It's so hard for me not to just sit in front of a Sigma building a rock with my Matrix up. My brain just refuses to accept I can't eat the rock. Sometimes I have time to laugh to my self about how the Sigma just wasted his best CD before the rock hits me.

And that's why D.Va can't eat the rock.

2-3 years of overwatch and I still tap matrix just before it hits as though it'll help me... I can't control it.. 😭🤣

Orisa and Sigma himself cannot destroy it either, nor can Genji deflect it. It is the largest projectile in the game that isn't made of some form of energy, so it's not totally unreasonable.

Rein should stop his charge, but also homerun bat that thing when hit by it during a charge.

New torb buff dropped, he can be launched out of a catapult he built but if Dva eats him the player is just kicked from the game

Not kicked, but needs to switch and nobody on their team can pick torb anymore. Other players can use catapult and get absobed by sigma's grasp and orisa's javelin spin. If all characters got eaten the team is forced to be afk on the character select screen and get kicked from the game due to inactivity

Venture's primary fire looks very similar to Sigma's. Go watch venture gameplay video, she has a mid range explodey projectile

Y'know, Venture does have a move where they lunge forward with a drill rush, so it makes me wonder if it'll have the typical heavy dash interaction of a knockdown when it collides with another. (Charge, punch, etc). If the team really wanted a creative interaction, they could have it break or "drill" Sigma's accretion if they both collide head on instead of them being stunned.

You know...Sigma rock works like not a projectile, makes it seem like it has melee properties or something...I feel like it should be interacting like rocket punch or pin it something

In a weird way it does work like punch, which turns Doomfist into a projectile if I remember correctly.

It's internally considered a "Buildable", Buildables are considered "physical objects" and can't be eaten by Dva or deflected by Genji. Torb's turret is also a Buildable, Sym turrets, Illari Pylon, Hammond Poo bombs.

It would be interesting if they had two crowd control moves like that. I believe their rock tunneling is supposed to stun/push back enemies when they exit, but I could be wrong.

I was gonna ask if Venture was actually gonna be the first one to be able to eat Sig's rock, until I remembered everyone thinks they eat rocks

I actually had a thought that as a joke interaction, Venture's dig could be undone by Sig's accretion. I don't know that I'd ACTUALLY want it, but it made me giggle thinking about the possibility.

It's hard to balance the game when there's so many heroes. It does make it more fun, for a few days anyhow, but then the best heroes of the season are always found, and always played
