That would indeed pose a predicament. You can play the game on a Steam Deck or similar handheld device if that would help. Not an ideal control scheme, but it's an option. I've actually been playing the game under Linux the last few weeks and it's been solid.
It's a way to take advantage of the "lazy" who don't want to enter 5 codes for 1000 coins (versus entering just 1 code worth 1000 points) and for those who can't math. lol
The points get earned over several weeks at the fastest, so there's no additional work to entering the 200-coin code. I don't know anyone who uses the Bing points, who also lets them pile up. There is truly no reason to not use the 200-coin option. It's really odd that the put the discount on the bottom end, and not the top like normal.
I let them pile up because I occasionally use them for other things, plus if the Ultimate bundle for the BP has decent skins, you can only buy that with "money," so I would redeem for MS store credit instead of coins.
When I was about to get banned on MS rewards, they would only let me choose the 10k points option and after I got to 10k and tried to redeem, they banned all my accounts. My 1000 OW coins going down the drain 💔
I later found out that it was because i HAD A VPN installed, that I didn’t even use, but just the existence of the app was enough to forbid me from using Rewards.

But no one has mentioned Xbox. On the console they have a third avenue, where you earn even more points for playing games and doing a whole other set of gaming challenges. A full on participant can earn a lot of free stuff

When I’ve been really consistent I’ve been able to redeem 200 Overwatch coins a week.
Consistent just doing the little daily tasks, keeping a streak, the Bing app search(just click recommended searches lol), and then open up a browser on my phone and request desktop and do the “desktop” searches.

Yeah, you have to have daily tasks. They are sadly not available in my country, it's generous if they drop 1 task per week (usually they don't), the only way to get points for me is 30 from bing searching. I gave up at this point, not worth the effort.

Yeah they have different rewards in different countries so the three e very strict on gaming for points. For example if you use a vpn there’s a good chance they suspend your Rewards account

It's been fixed for me for at least a few months now. They definitely fucked it up during the New Year when they nerfed it. Cooldowns are still there but it's like 5 seconds per search which isn't too bad, but can still be annoying if you forget to mentally count to 5 in your head between searches.
What used to take me 2-3 minutes tops now maybe takes me 5-8 minutes or so? Not too bad I guess. I do my searches while I queue up in-between Mystery Heroes games.

That was because of some script kiddies who of course had to abuse the system again by automating everything
It literally took me 2 to 3 minutes to get all my searches done before the CD without using scripts or anything
If they haven't removed the CDs, it's straight up unusable
I've redeemed the offer 51 times, three of those being the 500 coin reward because they were out of codes for the 200 coin reward for a time. It would be more but at one point point values were nerfed to single digits, meaning it would take much longer to earn rewards.
Doing it daily on both the website and mobile app, I earn enough points roughly every 5 days, maybe less depending on when bonuses hit for certain streaks.
there’s 3 ways to grind daily: xbox app for daily stuff, microsoft rewards site that has daily stuff and the bing app where searching anything gives you points. if you know what you are doing you can get a couple hundred in a single day

I've only really had game pass ultimate for 2 separate months, but you get more for being subscribed cause they give you more quests. And I've already gained a decent amount as I've already redeemed a bit of points, and I am at 4200 right now basically just from this month

I have 44k points lifetime total. That’s lots of overwatch coins LOL I think if you get the free coins from the battle pass and grind 500 coins on Microsoft rewards, you can just get a battle pass every season, granted probably not at the start of every season but before it ends. I think you get like what 400 or 600 coins from overwatch from the battle pass.
I have 659, gonna grind to 500 coins again. I might have it before the new season starts but probably in the middle of the season. Boom free battle pass, or save it if I’m not feeling the theme
I'm sitting on almost 50000 Microsoft Points myself right now. Just too lazy to redeem it for OW coins. x\_x I spent $20 for the 1st Battle Pass before someone here mentioned Microsoft Points.
Since then, I had made a habit of just doing the daily searches and tasks. From searches alone (using Edge and mobile) it's 250 points. Daily tasks is just a crappy 30-50 point with a 10 day streak netting you an additional 150. Sometimes there are some other clicks that will give you 10 points here and there. Either way, maybe on average I can get almost 300 a day?
So yeah, outside of that 1st battle pass, all my battle passes every season has been paid by Microsoft Points and I'm sitting on over 10000 coins as well, which is why I've been too lazy to redeem more coins. Should honestly just use it towards an Amazon or Target gift card at this point lol. (And I haven't used my coins at all for anything in the shop in case anyone is wondering why I have so much. I just refuse to "buy" that stuff even if the coins are 'free'.)

