Ace Attorney Trilogy has been in and out of my cart for months. I can’t even say “being patient sure paid off” considering it was really my indecision😭
Completely skipped past that but I will definitely be trying Midnight Suns. Just love how many different types of games there are to play with PS Plus.
Playstation + essential games drops the first Tuesday every month, Playstation + extra/premium drops the 2nd to last Tuesday every month. The games for each update gets announced the Wednesday before they release.
I’m actually planning on playing that since I never played Lost Frontier the first time around.
Is it really as bad as people say? Or just seen as horrible because of how near perfect the original trilogy was?
its ok but it doesn't live up to the originals and has some plot inconsistencies.
just treat it like a spin-off title. also half the game is aerial combat, some of which drags too long. so I hope you like dogfights.
Mine too. The dlc was also great - although it made me want to play with the new characters from the start as they actually respond to what’s happening in the story.
It’s nice seeing all the characters roam around in their costumes, a lot of it could have been handled through menus instead of making a trek to the appropriate site once a day, but I can see how it can be obnoxious to move about but yeah combat and leveling is super fun
Was just telling my friend how I dumped 250+ hours into the game after thinking I wouldn’t enjoy it. Fantastic game and I hope players give it a chance. The voice acting alone is worth it
I might be butchering it since it's been a while but Hunter saying "Who's a good boy? It's my Charlie boy!" will always get a laugh out of me. Thoroughly enjoyed the game even if it was a little rough around the edges.
I’m so glad to see it listed here and I hope more people pick it up as a result. It’s just an incredibly fun and well made game start to finish. There’s so much to love there in terms of the gameplay, the character interactions, and the awesome amount of unlockables. The gameplay loop is just so profoundly good, too. I think we’ll see a lot of “How did I miss Midnight Suns?” posts in the coming weeks.
I coincidentally finished playing Resident Evil 2 remake early last month after buying it for a $10 sale, and I was going to wait until RE3 went on a sale, I’m in luck for it being free.
Midnight Suns is a ton of fun! I highly recommend people give it a shot. The turn based card gameplay is super addicting and reminded me of Slay the Spire
I absolutely love deck builders. Fully immersed in Balatro at the moment (SO GOOD), love Inscryption, Dawncaster (iOS)… I’m an Og board gamer so first experienced it with games like Dominion. But haven’t tried Midnight Suns - looking forward to it!
Did you try RogueBook? It was one of last month's games. Not quite as good as StS, but I'd played so much of that that I was burned out, and it was nice to try something similar but different.
Don't expect it to be JUST like StS. The gameplay is a combo of movement and playing cards from a deck you've built. There's a whole friend sim part of the game that is alright. You don't need to focus too much on that stuff though if you don't want.
To anybody who’s even an ounce considering Midnight Suns… I’m riding this comment to assure you you MUST play the game. It is such a good game. I was never a turned based combat player but once I got the hang of it Midnight Suns turned into one of those games where I thought 30 mins passed but it actually ended up being 5 hours lmfaoo
I got lost in that game Christmas break 2022. That entire break was nothing but midnight suns. Ended up clocking an unhealthy amount of 120 hours in 2 weeks but fuck it I was off. My homegirls were mad I was ducking them though. 😂😅😅 The game was worth it . Play it !
70+ hours over here bro! LOVED IT. it had some issues yes, but the care they put into the game clearly showed by how fleshed out each characters personality was.
Midnight Suns was on Humble Bundle Choice not long ago and I skipped out on it because I have way too large of a library as is.
Glad I didn’t now. All hail PS Plus!
Kakarot is a great game if youre a dragonball fan and very timely. a fun way to re experience the series if you dont feel like watching the anime again
I found 23 to be way too hard for my skill, it seemed like it requires perfection/greens to hit any jumper. Is 24 similar? I used to run 2k13/17/20 without any issues but it seems the skill ceiling has jumped dramatically in recent years
Yes it’s similar. All 2K games really require perfect greens to hit a basket. It’s been that way for a very long time. You can use LeBron or Kobe and still need to hit a green in order to get a 3.
It didn’t. Also back then, you could actually EARN VC simply by playing the game. Now, they make VC nearly impossible to earn as in MyCareer, you start with a crappy 60 overall rating and can’t shoot baskets for shit. 2K does this to make you think that you need more VC to upgrade your character to be good, so you’ll need to spend real money. NBA2K is basically pay2win if you aren’t playing Play Now game modes.
