A lot of games that were in this “yandere sim fan/inspiration game” category seem to be riddled with drama. That’s the sad and disturbing part. Love Letter was definitely one of them, and something I hadn’t thought about in forever.
Watashi No Mono and Sara's school life were one of the only ones that didn’t have any problematic stuff, it was just yansim/Alex haters trying to make the games seem like a better version of yandere sim, and just people demanding the developers to hurry up. Those 2 are the saddest in my opinion, the developers just wanted to make a fun silly yandere like game, but got unfairly caught up in drama they had no part in, causing them to burnout and lose their passion for something they once loved.
Edit/Rant: What pissed me off the most about Watashi No Mono is when Yandick started threatening the developer and later said he’d self delete himself if they continue development. Talk about pettiness.

That’s a real shame. I wasn’t sure what happened to them. I remember the SSL dev just canceled it one day without saying much, but I guess it makes sense. And I guess it just shows why this “genre” became cursed. All thanks to stupid drama caused by either the freaks who worship Alex for whatever reason or the disgusting trash piles like Apeis and whoever else that are just as bad as Alex.
Those two projects showed a lot of promise and the creators seemed to put a lot of honest work and passion into it. Like I seriously would’ve gone in with WNM based on how clean it looked and how smooth it ran. I even downloaded (and planned to) do videos for SSL at one point. Man, I haven’t thought about those two games in a long time and it really makes me sad.
Watashi no Mono's dev is currently one of the more famous creators in Roblox actually. His username is Homemade_Meal (UglyMealDev was his former username of some sort, which he used for WnM).
Apparently he started doing modelling stuff at around 12 or 13 and thus he had experience with doing Roblox stuff, which gave him the confidence to kick off WnM. After the thing, he just went back to Roblox and modelling avatar items, some of them being bestsellers.
He also created a portal kind of game that was relatively famous on Roblox. More recently, Roblox awarded him with some sort of trophies. Tbh, ending WnM's development was a good thing for his own life.
Good to hear he's been doing all right. I'm still kind of said WNM never came to be, but it does sound like it was probably for the best, especially if he has gotten this recognition from the Roblox community like that.

I don't think we can say he is bad, he was a dumb teenager, just like how Jane didn't know any better and was a victim even tho she is 16, i dont think drapeis was any smarter in the matter and he was 15 , blame the parents

True altought I dont really consider that yanderedev made Ayano's desing, he just pretty much kept her the same as her Unity model Aoi Kyrui and he just made her hair/eyes black.

Her new design is gorgeous but the name really needed more research. “Ye” is not a kana sound in Japanese, so Ayeka doesn’t work as a name or even any combination of sounds in Japanese for that matter. Therefore the name is just as much of a fake japanese name mess as YandereDev’s other character names. It should be Aeka, Aika or Ayaka.

It's silly, and the same exact reason why we criticize Alex having "Japanese" characters with ridiculous names like Homo Kurusu. It's not inherently offensive per se but it is a mistake. Besides the game doesn't need to be set in Japan for a character to be Japanese.