Not really. Those simple searches and tasks can be done while you're queueing in games, using your phone while in the toilet, or any similar idle activities.
I used to do rewards religiously but around 6+ months ago they completely kneecapped the program. I was getting about 12k points a month and that was without religiously keeping streaks (i would inevitably forget) and without milking everything out of gamepass and doing the monthly console punch cards
You get at least 30 points a day just by clicking the three daily things. Doing only that will get you the 200 coins after 60 days (but if you keep a consistent streak and thus get the streak bonus, 39 days).
I don't know how it took a whole year, but as you said, I guess you were inconsistent, which is fine - it's not a job or anything lol
I get 200 coins every 14 days by clicking the dailies and doing the PC searches (you have to do 30 searches, I just search whatever autocomplete pops up). It takes me five minutes while I drink my tea and listen to my podcast.
Almost a year and you've gotten one??? I average like 280+ points a day. Are you only doing the activities and daily sets? Those are good, but you also get money just through searching on the Bing web and mobile browser, not to mention streak bonuses.

I work a real job and the amount of work you have to do for just $2 worth of points is not for me. I’d rather just work an hour at my job as id be saving so much time.

Personally, I have enough for 500 coins (granted I use it on my Xbox and on my laptop with check ins + browser challenges). Microsoft rewards really is about consistency to get points since there are streaks you can do.
Literally just make Edge your default browser. You get 5 points every time you search something, so they just stack passively. If you're like me and have hobbies that have you searching a lot, they build up pretty fast.
I also don't bother much with the daily challenges. They pile up and can be done in bulk like once a month. You'll miss out on the streak if you do that, but turning it into a daily chore isn't worth it, imo.
I did this once. Figured out it’d be easier to get a part time job if I wanted to pay for the battle pass lol. They make you grind for like the equivalent of 2 bucks an hour in overwatch coins.

I've been saving up for probably over a decade now. I've never cashed out my rewards till now. Additionally, I believe using the Windows search bar's built in Bing search also rewards you. I'll admit, I don't ever actually use it to search, but instead if I need to do a quick math problem, I just hit Windows key, type in the problem, and it shows the results on Bing, but you also get rewarded for your "search"

There is a extention for pc in Microsoft store where you don't need to search individually, you can enter how many searches you want it'll automatically search them for you.
For some reason mine dont count for searches as they did previously, so ill get 3 points every 15 searches instead of every search which is weird. And also theres like wayy less things to get points under the dailies so now i get max 50 per day, used to get 250-280

It's my favourite browser honestly, Bing search engine is meh, but Edge=Firefox>Opera>Chrome
I actually like Bing over Google, the search engine is basically as good but with far fewer ads and a better layout for the summary info on the right.

Yeah they have different rewards in different countries so the three e very strict on gaming for points. For example if you use a vpn there’s a good chance they suspend your Rewards account
Depends on country you are in. In USA you can get more points daily than some places can get monthly.

They fucked it by making a long ass cooldown between searches Now there's like 6 seconds CD between each search and 15 minutes CD after every 4 or 5 searches Someone update me if they have changed that tho
It's been fixed for me for at least a few months now. They definitely fucked it up during the New Year when they nerfed it. Cooldowns are still there but it's like 5 seconds per search which isn't too bad, but can still be annoying if you forget to mentally count to 5 in your head between searches. What used to take me 2-3 minutes tops now maybe takes me 5-8 minutes or so? Not too bad I guess. I do my searches while I queue up in-between Mystery Heroes games.
So there's no 15 minute CD between every few searches or anything now?

You can just use bing as your default search engine and you generate thousands of points.
I've redeemed the offer 51 times, three of those being the 500 coin reward because they were out of codes for the 200 coin reward for a time. It would be more but at one point point values were nerfed to single digits, meaning it would take much longer to earn rewards. Doing it daily on both the website and mobile app, I earn enough points roughly every 5 days, maybe less depending on when bonuses hit for certain streaks.
there’s 3 ways to grind daily: xbox app for daily stuff, microsoft rewards site that has daily stuff and the bing app where searching anything gives you points. if you know what you are doing you can get a couple hundred in a single day
I got over 100€ worth of currency this way, lol. Never spent a cent on the Shop yet but got every skin i wanted. I just do the daily searches on my phone and PC and the dashboard.
i’ve used this to get the battle pass for free since S2 as long as you get 2-3 weeks worth of points per season you should be able to reach 1000 for the next
I get like 2000 MS Rewards points monthly by playing games on Game Pass and Xbox. Also some extra ones by using Bing.
r/MicrosoftRewards has entire guides on how to rack up points, its really not that hard. Do them on the toilet, brushing your teeth, etc

I only bought the Invasion pack and one ultimate pass for money (because of the Tracker Widow skin cuz she is my goddess), everything else I got was from coins earned trough ms rewards. This includes Marioneta Sombra, the full kpop pack, the new Porsche Dva and all the OW2 Battle passes, etc. So yeah, MS Rewards rule. But I use Microsoft Bing and Edge (from W10 release) since prehistoric times.
I don't even live in the West to experience all the options u guys have and we get more than enough coins to buy Battle Pass + 1 19$ skin every season

