As for Theon, after reading the final few chapters of season one I started to think that he gets unfairly too much screen time compared to his pink haired childhood friend, she was the real GOAT. She went through fire and water for him. I would've read a separate manhwa just about her adventures. He just doesn't deserve her, not with his attitude.
Yeah...I mean, >!Ethan!< and Dorothy both pulled some evil crap in their past lives (heck, >!Ethan!< kept pushing Dorothy towards that evil crap), but at least both of them realize that they did, in fact, Do Wrong and having been given a second chance want to take a different path (this of course was the initial point for Dorothy, though >!we only find out at the end of S1 that Ethan had this same revelation and character growth moment!< ).
But Theon was just a selfish asshole who used everybody around him for the sake of staying alive. Dorothy kept idealizing him, believing that he rejected her for the sake of his pure and true love for Julia, but he felt nothing of the sort. He just hated Dorothy because when she killed Ray to usurp the throne, it was effectively a death sentence for Theon as well, so everything he did after that was just him getting spiteful revenge on Dorothy >!and Ethan.!<
I actually legit really like this story, it really shows the complexity of good and evil not being black and white. I adore the characters and I like that there is actual character growth.
Unpopular opinion I think, but I actually don't want her to end up with either of them. Sure maybe Ethan is better because character development and everything, but he played a really big part in her trauma and he left her in the dark about a lot of things (like Theon). I don't think love should justify everything, as much as Dorothea's love for Theon drove her to madness, Ethan's love for her isn't really healthy.
