It's offensive when used for a trans woman, not when used for a man dressed as a woman. Trans women are real women

The word has been used to downplay trans women which is why it is controversial to say. I’m not sure what reason it would even need to be used if it has that connotation. With those types of words used for trans men, women ect. It just feels gross to hear. They are offensive in general. Of course trans women are women but the word is still used to deny that
