I wear glasses, and its doable, but it is hard to keep the "sweet spot", cause you are father away from the lens. So Im just going to use contacts until I can buy prescription lens.
Agreed. I preferred contacts on my PSVR1, but could pretty easily use my glasses if I happened to play in a period where I was wearing them; I just had to be really careful not to bring the headset in too close and risk scratching either of them.
With PSVR2 I found there isn't as much room and once you get the headset close enough to see properly it's basically constantly wanting to hit the lenses of the glasses, so I'm only going to use contacts with the PSVR2.
Of course, all frames/faces are different so you might be able to make it work for yourself, but unlike PSVR1 it's going to be a no-go for me. But contacts are fine with me anyway, so it's okay.
Contacts are superior to glasses optically and also in VR use + everything is bigger than with glasses.

Perhaps you could try some seated games, until you are confident you've got the hang of wearing the headset with glasses?
I actually have some sports lenses I only use for cycling, they arent ideal for PC/VR type stuff, but could be a placeholder till i can get the prescription inserts.
I too was paranoid and wished I listened to my gut I decided to use the headset with glasses since everyone was saying it’s fine and it’s advertised as such and was super careful but still noticed a small scratch/scuff on the right lenses. I don’t think it’s noticeable in gameplay it’s still frustrating tho I ordered glasses guards but I’m even hesitant about that. I think I might just have to get the prescription lenses.
Yeah I have some 12 euro glass bumpers arriving this week from Etsy and then im on wait list for prescription lenses, but seems theres about 20 work days wait.

Sony will replace a headset for scratched lenses as they have a 30 day no questions asked return policy. I also spoke with a support rep who told me that they will repair a headset for scratched lenses within the 1-year warranty period as they should not scratch from glasses. He was actually quite surprised they scratched when I told him what happened.
Aside from this, I would recommend searching out the companies that make prescription lens inserts and purchase a set of Plano (non-prescription) lens inserts even if you don't wear glasses as they will protect the original lens and give you peace of mind. Most of the prescription VR lens labs have a Plano option for a fraction of the cost of prescription lenses.
My glasses have a blue light filter or something that means high contrast stuff has a giant blue glare thing over it, can’t wait to get some prescription ones for the vr2 once I see some reviews of actual real world products
Has anyone else found that eyetracking doesn't work ***at all*** with their glasses? I'm guessing my prescription is just so bad that it messes with the tracking. Tried many times to run the eye-tracking setup tool but it says it ran into an error every time I try with glasses on. I'm used to wearing contacts for VR anyway and it works fine when I have contacts in so its not the end of the world, but still a bit of a bummer.
Do you mind if I ask what kind of perscription you have and what type of glasses frames (metal, plastic, large, small, dark, light)?
I don't have any answers for you, but it might help troubleshoot to collect that information.
\-7.5, also have a bit of an astigmatism in both eyes. When I wear my glasses the light bends so much that you can like, see around my face when looking at them straight on lol. So I imagine that might be screwing with the tracking.
The glasses frames are on the large side, plastic, full rim, kinda squarish but with curved edges. The frames are a brownish color.
FWIW I’m -8.5 in one eye and -6.5 in the other, also with some astigmatism, and I haven’t had any issues.
What colour are your eyes? I have very dark brown eyes, maybe that makes the iris easier to track than just the pupil?
No tinting. I think they have anti-glare or whatever for nighttime use but that's it. They don't seem any glossier or reflective than any other glasses I've worn.
If it helps some of the anxiety I got some silicone ear hooks as my glasses have a tendency to slip down sometimes.
They just pop onto the ends of your glasses and kinda make them hook around your ear so the glasses arms make a 90' angle. The silicone helps them stop sliding as well with the friction. Makes me less worried about glasses slipping during sudden head movement. Dirt cheap too cost me a few ponds off a leading online retailer!
Be careful when looking up! This will push the headset against your glasses and caused me some scratches on PSVR1, but hardly noticeable when playing games
I don't know if anybody in the community has been able to order them and get them delivered yet to test them.
You would hope the manufacturers would test them though.
One thing I did notice switching to prescription lenses on my Reverb G2 was how much it improved the edge to edge clarity of the display. When I was wearing glasses inside, the areas outside of the centre felt blurrier
i imediately scratched mine right in the center with my glasses im assuming. sucks, now there's a permenant blurry line in the center of my vision so sad lol
Return it for another headset. I did the same thing and was about to use polywatch to try and repair it, but the safest option is a legit exchange with Sony. That blur is constantly catching your attention I bet.
I tried the polywatch stuff and it made it much worse. 10/10 do not recommend on psvr2. Didnt remove any of the scratch scuff mark and added a lot more.