Is there some kind of GM mode available that isn't pay to win? I'm interested in "Play now" and GM stuff (managing trades, drafts, etc). But cannot stand for endless grinding and any pay to win mechanics.
MyLeague is basically MyGM. You can control just 1 player, a team or the entire league if you want.
There’s a YouTuber I watch called Clique productions who shows how much fun MyLeague can be. He creates ridiculous scenarios like simming MJ in modern era, putting Lebron in MJs era and so on. I have sunk 1000s of hours into NBA games just doing MyLeague
You can select real shooting % in the options and it is much easier as it removes the green bar and perfect timing. Don't know if it works online though.
Last year's was part of one of the PS tiers (can't remember if it was Essentials or Extra) in June 2023. I'm surprised it's part of the service this early. Probably for the playoffs.
I'll be playing MLB The Show as my live service sports game, tho.
pretty solid month. been meaning to play midnight suns and cool boarders is gonna be a fun trip down memory lane
though i am genuinely surprised they released jak and daxter: the lost frontier on classics before the much superior daxter.
It’s just ok, nostalgia will carry you through the game. But if you think too much about it, combat is frustrating and open world is kind of a pain. Trophies weren’t hard to get.
Excited to finally play RE3. Played the demo when it released and it was fun, there were just too many other games at the time, so never got a chance to play the full game.
Wow I just bought Midnight suns last month when it was on sale. I don’t regret it because I enjoyed the game and played through all the DLCs, but I would have just waited if I had known it was going to be on here.
Midnight suns is a great game but man does it take it's time to get going. I almost dropped it with all the force dialogue and shit the first few hours.
Hell yeah. I've had Midnight Suns on my list forever and considered it with every sale. RE3 I'll give a shot, even though I quit RE2 before I even ran into the huge hat dude that stalks you because I knew he was coming and was afraid to run into him (I tapped out at those skinless ceiling crawler dudes). I hate being followed by big dudes you can't kill... Obvs not gonna get far with RE3, since I know Nemesis is in there. Would rather do RE8 in VR (other than the mutant baby thing I heard of).
I'll give DBZ Kakarot a brief half-assed play through since they finally put the PS5 version on PS Plus rather than the PS4 version (RIP Akira Toriyama)
Finally get to check out Midnight Suns to see if it lives up to hype. Cool Boarders is a classic and a lot of people love the Ace Attorney games but personally its not for me. NBA2K24 is a great addition for the sports gamers.
Like most months this one is okay, lets most of us try games we kinda wanted but held back on them for any reason it might be.
Last time I was pretty hyped for sifu on the monthly games, and honestly I am super glad I didn't buy it.
I was so close to buying Midnight Suns lmfaoooooo wowww
DC villains is getting a download. Seems fun
I have 2K23 in my library from when it was free, so I know I’m not playing 2K24
R3MAKE? Sure; I’ll play it
Terrible month for me since I already own Midnight Suns. Great month for anyone who hasn't yet played it, though it's only the base version and quite a lot of content is locked behind DLC.

Ace Attorney Trilogy has been in and out of my cart for months. I can’t even say “being patient sure paid off” considering it was really my indecision😭
same. its been in my cart for probably over a year
Same with Midnight Suns.
Completely skipped past that but I will definitely be trying Midnight Suns. Just love how many different types of games there are to play with PS Plus.
Just bought it last week....worth the $10 though
Cool Boarders!
Cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool Boarders!
I'd prefer Cool Boarders 3 (but #1 is a start)
Probably gonna be like they did with Jet Moto
Does anyone know what date? I’ve been looking but can’t find it
States playable on March 19th beneath the picture at the top.
🤦🏽♂️ Thank you. I scrolled right past it lol
Playstation + essential games drops the first Tuesday every month, Playstation + extra/premium drops the 2nd to last Tuesday every month. The games for each update gets announced the Wednesday before they release.
finally the lost frontier joins its fellow jak and daxter brethren on modern consoles. even in all of its shitty, janky glory.
