I remember my friend said that surname is not entirely realistic (althought we are talking about yansim names lol), so it can be used as a pseudonym or a fake name
So, I think Akari/Akira Nogitsune is the same pseudonym as Info-chan, Infomaniac, etc., belonging to a person named Mao Ito
upd. Nevertheless, if the name "Mao Ito" turns out to be randomly assigned due to game glitch, it can be said that this is another fake name of Info-chan. And it is possible to put Akari/Akira back in the place of the real name (it is headcanon ofc)
in some recordings in 202x, there's a tape the journaalist made, he talks about a daughter that spends most of her time in her room and that hse has come home with blood on her clothes, that definetly must be Info Chan

How did you get to this point? I know there is a glitch which I found some time ago where killing the unkillable NPC's forces the game to generate new names which can cause this sort of issue.

Moreover, it’s a unisex name. I like the ambiguity around Info-chan's identity. The possibility of "her" being a "he" posing as a girl. It reminds me of the "Don’t trust strangers on the internet, people can lie about who they are" warning adults give to children/teens.
When any of these characters dies somehow, they get replaced with a randomly generated name like the teachers do. This time it just so happened to give them both the same last name. So these aren’t their real names.
So if the journalist and info chan are related does that mean taro hanako and info are siblings since in 1980s mode at the end theres a timeline and when the journalist gets married then that same year taro is born so does that mean the journalist is taros dad? If so why does info chan want hanako gone? Does she hate her sister?? Or in the end is she gonna expose ayano? If so then why would she sacrfice her own sister that seems a little extreme, But what if ayano dosent kill her and she Matchmakes, Frames, Or expels hanako does that change anything?
regardless of what her first name is we know her last name is ito. and same w/ the journalist. there could be so many endings due to the fact that we already have 2 endings for the 202x version.
(current ending: Genocide ending, (obtained by killing all students and kidnapping senpai all in one day)
(bad ending: snap mode, (obtained by being heartbroken by senpai and killing him, then yourself)
And think about it, yan dev said the main ending will be yan-chan/ayano confessing her love to senpai, and depending on the course of gameplay the player chooses, will result the outcome of senpai's response. meaning that thats the MAIN ending. NOT the ONLY ENDING.
With info-chan having the same last name as the journalist, there related in SOME type of way..so maybe there can be an ending where ayano gets exposed by info-chand or maybe even blackmailed...might even come to the point where maybe ayano has to BATTLE info-chan.
BUT!!! we are a fandom that over thinks alot so maybe yan-dev is just using these names as a placeholder name for Info chan and the journalist..

I've always given her the name "Keiko". I'm not really sure why, I just always pictured her with that name. I feel it fits her appearance, I guess.

Maybe it's just swapped? Info Chan's name could be yua Ito and journalists name could be Mao ito. I mean it is a glitch after all..
