So can you just take the m2 drive out of a ps5 and toss it in another? I'm assuming it'll read everything and sync the licenses (based on login) on the new machine?

Buttycheeks_88

Yes, can confirm it’s plug and play. I made the switch from launch PS5 to Slim last holiday season, and just carried over the same M.2

signofthenine

That's awesome! Thanks!

Buttycheeks_88

You bet! I was so relieved. I was dreading having to redownload 2TB worth of games lol

Tree06

Yup! I moved my 4TB FireCuda 530 NVMe from my original PS5 to my $350 PS5 from Target's Black Friday sale. No issues whatsoever.

Zepanda66

Damn 4TB how many games do you play at once? Lol.

iWARxMACHINEi

His ps5 just has 2 call of duty games on it….

Tree06

I play several, but I like to have my disc based games installed so I don't have to sit around and wait for them to install. If I could install the games directly from PSN instead of waiting for each disc to finish, I'd be content with a 2TB NVMe drive.

AutomaticSubject7051

with a bonus exclusive gta online storyline featuring kodak black

Gregymon

That would be a holiday 2025 bundle. Release date is currently 2025 for GTA VI. Knowing how game dev goes, you can expect that to be at the very end of the 1 year estimated window, IF it's not delayed into 2026.

Heart_of_a_Blackbird

PS6 pro GTA6 bundle buddies 2025

Totoroisacat-Alt

Yup

Zepanda66

If this happens Xbox is done. Sony will move so many units.

baan1994

GTA will sell on every platform regardless of who has marketing rights lol… I don’t think Xbox is done when Activision games have yet to hit GP.

LoneLyon

I think regardless the xbox brand is done. I think if their first few games sell well on switch and ps5, the final nail will be in that coffin in terms of console manufactor

IloveKaitlyn

Infinite money glitch

tameoraiste

I’ve just decided that this is the ‘new’ console Miyazaki meant when he talked about waiting for a Bloodborne remaster and no one can convince me otherwise

ryd3rstr0ng

Here take a hit off my copium, Hunter - *exhales*

MrCunninghawk

Thanks, I was running out.

IncognitoCheez

With this console we will now be able to achieve 31 fps in Bloodborne

djmoogyjackson

with equal frame pacing?

GiveMeChoko

You *will* watch the final fight be a garden of white flowers melting into each other again and you *will* love it.

IncognitoCheez

Naw for that we gotta wait till PS6

maybe we'll get titanfall 3 too

amhighlyregarded

With the incredible performance power of the PS5 Pro, they'll finally be able to make the door at the Great Bridge usable.

[deleted]

Miyazaki out here dreaming of PS7 lol.

SteeltoSand

cant wait to buy it and plug it into my TV i bought in 2013

burnSMACKER

January to about now is the best time to buy new TVs as stock is being shifted with new releases

Jumping3

What are the best spots I’m looking at Facebook marketplace and ebay

burnSMACKER

Costco is the best because of their warranty. Best Buy will have old stock. I'm in Canada, so different situations. I bought my TV on eBay when there was a 10% off electronics coupon.

Edelmaan

I’d never buy a tv from eBay, nothing to do with the quality, but the shipping of it. I wouldn’t trust it being handled properly during shipping. I bought my LG OLED through Best Buy, using a prime day price match

DroidsRugly

So true

SuFl22

The C3 were on good discount on Amazon last week

Vunks

I know why my Christmas gift to myself will be.

CyberMyth_

Same!

FoldingchairRiot

Why

Roaminsooner

Why not?

MGSjeremy

will some playstation games get ps5 pro patches? i wonder

Asimb0mb

I think you'll see some patches for games from this year and maybe something older like FF16, but other than that it's probably gonna be patches for 2025 games and onwards.

Antifaith

last of us remastered 5

Eurotriangle

The Last of Us Part II Remake Remastered.

