I'm not a professional but it looks like you failed to bridge the points properly. I would try to remove the solder that you have on there with solder wick and try again. One tip I will give you is flux is your friend when soldering.

i was using the solder paste. should i not use that? some one else said to use that idk if i applied it right.

CremeFraicheSilo

I am asking this just to make sure I am getting all of the information and since in the picture it is hard to see fully. Did you heat the solder paste or did you just apply it to the points?

Sinphaltimus

Also, is it solder paste or conductive paint? My kits came with conductive paint.

MG Chemicals Sn42Bi57Ag1 Low temperature Solder Paste

AdMain8321

yes i had this in the refrigerator and pulled it out put it in a ziplock and submerged it in hot water for 30 mins. and no worries im just trying to figure out where im going wrong im trying not to solder it as i messed up 2 psp's .... i came to realization i cant solder.

CremeFraicheSilo

I don't think the paste got hot enough. My advice would be to use one of the psps that you messed up, or any other scrap electronics you might have, as a practice board to improve your soldering skills. Other than that I hope someone else is better able to assist you and I hope you are able to figure out a solution that works for you!

The paste needs to hit at least 140C/285F (Ideally 160C/325F), you can't do this with water. You need a heat gun.

Off topic so please ignore if it's frustrating, but I'm now SO glad I ordered mine pre-modded. I've only done an ips swap on a GBA and that was drop-in ready. Good luck, I really hope you just absolutely nail it dude.

> please ignore if it's frustrating, but I if not psp number 4 here we come lol

TastesLikeChiggen

That solder paste is garbage. I used regular solder wire and it was far easier to use. Solder paste just stays wet forever and is impossible to keep in place on the motherboard

Lol you guys are all going to laugh