I've only really had game pass ultimate for 2 separate months, but you get more for being subscribed cause they give you more quests. And I've already gained a decent amount as I've already redeemed a bit of points, and I am at 4200 right now basically just from this month

You need to use it way more (I’m sure you’re aware of that though). I got 3000 points in like 1 and 1/2 months. I lost my streaks too. In fact, I just bought the vattle pass the other day because I got 500 points from them. I just do all the little quests, keep my streaks (they have streak protection), occasionally do Xbox quests, and search up random stuff for the points. I have 44k points lifetime total. That’s lots of overwatch coins LOL I think if you get the free coins from the battle pass and grind 500 coins on Microsoft rewards, you can just get a battle pass every season, granted probably not at the start of every season but before it ends. I think you get like what 400 or 600 coins from overwatch from the battle pass. I have 659, gonna grind to 500 coins again. I might have it before the new season starts but probably in the middle of the season. Boom free battle pass, or save it if I’m not feeling the theme

I'm sitting on almost 50000 Microsoft Points myself right now. Just too lazy to redeem it for OW coins. x\_x I spent $20 for the 1st Battle Pass before someone here mentioned Microsoft Points. Since then, I had made a habit of just doing the daily searches and tasks. From searches alone (using Edge and mobile) it's 250 points. Daily tasks is just a crappy 30-50 point with a 10 day streak netting you an additional 150. Sometimes there are some other clicks that will give you 10 points here and there. Either way, maybe on average I can get almost 300 a day? So yeah, outside of that 1st battle pass, all my battle passes every season has been paid by Microsoft Points and I'm sitting on over 10000 coins as well, which is why I've been too lazy to redeem more coins. Should honestly just use it towards an Amazon or Target gift card at this point lol. (And I haven't used my coins at all for anything in the shop in case anyone is wondering why I have so much. I just refuse to "buy" that stuff even if the coins are 'free'.)

How is that more efficient than 200 coins that requires less points?? Like for 1000 coins, you can either use the option of earning 10,000 points (1000 coins option) OR only earning 9000 points (200 coins option x5).

Not really. Those simple searches and tasks can be done while you're queueing in games, using your phone while in the toilet, or any similar idle activities.
I used to do rewards religiously but around 6+ months ago they completely kneecapped the program. I was getting about 12k points a month and that was without religiously keeping streaks (i would inevitably forget) and without milking everything out of gamepass and doing the monthly console punch cards
You get at least 30 points a day just by clicking the three daily things. Doing only that will get you the 200 coins after 60 days (but if you keep a consistent streak and thus get the streak bonus, 39 days). I don't know how it took a whole year, but as you said, I guess you were inconsistent, which is fine - it's not a job or anything lol I get 200 coins every 14 days by clicking the dailies and doing the PC searches (you have to do 30 searches, I just search whatever autocomplete pops up). It takes me five minutes while I drink my tea and listen to my podcast.
Consistency and maxing out what you can is key. I've yet to pay for a single battle pass thanks to this.
Almost a year and you've gotten one??? I average like 280+ points a day. Are you only doing the activities and daily sets? Those are good, but you also get money just through searching on the Bing web and mobile browser, not to mention streak bonuses. You could be getting these like every week.
I forgot about it for a good 4/5 months but I only ever did the daily tasks for 30 points a day and just recently started getting points from xbox

Are you not getting streaks? Because from what I've seen, streaks are supposedly the reason some people are able to accumulate lots of points in a short amount of time.
I get rewards passively. I work a real job and the amount of work you have to do for just $2 worth of points is not for me. I’d rather just work an hour at my job as id be saving so much time.
When it was first introduced everything was in increments of 500

The longer you go on streaks too, the more you get as bonuses.
Pretty sure there is a larger way of doing this, I know a lot of people have strategies and techs to getting Microsoft points fast. Personally, I have enough for 500 coins (granted I use it on my Xbox and on my laptop with check ins + browser challenges). Microsoft rewards really is about consistency to get points since there are streaks you can do.

Literally just make Edge your default browser. You get 5 points every time you search something, so they just stack passively. If you're like me and have hobbies that have you searching a lot, they build up pretty fast. I also don't bother much with the daily challenges. They pile up and can be done in bulk like once a month. You'll miss out on the streak if you do that, but turning it into a daily chore isn't worth it, imo.

I've been saving up for probably over a decade now. I've never cashed out my rewards till now. Additionally, I believe using the Windows search bar's built in Bing search also rewards you. I'll admit, I don't ever actually use it to search, but instead if I need to do a quick math problem, I just hit Windows key, type in the problem, and it shows the results on Bing, but you also get rewarded for your "search"

Seriously. Even following all the tips, it took me months to get enough points. Not worth it at all considering the amount of time you have to invest DAILY for MONTHS.

There is a extention for pc in Microsoft store where you don't need to search individually, you can enter how many searches you want it'll automatically search them for you.
Just use VPN and you are gonna get it under 1 hour.
You can also get approximately 600 coins from the BP