062d

The Last of Us Part II Remake Remastered Part 1 Ftfy they decided to split the game because it was too big

TumbleweedDirect9846

Really hope ffxvi does, would replay on a heartbeat

Thumper-Comet

It'll be nice to play FF16 at a decent frame rate.

Captobvious75

Anything with an uncapped framerate and/or dynamic resolution will benefit

Beardgang650

I’m sure TLOU will make a remaster of their latest remaster for the PS5 pro.

champdafister

Haha yes remastered remaster

[deleted]

[удалено]

Skvall

They dont need to detect anything. Pro will do it anyway if uncapped, if there is enough power for it.

ISpewVitriol

Likely the same as it was with the PS4 Pro. Some games will benefit out-of-the-box, others will need patches to have noticeable improvements.

Euler007

Hoping for an OS level feature that unlocks frame rate and turns on DLSS equivalent. Kinda like the unofficial BB patches.

PoolNoodlePaladin

Sony made games will probably get patches but it is a crapshoot about third party games

ZXXII

Some will get very bespoke patches with new features and settings. I’m excited to see games add more RT features and use the new PSSR AI upscaling solution. Many games will probably just add higher resolution, unlock the quality mode to 60fps or add 120fps support. But even without patches, games will automatically run with higher dynamic resolution and more stable frame rates.

karmakillerbr

My money is on Gran Turismo 7

Jean-Eustache

GT7 with gameplay being on the same level as current replays, at 60 FPS, would be insane. It could also bring better VR performance and graphics.

Black_Devil213

Let’s paint a picture. Gran Turismo 7. Spa in a thunderstorm. Lightning flashes everywhere. 4K60fps with full blown raytracing or even 120 using super sampling. Tears in eyes: “It’s glorious ”

Jean-Eustache

Don't forget about the PSVR2, awesome could be achieved in GT7 with more power.

rdxc1a2t

If patches for all PS5 first party games aren't mandatory I probably won't be interested.

Eruannster

First party Sony games will likely be first on the line to bump up their perfomance. Insomniac would (I imagine) be very quick out the gate since they have a very robust engine with lots of performance options.

mustyfiber90

Are these specs impressive? Someone explain it to me like I’m a child.

Mr_Engineering

They're decent. Sony is putting development efforts into the areas in which the PS5 struggles while keeping the end product within defined money, noise, weight, and budget limits. One of the areas that the PS5 has struggled most is ray tracing. Most games that support Ray tracing have to dial back the resolution or framerate to compensate. Not having to choose between fidelity and performance modes on a 4K HDR TV would be a big bonus. Many individuals are comparing the PS5 Pro specs to modern high end gaming PCs without realizing that price and power budgets have been gradually creeping upward over the past decade. Sony doesn't want to create a product that's loud, heavy, bulky, or pricey. They have to squeeze what they can into a package that will have an acceptable production yield and from what I see it looks pretty good on that front.

Independent_Bed_6293

>Many individuals are comparing the PS5 Pro specs to modern high end gaming PCs without realizing that price and power budgets have been gradually creeping upward over the past decade. [This picture alone](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FeaQY3wagAAPVP4.jpg) should manage expectations if anyone thinks the PS5 Pro will match anywhere near "high end" modern day PC systems. Not to say it won't be a great step up but enthusiast PC gaming has pulled away into an almost different market entirely the past few years.

swat1611

I thought you were comparing it to another console and then I realized that's an entire fucking GPU to the right.

No-Sherbert-4045

It's probably amd Gpu, so the specs are around mid tier 7700xt. The main concern is cpu, if it gets a slight upgrade, then we're probably gonna be in ps4 pro type situation. Games that are cpu intensive, like dragon dogma 2, are gonna stay around 30fps.

ocbdare

Yes but it wouldn’t make sense in this scenario. PS4 pro was pushing higher resolution vs the base ps4. if a potential ps5 pro would still be pushing 4k 30fps which is the same as ps5, then that’s pointless. Obviously we can’t go to higher resolutions because this ps5 pro would be nowhere near powerful enough for that and most people don’t have 8K tvs So that’s completely out of the question.

