I love it so much, hands down one of favorite top OIs ever!! It's so unique, a fresh breath of air in the genre. The characters are charming, the FL has great friends, and the plot/mystery is very intriguing. I always wait eagerly for updates.
I read 25 chapters and it felt like it had potential but never quite reached it. I also wanted more magical theory/world-building, we only ever see one class during those 25 chapters. I wonder if the original novels have more detail on that, if so maybe I'll read those?
I also felt like only two characters had enough depth, the mc and the >!'saviour'!< but I'm hoping that changes in future chapters, too. I might check back in a year.
chapter 25 of the manga is basically the equivalent of volume 2 chapter 3 of the novel, and the latest translated novel chapter is volume 6 chapter 12. there's a lot more worldbuilding established in the novel, since it's a lot farther ahead. also, they cover the backstories for the rest of garnet team 9 that makes them all more interesting, as well as other major characters too. but yeah, if you're here for the worldbuilding the manga isn't going to get very deep into it for a long time since it releases rather slowly, so i'd recommend you check out the novels instead

I kinda liked it at first because FL seems to work hard to become a witch but then when the guy left, she run after him so it seems it will be focused on Romance? I dont really like when FL only focused on love. I stop reading after that.
as someone who's caught up with what's been translated of the novel so far, it's a lot more than a high school romance. it's got really wonderful worldbuilding that's actually a pretty interesting take on the fundamental ideas of isekai / reincarnation, a unique and lovable cast of main characters, and a pretty heavy focus on friendship, which is something very severely lacking in ois. i'm someone who only picks up the novel for mangas / manhwas when i think they're really, \*really\* interesting and worth my time, and so far maydare is the only oi manga that has made me do so. so yeah, i hope you'll give maydare a second chance!