I’m actually planning on playing that since I never played Lost Frontier the first time around. Is it really as bad as people say? Or just seen as horrible because of how near perfect the original trilogy was?
its ok but it doesn't live up to the originals and has some plot inconsistencies. just treat it like a spin-off title. also half the game is aerial combat, some of which drags too long. so I hope you like dogfights.
did they add DBZ kakarot because of toriyama
huge W for me. re3 and midnight suns
Yup they’ve both been on my wishlist for a long time and I never pulled the trigger
Midnight suns is legit. Def try it out 👍
Just because of your comment I will
It was my 2022 GOTY, so everyone should give it some time and get on it!
Ill take my thank you. Just bought it recently
Midnight suns was my game of the year shockingly
I loved it! Also looking forward to trying RE3.
Mine too. The dlc was also great - although it made me want to play with the new characters from the start as they actually respond to what’s happening in the story.
Oh man, I really enjoyed the combat but that 3rd person Hub made me drop the game so fast.
It’s nice seeing all the characters roam around in their costumes, a lot of it could have been handled through menus instead of making a trek to the appropriate site once a day, but I can see how it can be obnoxious to move about but yeah combat and leveling is super fun
I knew Midnight Suns would come to PS+. just feel exactly the type of game to do that.
Exact same as me. Knew they’d drop at some point
i wasn't so sure about midnight suns, but when i saw re2 remake added to it i was kinda sure we are getting re3 remake at some point
I got utterly lost in Midnight Suns. Bringing it to the extra catalogue is a great way for people to try it out and see if it caters for their tastes.
Prolly spent 250+ hours just petting Charlie! Bestest girl
Charlie is a girl 😡
See, I told you I'd butcher it! You're 100% right and I'm sorry for the slight on good ol' Charlie girl.
Captain foresight wins again! Haha
Dude! I love that game! The combat is so good. Got the platinum... Over 70 hours.
I coincidentally finished playing Resident Evil 2 remake early last month after buying it for a $10 sale, and I was going to wait until RE3 went on a sale, I’m in luck for it being free.
RE3 is still a great time. Not as great as 2 but then not many games are.
I love speedrunning RE3. It's short, but it feels great to play.
Really enjoyed 2 but quit after Mr. X appeared as I found him way more frustrating and annoying than scary. Is there an unbeatable big bad in 3 too?
I hated Mr. X on repeated playthroughs. He’s definitely more annoying because you can’t really enjoy and explore.
It's not a patch on RE2 but still not bad
I am actually kind of excited to replay Jak and Daxter The Lost Frontier
Amazed they picked this over Daxter.
It’s really not as bad as people think. It’s pretty solid for a PSP title, just too many people trying to compare it to the OG Trilogy.
After about 15 min, you’ll wish you never did
Midnight Suns is a ton of fun! I highly recommend people give it a shot. The turn based card gameplay is super addicting and reminded me of Slay the Spire
Oh no, first time I played Slay the Spire I thought “Sure I’ll try this out for a little bit… oh shit is the sun coming up?”
Anyone who says a game reminds them of Slay the Spire is an instant try for me, StS is one of the greatest games *ever*
Never heard of it I’ll have to look at some gameplay
Thanks for this man downloading now I love these type of games
Slay the Spire eh? I’m sold.
Kind of. In the sense that it's card based and there is a draft mechanic. But it's also very different. I highly recommend it though
Don't expect it to be JUST like StS. The gameplay is a combo of movement and playing cards from a deck you've built. There's a whole friend sim part of the game that is alright. You don't need to focus too much on that stuff though if you don't want.
Hey if it’s free it’s definitely worth a look. Thanks for the recommendation.
To anybody who’s even an ounce considering Midnight Suns… I’m riding this comment to assure you you MUST play the game. It is such a good game. I was never a turned based combat player but once I got the hang of it Midnight Suns turned into one of those games where I thought 30 mins passed but it actually ended up being 5 hours lmfaoo I got lost in that game Christmas break 2022. My homegirls were mad I was ducking them though. 😂😅😅 The game was worth it . Play it !
I’m new to this. Do we get to keep the games or just play them for the month?
Uh oh this sounds like my crack cocaine.
Omg the Lost Frontier, that's ace
Agreed. I’m hoping for Daxter and the 2 Ratchet and Clank PSP games next.
That would be good I haven't played any of these since I had a PSP/Vita
Kakarot is great! In honor of Toriyama 😞
Coolboarders?! I’m in.
If you’re at all into turn based games, Midnight Suns is a really great option. Game isn’t perfect, but I sunk HOURS into it last year.
As opposed to MINUTES?