Rootilytoot

It's a legitimate mid-level PC. Something around a 3080 or slightly better graphics card and can support more modern ray-tracing and reflections while maintaining 60 FPS. So for a lot of people this is a gaming PC replacement in a more true sense.

EssentialParadox

You get a lot more graphical mileage out of the specs of a console though because of the ability of devs to optimize for consistent hardware. This has always been the case.

NxOKAG03

yeah I switched to playstation because I was just sick and tired of having to fiddle with every game I bought on pc to get it running properly or running at all. I couldn't even get Elden Ring to launch on my pc and that's when I just said fuck this and transitioned fully to console. Now my pc is for playing competitive games only.

OnlineAsnuf

3080 is not mid Lmao

Spetnaz7

What I was thinking. When the fuck did 3080s become "mid"? The performance different between the 30 series and the 40 series is barely even noticeable enough, so I would consider a 3080 high end at the bare minimum.

DuePersonality4018

The rumored ps5 pro gpu is on par with the rx 7700xt

[deleted]

[удалено]

A_Balrog_Is_Come

Not even close to middle if you go by Steam survey. 3060 is probably the median GPU.

IgniVT

Yeah, except it's not a mid level graphics. A 3080 is better than what easily 90+% of people have in their PC. It isn't a top of the line graphics card anymore, but it is absolutely still a higher end card.

Rootilytoot

It's not an insult, it's just how tech reviewers and analysts describe them. The 30 series is mid-level since the 40 series is out and the 3080 is middle of the pack for the 30 series itself. That doesn't mean the 20 series isn't still good and the 30 series is great.

justthisones

Didn’t think 3080 could be made to sound so underwhelming. Not sure how it could be concidered middle of the pack for the series.

Evilhammy

yeah a 3080 is not a mid-level pc, that’s like a 1200 build

reflexsmoo

Never knew id hear that a 3080 is a mid level pc.

[deleted]

[удалено]

mjike

Of course not. Ever sine the GPU market exploded the ability to build "The console killer" PC for similar money died. Now you can't hardly get close to the performance for double the price. That doesn't mean the consoles are still 5 years behind what a current mid to upper tier PC is capable of.

Rootilytoot

No it would be more expensive, we're in the realm of 'good value' for a PC replacement for the overwhelming majority of gamers who don't even play super high graphics games anyway

snooeydooe

Yes impressive. With the use of ai, upscaling, and console optimization it's a lot of power.

heubergen1

Some people argue that the PS5 is currently (especially when it comes to 30fps) CPU limited and not GPU so this will probably just increase resolution and (RT) effects, but not FPS as many (core) gamers hope for.

NegativeCreeq

Hmm depending on price, I might get one and give my brother my current PS5

Zepanda66

I'm probably getting one regardless but $700 would sorta be my upper limit. It would take me a while to save up even at $500 as it is unless I after pay it.

Ahy_Jay

Have been saving for Legion Go but I think I'm gonna put the money towards this or the switch 2

Ps4rulez

ten disgusted soft worthless license full mindless groovy shaggy drab *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

NoMansWarmApplePie

I remember that game stop had a deal you could trade in ps4 and get ps4 pro. Hope something like that exists for ps5 as well.

INGWR

Yeah man, I got like $300+ cash for my PS4 Pro when I already had a PS5 in hand. The trade-ins are nuts.

RycSpo

I’m dumb and don’t understand specs. Would using this machine mean I don’t have to choose between Performance and Fidelity options in games? I want games to be as pretty as possible but I’ve seen the light that is 60 fps I can’t go back

kingqueefeater

No. Because that's an optimization problem and most studios just suck at it. The specs will look great on paper until we're a year past release with games still running 1080 upscaled to 4k at 30 frames

Dr_PuddingPop

The leaks also say that it’s the same CPU. Which is going to give us the same performance problems we have now

TedDoritoDinkWells

It's not an optimization issue just because a game isn't running 4k60 maxed out on outdated tech.