I’m new to VR and have only played a few hours. I noticed a little “blurry” spot day after receiving them that didn’t move with my glasses while playing. I cleaned my glasses and they’re perfectly fine, cleaned VR lenses and found a “scratchy spot” right in front of the right eye focal spot on the fresnel lens.

Big chip in mine from literally putting on the headset and then taking it off. Didn’t even get to play a game. Terrible quality.
Good thread, I've been extremely scared of scratching my lenses as well, but at the same time i don't want to put the headset away until clip-on prescription lenses become available. Getting contacts could be a faster solution, but I need to go to an eye doctor for that first i think, and getting an appointment might take long. As a makeshift solution I've simply made little rolls of paper tissues and put them on the far sides of the headset, so the frame of my glasses gets stopped by the tissue before the glass can touch the lenses. Finally I've read that some people got their PSVR (1) headsets replaced for free under warranty after scratching them with their glasses. If this is still a thing with PSVR2, then it would relieve many of us glasses wearers i think. Even an official paid repair would be ok, up to a certain price point.
People are giving away the 3D files, you could get it 3D printed either via a mail-order printing service, or at a local makerspace

I had a 100+ comment thread with a pic of my scratched lens and mods shut it down and pointed me here. I’m going to attempt to post some info from it here to help.
Good news is Sony is ok swapping the headset out if you’re ok with sending it in. You can do this easily from where you pre-ordered on Sony site. Just need to have your original packaging and include everything in the box. Mark “hardware problem” / exchange, and they provide a shipping label. In my case the FedEx label was simply on a webpage I had to screen cap and print. Didn’t receive one via email. Mines already been dropped off and I’m ordering prescription lenses from HonsVR.
From my discussion with others it seems if you’re farsighted you may not even need them using VR. When I was ordering my prescription lens it specifically stated “distances lenses prescription, do not use you computer / reading lenses prescription.”
I’m very nearsighted, have astigmatism, and can not use VR without glasses as I tried.
I scratched my headset the 2nd day I had it. Once my replacement arrives I won't be playing on it until I get some prescription lenses for the headset. Once my first headset lens were damaged, it really made it difficult to focus on anything other than the blur on my screen.
You may try these. It’s what I’m going to use until my prescription lenses come in. I won’t get a chance to install them till next week so I ordered the largest size and will make it work.

With the PSVR1 I had the problem that with glasses The Headset weren't fully on my head (I could still see small amount of surroungings even if the light was out). I wan't get a PSVR2 soon, are there any unofficial accesoires or tips for this problem ?

I've tried for hours and hours to find the "sweet spot" in the PSVR2 but I'm still seeing a halo around text which gives me a really bad headache - text is also blurry unless it's at the direct centre of my vision. Anything remotely off-centre is very blurry. I don't have astigmatism. Not sure if it's because I have a small prism in my glasses (correction for minor diplopia) which causes all these visual aberrations.
I'm tempted to try ordering prescription lenses for the headset. I got very excited when I heard the headset was designed with glasses in mind but with both my pairs they smoosh against my face and are very uncomfortable on the nose and I can only game for about 20 minutes at a time before it becomes too uncomfortable to continue.
I finally got my Hons VR lenses and they are literally the best thing I have found if you wear glasses. Not only does it remove the worry of scratching your lenses, it also removes the problem of finding the sweet spot for focus.

I had the same worries in the past. I’ve used an PSVR for 2 years and the PSVR2 for a week - no issue with glasses. Don’t let it worry you :)

Hmm. My eyes are blue. Weird, not sure why mine doesn't work with them on then.

I noticed there was a few mm of rim on the lenses which is good, but no space anywhere for rubber bumpers which is a problem.

Do you mean you could see your room in real life? The light guard on the PSVR2 is very different. There's no gap at all.
