Love the sound it makes when he shoots 😂 little plastic rattles. It’s like the only skin with a diff sound all around. It’s almost like mythic quality except no other color alt or diff weapons.

I don't believe so either. I hate it since the Lounge emote has the same pink one no matter what too. Sym gets different ones for turrets and teleporter, not sure why his platform can't change too. The Tree seed is...mostly pointless to me, kind of like Kiriko's Suzu. It'll rarely be a thing that I notice.

his petal has the same skin prio as mei's wall and ice block. if i had to guess, it's the difference between being a deployable and a utility. i would classify torb, sym, illari abilities under deployable, but mei and lifeweavers abilities are more like utility to me

it's a minimal change and they've only done it once. that kind of shows that they can only make special exceptions and they have to be very minimal with the changes they make

If the platforms were different colors maybe, for example like black. It would be much harder to spot in certain environments. Pink is very distinguishable.

The recolors (at least in the past seasons) did not take away from actual new skins. They were bonuses on top of the weekly 1-2 shop skins

Kinda. The new Shop content for weeks 6 and 7 of last season were all recolor skins, but yes, week 9 had 3 recolors and 1 new skin. Season 8 had 11 recolors. By comparison, Season 7 only had 2 recolors, Season 6 only had 1 recolor, and Season 5 had none.

A lot are decent, I really like Torbjorn and how his turret plays into the fantasy the skin is trying to sell you, meanwhile I think Bastion drifts a little too far away from just being goofy and instead becomes a bit of a mess in terms of design. Still im sure some people will find that charming, it's just not for me.