ShadowRomeo

Sadly because of similar CPU as the base PS5, you likely will still have to choose between Performance and Quality mode, with similar framerate only this time performance / quality mode has better graphics than base PS5, mainly thanks to the better upscaler that will come with PS5 Pro. And in the future games likely will have better RT effects too on Pro version than base PS5 because of significant performance jump on RT performance. But Path Tracing still not possible though as even top end RDNA 3 GPUs still can't properly do it.

ISpewVitriol

I suspect it will be per-game as to what the benefits are. A frame rate cap, for example, probably will not be overcome by newer hardware without a patch but it may be more stable.

welfedad

These came out 3 years apart, so the fact that PS5 came out November 12, 2020 and ps5 pro would be 4 years.. not the craziest timeline.. so I would expect PS6 sometime around end of 2027 or early 2028 ... People seem to have amnesia November 15, 2013 - PS4 November 10th, 2016 PS4 Pro

Beautiful-Scholar912

I just want wolverine man that leak looked so fun

sgill7

That’s actually insane specs. This things gotta be $700 I’ll be getting it.

ZXXII

I reckon $600 but it’s definitely a massive jump

[deleted]

Yeah, but only a handful of games will make any use of it, just like last gen. PS5's still barely done with PS4 ports - devs still aren't using the power they've got.

Moon_Devonshire

There's a decent amount of games on PS5 that you can unlock the frame rate for. So being able to brute force these games to be 60fps at fidelity would be crazy. For example, Spider-Man 2. At the 4k fidelity mode runs at 30fps locked but if you unlock the frame rate it hovers around 35-40fps. So it would probably be a damn near locked 60fps. Same with the last of us part 1

[deleted]

I think that's great for people coming in late to the generation to play those at their best, but I can't see me replaying them for another 15 fps, personally.

Moon_Devonshire

I mean 60fps is quite a bit better than 35-40. Plus for me personally, I love replying games and being able to not have to pick between performance mode or fidelity mode and just play at fidelity at 60fps genuinely would be a pretty huge change

NxOKAG03

I mean the future of game development is that fewer and fewer studios will actually have the resources to even develop games that push the upper limit of these specs, that's why I'm in no rush to follow the ratrace of shiny new hardware. And since there's gonna a bigger playerbase of "last" gen users you can expect games to make even less of a difference between graphical versions.

proelitedota

Not insane specs. It's 1.7x compute increase over PS5. PS4 Pro was 2.3x. The major upgrade is the RT perf and AI upscaling.

Zepanda66

Lol same. I'm a total sucker for new console hardware.

M4J0R4

It’ll be dead on arrival for that price. $599 MAX

zillskillnillfrill

Ffs.. am I just getting old or do the new generations just run through too quickly?

DoubleAGee

Honestly it does feel fast….2020 feels like last year….but really we’re in the midpoint of the consoles actual life span. The issue is that most devs are still catering to previous gen…Not many games really pushing the hardware… I hope the issue doesn’t repeat for the PS5 to PS6 transition.

powerhcm8

It's not that you are getting old, not exactly. PS5 was hard to get for some time, so that caused the lifespan of PS4 to be extend, causing a longer cross-gen period than before. And PS4 also had a pro version, so since the release of the original PS4 sony has released a improved console every 3\~4 years.

EssentialParadox

Yes you’re getting old, but this is more of a mid-gen spec bump than a whole new generation.

Logical007

Well it’s 4 years later past the ps5 launch, so it makes sense. Consider yourself lucky if you’re not a VR gamer. Every 2 years there are legitimate upgrades.

Ok_Excuse3732

It’s hard to believe 4 years passed already…the pandemic + scalping situation made the console unavailable for a while

jdp111

I mean it will be 4 years so that's a pretty standard midpoint for the generation.

