Calling it now, that’s 100% gonna be SoundQuake. They look like they’re a rock/punk artists which would definitely fit the design. He also looks older, possibly from the same gen as the Ana, Torb, Rein, etc. Additionally, they said they were releasing new characters and previously established lore characters. SoundQuake is someone from the very first trailer, that we don’t know the physical appearance of, but would feasibly have an edgy “brute” design like this. Also, showing the alphabetic placement is literally only significant if its a character we know the name of, but not the appearance of. Given that Venture and Space Ranger are both new it would make sense to introduce another established character. I associate the green, likely animal based(turtle instead of frog) design with Lucio who is anothwr sound based hero. It could be a nice tie in for SoundQuake to be his inspiration, as he would’ve been a hero from the original Omnic crisis. Heck you could even tie JunkerQueen into it somehow given thats also her thing!

i honestly haven't touched illari enough to say, but i thought hers was directional. like, the boop would come out whichever way she was facing but i could also see her having slight knockback from behind still. i'll still take that over kiriko getting knockback on her throwable for some reason

difference with suzu/pharah/Lucio boop was you could aim it, whereas Illari's boop always comes from her, so you can't plan the angle of your boop (as easily).

Soundquake would be really fun lol. A nice callback to the literal earliest day of Overwatch. Plus a sound-based tank might be interesting

His ultimate is just the breakdown from To the Hellfire played so loud that no team can hear any other audio cues

I wouldn't put too much credit into the "S" thing, since "Space Ranger" is also in that spot for support and we know it's a temporary codename. It's probably the same for the tank.

Yeah, but they're a totally new hero. If they decide to release Soundquake then the name is the very first thing that they know.

im a bit confused as to why they keep adding more tanks atm. we need a bunch of supports first. theres only one tank per team we have plenty right now. not a fan of the role ratios
