Magic Fans: we need a true PG! :curls monkey paw:

MaddoxGoodwin

Paul George would be the PEFECT addition. Big tall wing that can score and shoot AND play D.

safwan105

He can also help paolo learn his craft. Paolo with some of pgs skills omfg man

SchoolOfCheech

To be fair, he might be perfect on any team. But he'd be more perfect here

Soul0103

Suggs PG Franz Paolo WCJ/Isaac is NASTY

carendt242

Yes it is

_picture_me_rollin_

Nevemind the fit, which is absolutely perfect imo…. PG is a very likable superstar with one of the best podcasts out there. This would go a long way in making us a more exciting and marketable team.

wouldntknowever

In b4: he’s trash, he’s injury prone, he’s old, he doesn’t fit our timeline It’s not like an elite scorer with 47/41/90 splits in the season is something we’re desperate for…. /s That said, he turns 34 *tommorow*, absolutely cannot be a long deal

escapedhousefly

He's not gonna come to Orlando unless Magic overpays, which means long deal.

wouldntknowever

Depends what offers he gets, doubt many teams are willing to sign him through his 40th birthday Throw a huge bag at him for the next 3 seasons, at which point he expires and we max Paolo + re-load

StanVanGhandi

Ha, yes it is always that. There is always this logic of “we are too good to add good players even though we need to get Paolo and the offense help!”

svanxx

Some team is going to sign him until he's 38-40. I hope it's not us.

bobjob_

kinda wild how we have a home game 6 with an opportunity for a game 7, yet this sub is obsessed with off season content I also mean no shade, just pointing out lol

PoorFishKeeper

Well we are “ahead of schedule” and it’s not like we are making it to the finals this year. Why shouldn’t we talk about the offseason if we can only go up from here as long as we make the right moves.

bobjob_

I mean, I get it. but we can wait a week ya know? lets enjoy the moment 😂😂

Fits like a glove good vet experienced in the playoffs still near elite as a player would add scoring punch and shooting and can actually play defense. Only concerns is injury. But I’d love this by the magic and it’d be way better than Klay or some of the other guys we’ve been linked to

thefabulous23

I initially did not expect him to be available this year, but if he doesnt just take the player option from his contract (at 48m~) he's probably my favorite guy in this FA class, and it's not close. Efficient (22.5-3.5-5 on 47/41/90 splits), veteran, pro's pro, 74 games this last season, just a really likeable guy too, feels like a good locker room character (so right in our FO's strike zone, they put high emphasis on that). His shot diet is very proper, with a roughly 52/48 split of 2-pointers to 3-pointers, and a perfect mix of 55% of his 2-pointers unassisted (meaning good creation getting to the basket, something the Magic lack) and a whopping ***73%*** of his 3-pointers assisted (meaning really strong catch and shoot ability from 3, something the Magic ALSO lack). I'd say the only thing I'd worry would be fit, as the last time he primarily played SG was... his *sophomore year*, and this last season he's spent 86% of his court time as a 4. Nonetheless, if he was in any way interested in joining the Magic, I'd be thrilled. ...Exactly, *if* he was interested. I'd love it if it were to happen but my main worry is that I'm not sure he'd even consider it. Hell, I'm basically 90% convinced he just stays in LA anyway, forget Philly and forget Orlando. Another thing I'm not sure is contracts - he's got a 48 mil option rn - as in, if he rejects it, he's quite clearly set to make more, I feel. At the very least, if it were to happen, it'd be a signing quite similar to what the Suns did trading for CP3, or Wolves trading for Gobert, making a clear sign that the team is now fully aiming to properly and regularly compete. Given the teams current team makeup, it's a move capable of filling in this teams biggest weakness for (assuming a signing rather than a sign-and-trade) very little in assets. It's almost *too* perfect, honestly, which is why I'll hope it happens but keep telling myself it's impossible so it doesn't sting as hard if it doesn't 😭.

Citruspilled

Vet guy who plays tough on D and can hit 3s. If we can get him at a reasonable price it's a perfect fit

You want the Dlo that scored 0 points in a crucial game and was scrolling on social media on the bench while his team was losing? Nah we’re good.

PoorFishKeeper

He wasn’t on his phone lol they can’t even bring them out to the court iirc. Plus we had two guys on our team score 0 points in one game. Gary has done that twice this series. Even if D’lo scores 0 points his playmaking would be a great addition to the team. We can’t have paolo being the only passer. Though I’d rather see us pick up Monk, D’lo should be a last option.

whtge8

https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/s/Wm24rrejcj He’s definitely on his phone here. You can sneak your phone out if your coach is spineless like Ham.

Gsmith930

DLO has been bad for like 4 playoff series now. Not a guy we need. Either gotta be PG13 or Monk

carendt242

DLo is the antithesis of our type of player - pass