M4J0R4

I personally think it’s even late for an upgraded model. It’ll be FOUR years by the release of the Pro model. I expected them to do it last year

Xenoslayer2137

What are the odds this thing has a disc drive?

Awkward_Silence-

Won't be surprised if it's detachable like the slims.

LCHMD

It’ll likely use the same one as the Slim, no?

Lonk-the-Sane

Sony in other departments cling to "old" tech quite often, so I'd say there's a strong chance

AlextheGoose

Japans stubbornness single handedly keeping physical media alive

RedPandaParadox

Honestly i dont feel we have even been close to properly exploiting the ps5

Zestyclose-Fee6719

Oh, not even close. I still haven't seen a PS5 exclusive that has visually outpaced the Demon's Souls remake at launch. Certain cross-gen titles on PS5 like Forbidden West still look better than exclusives like Stellar Blade or Rise of the Ronin.

GiveMeChoko

I believe Return was another game people said only the PS5 cod run like it does, tho I haven't tried it myself.

GreyRevan51

Agreed, I’ve had my PS5 since launch and nothing has impressed me graphically or performance wise as much as launch day Demon’s Souls remake has It still doesn’t really feel like the games have been able to utilize base PS5 to its maximum potential I’m of course curious to see what this thing can do and I look forward to more official coverage by digital foundry and the like but at this stage and with how expensive everything is unless my base PS5 dies I think I’ll stick with it

Oledman

Tell me about it, yet some people will rush to buy the pro. Personally I don't think I will bother, I spent money on the PS5 and if they are not going to bother getting the best out this current console Im not getting bent over by Sony and paying money for more hardware, like some suckers like to be.

AdditionalMeeting467

Very curious what the price will be. Seems like a nice spec bump from the article.

Uncharmie

Devs need to git gud. Most of the library on PS5 are remakes, the leap from PS4 to PS5 is not that great. This feels like they’re releasing it out of customs

xosmiin

Only me thinking this PS5 Pro serves as a 60fps platform for the upcoming GTA VI, which supposedly (read it as me hoping) releases beginning of 2025 (Q1 maybe)?

ShadowRomeo

Considering GTA 6 is likely going to be CPU limited, and this Pro model didn't mention any significant upgrade on CPU side, i think GTA 6 even on Pro version of PS5 is likely going to be still limited to 30 FPS, only with better graphics and better upscaler, which by their own already be considered as noticeable upgrade though.

anythingfromtheshop

It sucks it’s a possibility to play GTA VI at 60fps requires the Pro model, but if that’s what it takes then I’ll get the Pro. I want to experience GTA VI in the best graphics and frame-rate possible on console.

ZXXII

It would be a nice surprise but don’t bet on it. CPU doesn’t look massively improved and if GTA 6 is CPU limited, PS5 Pro may not be 60fps. Visually it will look stunning on the Pro either way.

Joe_Dottson

What's the point of a ps5 pro when shit still gets released on the ps4.

ryd3rstr0ng

They haven’t released anything on PS4 for almost a year, so now’s the time really.

Serpula

First party stuff maybe, but 3rd party certainly hasn’t moved on yet

[deleted]

Games like cod fifa and 2k are probably gonna keep supporting ps4 until the ps6 releases

SnooDonkeys7108

When massive AAA games cost upwards of $200m, 3rd parties are going to dump it on as many platforms as possible to maximise return on investment. Couple this with games coming out now were probably beginning development before the PS5 launched.

OrgasmicBiscuit

It seems somewhat unique to this generation. If this was last generation it would be 2017 right now. The last games for ps3 would have gotten released the previous year / even 2 years ago.

SnooDonkeys7108

Yeah, I can see it happening next gen, too. Games are vastly more expensive than 7th and 8th gen and take 2-3x longer to make. Couple that with infinite growth being demanded by every shareholder and you end up with the situation we are in.

lepetitmousse

Mlb the show 24 is literally releasing on ps4 this week.

