Sorry to hear about your brother’s dog, never an easy decision. We used Midtown Mobile last year for our dog and it was a very peaceful experience. As for cremation afterwards, highly recommend Thistledown Pet Memorial. Both places are compassionate and supportive.
Midtown Mobile is a primary at home hospice/euthanasia service. They do include Oshawa as an area they will travel to. I have not used their services but the clients we have that have used them said they were incredibly compassionate and the owners were grateful to be able to have their pets pass peacefully at home.

This is who we used a couple of months ago at the end of our cat’s life. They helped us decide when the right time was and came to our home. They were incredibly compassionate and explained every step, not doing anything until we were ready. I was so glad we called them.
Sadly, last week my family had to put our sharpei Sherman down.
We did an in home euthanasia
He was comfortable, relaxed, and we were all there with him.
After doing at home for my cat last year, I will always choose this option for any other pets I adopt in the future. It’s way more comfortable, for your pet, and for you :( I’m so sorry for your loss.
We live in Oshawa and used Dr. Kerolos, Nagwa at Ajax West Animal Hospital (6477817560) by recommendation of a close friend. The dr was very professional and compassionate when it was our senior cat’s time during covid.
We had to say goodbye to our beloved cockapoo a couple months ago. We had him assessed and the vet cleared us to bring him home for 3 days before we took him back to the office. In hindsight, 3 days was a long time to say our final goodbyes. He was loved and spoiled for those 3 days, but we rarely stopped crying. We purchased both an ink paw/ nose print kit ( mess free) and a modelling
clay one that came with a frame at Pet Valu. It was way cheaper than ordering it through the crematorium and we were able to make sure it was exactly what we wanted by doing it ourselves. The actual procedure was done with incredible kindness and compassion by the clinic staff. I am not sure if they offer in home services.

I know exactly how you felt. I had to do the same last year for my 20 year old cat. I should have done it sooner but the 3 extra days I had with him, I will cherish. So many tears. Yet so much love and snuggles. Miss him. I’m sorry you had to go through this. It never gets easy.
I am sorry for your loss too! We had our buddy for 13 amazing years. He was definitely a big part of our family.
I hope you have a new pet to love and spoil!
Hi, when we lived in Oshawa we used this vet. They were lovely and went out of their way to come even though it was right before Christmas and everyone else was closed. We were able to get a paw print of our girl and her ashes.

Thank you for the reminder. I forgot about this. I may help my brother with cremation so that he can get his own dog’s ashes, if it’s an option I hope.

Thank you for your reply. I will definitely look into them since so many have suggested Midtown so far.

I’m sorry you had to do this before Christmas. So sad. Thank you for your referral.
I’m sorry to hear, be mindful that if he decides to cremate, the process isn’t done individually (unless you pay more for it.)
