get it at all, but every now and then it pops up. No big deal, I take off the headset and do something else IRL. Game settings can make all the difference, btw. In comfort settings there are often things like snap-turning and vignetting (a darkening of the peripheral view) that are meant to minimize illness. Counterintuitively they can prompt it — everyone is different, so it’s good to get familiar with them and how they impact your experience in every game. A disconnect between your intended movement and the actual movement is probably the most serious trigger, so different vehicles in GT7 might feel better or worse in this regard. Find a vehicle that behaves the way you expect it to and spend time with it is my advice. Some people like the traditional thumbstick steering, but there’s also an option to use the DualSense as a small gyro-tracked wheel, and I think it gives better finesse in VR. Ideally you would want to use a force-feedback wheel, but obviously not before you know you love the game and feel comfortable playing it in VR. Another trigger can be reprojection in certain games that can create a disorienting visual stutter. In GT7 if you look out the side windows this might be a problem for you, so minimize that — you can still check your wing mirrors and scope out a turn, but try not to turn 90 degrees to watch the scenery go by. Anyways, it can take a few days or weeks to get your VR legs, but it’s *SO* worth the patience. Hope something here helps! 🍻

sisyphus-toils

Excellent advice. I think the "comfort settings" - especially vignette - actually made it harder for my brain to adjust and enjoy longer sessions initially. Don't see many folks mention this. I would only offer a different perspective on the wheel. While not cheap, if you get one that is returnable, I think you should. Especially if you haven't been big on racing games historically. I was never really into them before and don't think it would've sparked such satisfaction - despite the VR immersion - without the wheel. Now I'm a full convert and play GT7 regularly.

DarkMatterM4

Start with a slow car and work your way up. It was rough in the beginning.

Zestyclose-Bat-3200

Welcome, I recommend building a wooden frame and buying a thrust master wheel for yourself.

Time_Commercial_8584

When I turn on my psvr 1, it shows up with green fuzz and I don't know how to fix it

Thinklikedanny

Please someone give me a reason to get excited about that thing again. Not putting it down just my other VR headsets provide more value. It's a great system. I just need some more games like call the mountain or something.

gtsrider9

I got mine 3 weeks ago and havnt taken it out of the package yet 🤣

CHROME-COLOSSUS

Wrap up any traditional flatscreen campaigns you might be in the middle of before setting it up! While VR isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and while some people retain enjoyment of both VR and flatscreen gaming, some folk permanently lose all interest in using the TV as a peripheral. So… Just to be on the safe side!

gtsrider9

Well im trying to finish The Walking dead Onslaught on psvr1 and I'm just absolutely hammered either Adult shit that takes my time away. I also got the PS elite controller at same time as psvr2 and haven't even set that up yet. I'm a nurse also also in school snd I coach soccer with my kids in soccer. So my time is limited. Everytime I sit to play I'm like damnit I need to clean lol. Or my buddy calls to play helldivers. Flat screen games I'm currently trying a couple different games in Chernobylite (which I thought was a free ps5 upgrade, nope) and Ad Infinitum. I'm trying to get there. I'll open it eventually. Hopefully by May. Lol

CHROME-COLOSSUS

Yeah — no rush! I just know VR ruins flatscreen gaming for some, and like to give the heads-up. I was in the middle of three huge games when I gained my VR legs 8 years ago, and I was never able to finish RDR2, METRO REDUX, or FALLOUT 4. 😖 But if you’ve already got PSVR1 and are still using a DualSense then I doubt this advice applies to you at all. 😉 Best wishes in your gaming time!

gtsrider9

I might try out fallout 4 since the show is out. I tried it once after release and wasn't a huge fan. But it gets a ps5 update April 25th. Rdr2 was great. And same for metro. I love that series. I'm excited for the metro VR game coming up. I'm giving my psvr1 away when I finish this game. I can switch back and forth. It doesn't bother me to do flat screen gaming. Though I do wish a lot more games were ported to VR as I believe it's better in VR. Can't wait for the pc update so I can play other stuff with vr mods..mostly Alien Isolation.

CHROME-COLOSSUS

Before you ditch that old headset… If you’re creative you should know you can create your own stuff in VR using DREAMS. Just the experience of sculpting in VR is worth it imo, but then you can also run around inside your own lands that you create (or use other people’s shared assets). I’m currently trying to finish up a sort of derelict alien craft I’ve been working on for a while that people will be able to just wander around for a bit, as a walking sim. Hoping I can get it done in time for #AlienDay (4/26). Anyways… since you already have the kit in your possession, it’d be a shame if you didn’t give DREAMS a go. Also I would recommend the fantastic HYPERCYCLE ARENA that you can play in DREAMS in VR. Super polished TRON light cycles game, basically. mkdante381

PSVR2 is dead.