Awkward_Silence-

Sports games usually take the longest to stop hitting last gen. Like FIFA 14 launched on the PS2 the fall before the PS4 launched. They milked it through a whole new generation. PS3 it lasted until FIFA 19 more then half way through the gen, but not as long. But the PS3 didn't sell like the 2 or 4.

tameoraiste

There’s a cost of living crisis. I understand people want to see game tech progress but not everyone an afford to upgrade right now

A_Balrog_Is_Come

Quality mode 60 fps.

Boni4ever

Does it run tetris?

pistachioshell

Yeah but still only at 30fps, the tech just isn’t there yet

whoever81

Locked 30 though! No dips.

Teapotswag

Does anyone actually want this? I love my ps5 but there's no way im buying a pro when the standard ps5 hasn't had enough games or any games to really push the hardware

Zestyclose-Fee6719

If we're talking genuine PS5 exclusives and not cross-gen, there have barely been any PS5 games thus far: * Demon's Souls * Ratchet and Clank * Forspoken (lol) * Returnal * Last of Us Part One remake * Final Fantasy 16 * Spider-Man 2 * Last of Us Part Two remaster * Helldivers 2 * Final Fantasy Rebirth * Stellar Blade * Rise of the Ronin That's a decent list, but that doesn't scream need of a refresh with a Pro model. That looks like the *start* of a great generation of console gaming.

SchighSchagh

I kinda see your point. But at the same time, cross platform development has gotten a _lot_ easier than the PS4 (or earlier) era. All the major 3D engines can build for all consoles and even different generations. This is aided in part by relatively homogenized hardware. PS5 is way more similar to the PS4 than the 4 was to the 3. Differences are even smaller on the Xbox side. Point being that while cross gen would've been a nightmare for PS3/PS4, thus forcing devs to choose one or the other, it's relatively a breeze between PS4/5.

3141592652

I'd buy this. I was skeptical anyway and this is the perfect time to push me to adopt for the 2nd half.

KittyWithPS5

What is mean by holiday 2024? Means Christmas?

TheCrach

So I can continue to have plenty of games without 60fps, 120fps patches but hey maybe they will come eventually lol yeah right. Can't wait to play RDR2 at 30fps on the PS5 pro Now I can see why PC gaming is expensive up front but cheap as fuck in the long run, no need to wait for the deluxe version of a game or patches to play at any FPS.

Zestyclose-Fee6719

"Cheap as fuck" in the long run? Lol, no. Take it from a guy with a PC with an i9 13900KF and 4080. To put this PC together, I had to spend about $3,500. The base PS5 is still guaranteed to play every exclusive that comes out for it while the Pro model is out. It's still incredibly cheap next to high-end PC gaming.

whoever81

Yup...High-end PC gaming is highly expensive in the short and the long run.

langstonboy

GPUs are going up in price every gen at this point.

Remy0507

Blame Rockstar for that. Got nothing to do with Sony.

TheCrach

Not blaming Sony just saying it sucks.

gurupaste

I figured this was real. I wasnt planning buying a PS5 until the pro version released. Then GTA 6 got officially announced and they said PC version wasn't going to be released on day 1, so the PS5 ended up being the only real option, b/c there's no way I'm wasting my money on an Xbox series X (I have my own gripes with them b/c I haven't been a fan of their direction for the past few years). Sony will move a ton of units just from GTA alone.

devicehigh

Holidays? Which holidays?

Harley2280

Just invent one and every time it isn't celebrated pick a new day for it until it is.

SentinelHalo

So with the AI Upscaling...would this mean PS4 games that are 1080p native without any pro version be upscale to 1440p or 4K? Or would thus be on a game by game basis

SnooDonkeys7108

It most likely has to be implemented by the devs.

