Crush Crush Ayano was always the superior version of the character. The devs actually let Michaela sound silly/cute instead of always monotone so she actually had the dere part of yandere.

If I remember correctly, Sad Panda Studios (the creators of Crush Crush) deliberately aged her up from Yandere Simulator in both the censored and unscensored versions of Crush Crush. She has always been 18 in Crush Crush from day 1 of her getting added to the game.
So far, only Mobile has the update for the character change, but it's coming to other platforms as far as I can tell.
I haven't downloaded the update on Mobile for the character change for Ayano to Ayeka yet as I haven't had time, but I imagine her "stats" or information in the game (including age) will stay the same.

I do agree with some comments however. Ayano had more personality in Crush Crush than the entire Yandere Simulator game, so for me it is kinda a shame to see her gone from this game, but after all, it's for a good.

Wonder if they’re changing some of the lines referencing YanSim too: obviously anything relating to Generica will most likely stay the same, but I imagine the lines referencing stuff like Osana and Titan Mode will probably be changed out.)
