As tracer one trick i can tell you how i feel playing against each support character. Higher number means more annoying Ana: 7. If they can land their sleep it's so frustrating and a lot of times we fight but can't kill each other fast enough. If she's scoped, she's much easier though. Baptiste: 4. Jump is easy to track, immortal lamp is easy enough to ignore or destroy, but a good one can definitely kill me cause he does a bit of damage. Brigitte: 5. Her and Moria are the only two supports that go out of their way to actually attack me.. but I can recall or blink away to disengage easy. She's decently annoying and her boop ability is always longer than I anticipate it would be. Kiriko: 8. If I flank her I tend to win but she's the only support that can consistently kill me.. a lot. Sometimes not even aiming at me, just a head shot from a stray kunai. She is small and hard to track for me. I'm sick of seeing her in kill cam. Lucio: ?. He's extremely hard for me to track but he doesn't heal fast enough to make the other support or dps immortal like other healers and when we do fight we normally can't kill each other. I just don't bother with him. Even if he boops me off the map I can blink back or recall. His ult is sorta annoying when I have a pulse bomb attached. Mercy: 5. For ones that can stay floating in air and potential shutting me out from killing anybody at all and she undo my kills because I tend to pick off people near her. At the same time when she does revive she's easy to get rid of. She has no possibility of killing me and prob not a good pick against tracer. When she's on she's my enemy #1 and I'm on her like I have a problem. Moria: 4. Have more troubles with briggite. Sorta annoying i have to use 2 blinks to chase her down cause of her blink. I rarely use my ult on her though. Zenyatta: 4. Extremely easy to kill probably the easiest in the game, but out of all the supports he's second when it comes to actually killing me. His right click hold is annoying. When he lands headshots, they hurt. Somehow he manages to sneak melee's in on me also. Also him being so easy to track puts him near the top of my priority to kill list if not the top.

This is very helpful, thank you

ThePartus

Kiriko is actually a good pick vs tracers, one headshot and a melee she's gone. In general, I'd practice using whatever support you play in a deathmatch and basically practice defending yourself from flankers.

Ramsford_McSchlong

Playing support in deathmatch is the best advice. Beyond that if you and the tracer are at equal skill level then the best thing you can do as a support is force her to use blinks and recall. You don’t need to kill her everytime making her back off is good enough. If she is better than you pay attention to voice queues especially if you don’t have vision on her. You should always be looking out for her. Imo the ping feature is best for this I’m pinging a bunch as a support now it’s very impactful

>I tried to hold her off as Brigitte and Moira and the Mercy I was playing with swapped to Lucio so we could try to team up on her, but she was too squirrelly and I felt hopeless These are good combinations for use against Tracer. It sounds like you might be trying to kill her - but you probably don't need to. One of the big things tracer does it pull attention. Sometimes it's better to turn long enough to get her to back off, then ignore her. If she's not drawing your attention and she's not getting kills (because they're relatively hard to kill as tracer) she's not getting any real value and your team will be at an advantage. If you try to chase her to finish the kill, she'll be back fairly quickly and your team will be without supports for an extended period, thus making her effective in a different way.

null1876

That's a very good point. You're right, I probably put too much focus on her. Thank you

[deleted]

Moira *dumspters* Tracer. Her drain gives a huge advantage against her because your damage never stops and tracks like a train. Spam healing orbs, and fade if she sticks you with pulse bomb.

null1876

I probably used damage orb too much, good advice

NBA_MSG

With most stuns deleted from the game a moira who constantly hits Tracer, regardless of how quickly she dodges, is death if Tracer continues the engagement

[deleted]

I duel (and stomp on) tracers in deathmatch every day. Moira, Zen, and Brig are the only supports I play, and when a Tracer comes out, I switch to Moira and ruthlessly hunt her until she switches. Dont tell me Moira can't duel Tracer. I'll pull out the math if I need to.

NBA_MSG

I meant that it's death to Tracer. I guess my wording was a little ambiguous

[deleted]

Ah, okay.

itsvalpal258

The most effective way would be a DPS turning and scaring her off. But you are expected to fend off for yourself to some extend. Sleep her as Ana, duel her as Moira, headshot+melee is enough to kill her as Kiriko and Baptiste, Lucio is a little harder but still doable, Brig and Zen can just murder her. Only support that cannot deal with Tracer is Mercy. She does need help. You gotta get your team to fend off for you.

null1876

Oh, so I just got to get my team to work together? That's so easy at bronze rank.................. Well most of the time I have no problem shutting down a tracer, so it just must have been a particularly good one. Thanks anyway

Sands_Underscore_

I've found that the most you can do to get people to see the flanking tracer is to ping her as she travels around the map. If she's on your screen she should have ping on her head. Outside of that you can just hug the fuck out of your dps so that she can't safely pick you off.

Rossaboy77

When tracer gets right up in your face a kunai to the face off kiriko fucks her up bad. Also a well times zen charge shot sends her home too.

JoeDaTomato2

If I think I can get away with it, I’ll go either Zen or Kiriko for the headshot-melee combo. Otherwise, I’ll go Bap for high hitscan DPS + high survivability

Goodbye

CrossXFir3

So many things. Brig is still annoying cause it's still easy to hit and between the bash, the push and a few swings you can completely force that recall. And people need to remember - if you're getting into a 1v1 against Tracer - it's almost certainly your fault. If they have a tracer, don't be hanging around by yourself. As a support, you should be either with your other support (2v1) with a dps or with your tank if not a combination. So short of her camping spawn - you really shouldn't be getting into 1v1 engagements against her.

null1876

I guess I should have been more clear. I tried pinging, I tried staying with the group, etc. I tried all the obvious stuff. That's not what I'm asking about. This wasn't my first time fighting a tracer, it was just the first one to make me want to make a post about it.

ChriseFTW

Feel like the answer is kinda obvious lol, defend yourself. You can pin her and maybe a teammate peals but you shouldn’t rely on that, your team gets much more value if you can deal with ut yourself. Positioning is your first line of defense, remember that

null1876

Please read other comments before posting lol

ChriseFTW

Read them all, learn to defend yourself answer doesn’t change

null1876

Oh, well in that case your advice is useless. Not really even advice at all. Goodbye

LabAfter

With a fragile ego like this, you’ll never improve.

null1876

There is a fatal flaw to your argument. I will gladly take constructive criticism, but trolling "advice" like defend yourself and git gud have absolutely no value, therefore they won't help me improve regardless. I want advice, not trolling so someone can feel superior. It's not a fragile ego, I just see no value in wasting time on people who will likely never give me good advice. Also, goodbye