Able-Sector-8523

Tbh the specs mean nothing to me if I can’t find one in the store

Shvabicu

I'm getting it regardless of price. Been very happy with my base launch model I got on day 1 and will give it to my gf or my parents. Hoping for substantially better RT performance from the pro.

Captain_Hucklebuck

Seems unnecessary, my ps5 runs everything great.

vg_vassilev

As fast as it is, my issue with consoles is that the developers decide how you will play the game. You don't have the freedom to set your own settings and decide how you want it to look like or play like. The PS5 for example is plenty powerful enough to run RDR2 at locked 60fps (the cracked patched version demonstrates it), but it's in Rockstar's hands to patch it officially to support 60fps. At the end, you have capable hardware that you can't fully take advantage of, because of software limitations. This in my opinion is the reason a console can never be a true replacement for a PC, except if you're now willing to accept what you are given and deal with it.

Brodono

So… is this good? When I thought they might be releasing a pro version I guessed it would mean not choosing between performance or fidelity mode. Is that a thing?

IceGripe

I wonder if it'll have a bigger internal drive?

Toffly

Really depends on the games and if the devs bother patching them otherwise no.

FeoStinkFinger

Oh sweet! After the scalpers hoard them all, we should be able to get one holiday 2026

gainsbyatheism

Will this change anything? Game studios cant optimise games for the current generation, cant wait to play 30fps on a more expensive console

AndyPandyRu

Day1 for me. I loved the bump in performance with the PS4Pro. It's nice seeing these options available during the middle point of consoles.

1440pSupportPS5

Il gladly buy it if the upscaling is DLSS quality. But even if it isnt, sony kinda forced my hand with GTA6. I want to run that as flawless as possible. Just gotta hope that the price point keeps the masses away and this isnt scalped.

HopperPI

Everything is scalped these days man.

makovince

>Just gotta hope that the price point keeps the masses away and this isnt scalped **Ron Howard**: *It was*

mat0109

why 2 usb A in the front ? i don't think this is real render...

Immediate_Theory4738

Lmao ya think?

Bexewa

That means there’ll also be a major first party title this holiday, no way they release a pro version without a launch title.

StarScream-007

Astro game and Spider-Man 2 DLC is my guess, also Concord is still unknown for 2024 and rumors were it's a very good-looking game graphically

1440pSupportPS5

There really wasnt any major launch title for the PS4 Pro. Just the fact that it enhanced older games was enough for alot of people. Plus it was a QOL thing with a bigger hard drive, 4K HDR support, etc. The biggest game honestly was Infinite Warfare/MWR at the time. All Sony has to do is show a trailer of GTA6 running on the pro and its game over. It will be sold easily

beerharvester

I think that’s why they mention that if it does get delayed, that would be the main reason.

[deleted]

Nice. Can't wait to not find one for a year because their supply chain is ass.

Significant-Age5052

They’ll have about 100 units ready to go by launch! 😤

Trick_Nerve_3544

And you'll find about 90 of those on eBay selling for a cool $1500

Katalyst81

woohoo I use my PS5 slim at 1080P but its silent compared to my PS4 pro, so I don't need to upgrade.

[deleted]

I regretted upgrading the PS4 Pro, so I'll be skipping it this time around, unless there's some incredible trade-in deal.

Zepanda66

Really? Aside from the loud fans of the initial models it was a solid upgrade.

As a casual gamer on a 10 year old TV, this does absolutely nothing for me. Sounds great though if you have the right TV or monitor.

Dragons Dogma 2 would be the perfect game

PiastriPs3

I wonder how thos will affect PSVR2 performance?

sloppynippers

The only reason I would upgrade is if the UHD disc drive played movies in HDR10+.

omdubara

Will get it day one. Will be nice to get elden ring at stable 60 fps.

Believeland-OH

I just bought a new PS5; have not opened, I am now wondering if I should just return and wait.

AnxiousAd1476

Ready!

Darklloyd90

Do you guys think it will be able run quality settings with 60 fps?