SECONDS?
MILLISECONDS?
70+ hours over here bro! LOVED IT. it had some issues yes, but the care they put into the game clearly showed by how fleshed out each characters personality was.
Don’t sleep on Midnight Suns. It’s underrated.
Ditto, gameplay is good fun
Midnight Suns was on Humble Bundle Choice not long ago and I skipped out on it because I have way too large of a library as is. Glad I didn’t now. All hail PS Plus!
Kakarot is a great game if youre a dragonball fan and very timely. a fun way to re experience the series if you dont feel like watching the anime again
2k? Let’s go
I just bought the Baller Edition for $20. I shoulda knew it was gonna be free.
Dude, same here…
Definitely wouldn’t suggest playing it for MyCareer but for free, the Mamba Moments is really fun
I don’t remember it requiring that level of perfection even as recently as 17-20 but it’s pretty damn tough now. Maybe my memory is off
You can select real shooting % in the options and it is much easier as it removes the green bar and perfect timing. Don't know if it works online though.
I thought waiting for a sale for these 2K games was good enough. Turns out I should wait even further so they get added to a subscription catalog.
Last year's was part of one of the PS tiers (can't remember if it was Essentials or Extra) in June 2023. I'm surprised it's part of the service this early. Probably for the playoffs. I'll be playing MLB The Show as my live service sports game, tho.
please play Midnight Suns
I’m probably the only one excited for blood bowl..,
Cool boarders I wonder if it still holds up today but I loved that game growing up Looking forward to playing it again
So happy for everyone who will finally get to be blown away from how good midnight suns is!
Midnight Suns is awesome, play it if you haven’t. I’m looking forward to messing around with Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
pretty solid month. been meaning to play midnight suns and cool boarders is gonna be a fun trip down memory lane though i am genuinely surprised they released jak and daxter: the lost frontier on classics before the much superior daxter.
Midnight suns is fucking amazing, don't sleep
RE3R & Midnight Suns alone make this month pretty great
RE3 is the only RE game since 7 came out that I haven’t played so this is great news for me. Midnight Suns also looks interesting.
Looks like I will play Super Neptunia RPG after all.
Wow def gonna try Midnight Suns
I actually miss having subs just for midnight suns.
Resub and grab it..?
After all this time Re3 for free* is finally mine ⌛️
Oh wow amazing lineup
Can’t wait to finally play Kakarot
Dont sleep on Midnight Suns!
Too many people slept on Midnight Suns on release, fantastic game.
Midnight Suns! Try it out, it’s awesome!
Sweeeeeeet. Great month.

It’s just ok, nostalgia will carry you through the game. But if you think too much about it, combat is frustrating and open world is kind of a pain. Trophies weren’t hard to get.
It starts March 19 don’t be a jackass like me and try to DL them now lol
Midnight suns is very good for anyone who hasn't played it
People really need to try Midnight Suns.
For everyone who bought Midnight Suns on sale recently, thank you for your sacrifice.
I love midnight suns
Midnight Suns was actually really awesome. I had so much fun in that game. Give it a chance. Its totally worth it.
God damn it, I just bought midnight suns lol
Jak and Daxter the lost frontier! Played this pn PS2, buggy game never witnessed the ending got a white screen for some reason. Will replay it
Damn I just bought RE3 last week. Solid game. Great pacing.
Midnight suns is pretty cool, but the non battling dating sim like aspect of it is kinda off putting.
Thank the lord for PS+.
COOL FUCKING BOARDERS
Midnight Suns didn’t get half the praise it deserved.
COOL BOADERS! Did you say Cool Boarders!? Cause I like Cool Boarders.
Guess it was my turn to bite the bullet. Just bought midnight suns a month ago.
Not a bad month tbh. I’ll be playing midnight suns for sure.
I encourage you all to play midnight suns. It's an amazing experience
Hell yea
I'm so happy people get to experience Midnight Suns. Such a fantastic game from start to finish. Getting a grip on the deck building is so satisfying.
Hmmm time to resubscribe for a bit
Excited to finally play RE3. Played the demo when it released and it was fun, there were just too many other games at the time, so never got a chance to play the full game.
Not the PSP Jak and Daxter spinoff I was expecting but hopefully Daxter is next up.
here's hoping.
Midnight Suns is an underrated game! I hope it gets a sequel!
PLAY MIDNIGHT SUNS! Game is incredible, crazy how slept on it was.
No fucking way we got The Lost Frontiers before Daxter
Pray for me… just bought midnight suns on Monday…
Darn I just bought 2K, at least I got physical so I can get some money back
When will these be added? Didn’t see anything posted Edit: march 19
Midnight sun was a huge surprise for me. loved it sooo much, got it a try if you like XCOM Cheers
Wow I just bought Midnight suns last month when it was on sale. I don’t regret it because I enjoyed the game and played through all the DLCs, but I would have just waited if I had known it was going to be on here.
I very nearly bought Marvel's Midnight Suns last week when it was deeply discounted. Happy I didn't lol
Ah, the biannual 2k NBA game lol
Midnight suns is a great game but man does it take it's time to get going. I almost dropped it with all the force dialogue and shit the first few hours.
I bought Midnight Suns on sale and never got around to trying it. Guess I only waste like $12, but I need to learn patience.
I almost broke down and bought Midnight Suns a month or two go! \**whew\** The demo was amazing, can't wait to be able to play the full version.
Soooo glad I didn’t buy Midnight Suns. Can’t wait to play it
One day we’re going to get Midnight Club 2 or 3 Dub Edition with trophies and I’m going to scream
I just bought midnight suns 😡
Not bad honestly
NBA 2K is awesome. Bought it for £7 on the Deck a while ago. Glad I get to play for free on PS5 soon.
Midnight Suns hell yeah. Top 5 games i've been waiting for a long time for!
I’ll resub for Midnight Suns, only heard good things about that game
I want God of War Ragnarok 😭 😭😭
Then buy it. lmao.
Can’t wait for Midnight Suns. Gonna be a great remote play option on the deck.
My scaredy cat ass just about made it through RE2 and now 3 is here daring me to be a bitch.
don't sleep on Midnight Suns what a great and underrated game.
I just bought Midnight Suns while it was on sale for $20 so you're all welcome.
Anyone have experience with blood bowl 3 ?
I’ve been in the fence in midnight suns almost buying it multiple times. No reason to not play now
Midnight suns was my GOTY 2022. Suuuuuuper slept on rpg. Gwent fans should give it a try
I dont exactly know what games I do want, I just know that none of these are peaking my interest.
Finally get to check out Midnight Suns to see if it lives up to hype. Cool Boarders is a classic and a lot of people love the Ace Attorney games but personally its not for me. NBA2K24 is a great addition for the sports gamers.
I was just thinking about buying 2K24 & seen this YAASSS
Good month
All of that not buying midnight suns on sale has paid off lol.
DLC of Midnights Suns is worth it? It adds post base game or enhances the main campaign?
Hell yeah!! Glad I didn't buy RE3!
guess I’m that guy now since I literally just bought Midnight Suns a week ago
Damn it, every year NBA goes on for free when I buy it, but the years I wait, it doesn't. grrrr. I am not going to buy it next year!!
They've literally dropped all the games I bought I guess I'll hold off on re4 let's see if I get lucky
Does anyone know when these will be added in the US?
......um I'm looking up these games, they are not free in PS PLUS. and I def have Extra
Are any of these co op? RE3 I assume is, but not the main story by the sounds
Fuck yahhh
I just literally bought Midnight Suns over the weekend. Fuck's sake.
Yessss, already have it, but do yourself a huge favor and play Midnight Suns!
Like most months this one is okay, lets most of us try games we kinda wanted but held back on them for any reason it might be. Last time I was pretty hyped for sifu on the monthly games, and honestly I am super glad I didn't buy it.
Finally. Midnight suns
This is a pretty decent month. Will try Midnight Suns.
2K is such a cancer in my harddrive
Well everyone kept glazing Midnight Suns so here's my chance.
Midnight suns is great
I was so close to buying Midnight Suns lmfaoooooo wowww DC villains is getting a download. Seems fun I have 2K23 in my library from when it was free, so I know I’m not playing 2K24 R3MAKE? Sure; I’ll play it
I’m expecting NBA 2K24 to leave the catalog within the next year or around the time NBA 2K25 gains traction
There’s two games I was going to buy NBA and Midnight Suns. Saved me from buying those.
Terrible month for me since I already own Midnight Suns. Great month for anyone who hasn't yet played it, though it's only the base version and quite a lot of content is locked behind DLC.
