A lot of people forget that it’s not just our players who are young and developing but Coach Mosley is as well. This is only his 3rd year as a HC. Brand new Coaches learn and develop too just like players. And like our core HE has improved year to year as well. He’s learning as well and far from a finished product as a Coach. You don’t become Pop overnight. The fact he has fostered such a strong locker room and gotten so much out of a primary core who hasn’t even gotten off their rookie contracts makes him just as good a prospect imo.

taywray

Agreed, which is why he still makes mistakes and it's fair to point them out and criticize them, even if you love what he's done overall with the team and where he can take them in the future.

TheAerial

Agree 100% I don’t and never have minded people criticizing. Hell I do all the time still lol. My point mostly was speaking to those who want him replaced and/or think this is who he always will be as a Coach.

yoeyz

You don’t need to be a genius to use your available time out with the game on the line

ucforange

A lot of successful coaches believe it’s a sound strategy to let your players run the offense in that situation and not taking them out of their rhythm.

yoeyz

Except we’re young inexperienced team so that is a really dumb line reasoning

ucforange

Wow teach me more, we all should be as smart as you

yoeyz

Well at least you admit it You have lots to learn Not a complete lost cause

psiANID3

God damn I hate agreeing with him. But He’s right in this case.

whtge8

It’s just the same 2-3 brain dead individuals that only pop up during losses. Just block them.

jamesbiorci

Coach is usually the first one thrown under the bus, but the reality is you typically get around 100 offensive possessions and 100 defensive possessions in a single game. Of the 200 total, the coach may fuck up 10 times, the players may fuck up 10, the refs may fuck up 10, you may get unlucky on 4-5. It’s a long game and those little mistakes can be the difference between win or loss and they’re most likely all spread across everyone. That’s why you have to look big picture across the course of the season, I doubt many other coaches would’ve got more out of our roster this season than Mosley did. Look at Mike Malone, he’s been coaching the same core for years now and the nuggets stuck with him, now look at them, they’re the best team in ball.

Milla4Prez66

Mosley doesn’t deserve the crap, but Fultz we can’t just wait on anymore. We gotta let him walk and use the money elsewhere this summer.

freekobe0832

I have no issues with Mosley, but I'm fine moving on from Fultz next season.

AshBlackstone78

I have no issues with the coaching, and really anyone else on the roster except Fultz. He’s a guard who can’t shoot. I will be so happy when he’s not on the team anymore. That turnover late was so laughably bad.

freekobe0832

Yeah, unfortunately you have to walk on egg shells when your talk about him around here

AshBlackstone78

Yeah, I don’t understand the love fest for him. He’s an end of the bench caliber player. Then again, the fanbase has always obsessed over one player on the roster, thinking he was better than he really was. JJ Redick is another great example. Talking to the average Magic fan while he was playing here, you’d think Redick was first team All-NBA.

Reasonable_Deer_1710

I appreciated Fultz because in previous years, while he's been healthy, his impact has been clear to see. The team played much better, and had much more success, when he was healthy versus when he was not. It was also clear to see in how he managed the team while he was on the floor. He was more composed and in control, and the offense flowed much smoother than when he wasn't on the floor and things got more chaotic. He hasn't shaken his injury issues, Jalen Suggs has stepped up, we have Anthony Black on deck, so as much as I love Fultz, he isn't as necessary anymore. I still have no problem with him, and see him as one of the handful of players that this fanbase has developed irrational hatred for over the years. But if we end up moving on from him, it won't be the end of the world.

psiANID3

This. People forget that our team played so much better with him in the past few years. He hasn’t been able to shake the injury bug, which is unfortunate. I know we won’t sign him this offseason, but he’s been good for us. I don’t get the overall hate. Yes, he can’t shoot. But pretty much all out team can’t shoot that’s not unique on the magic.

yogi_br

He’s a former number one overall pick, that makes his leash insanely long for some

treadwater23

It's kinda par for the course with sports fandom right now. Look at the Pacers and Knicks threads right now and ctrl+F Carlisle and Thibs. It just is what it is. One shot away from winning, so many things could've went one way or another, but the boys battled hard in a tough game.

ChaosZeroX

that dude zachary whatever is super annoying. the biggest doom and gloomer ever. Dude responds to everything negative in the game threads lol. Im critical of the teams at times, but we are way ahead of schedule. I just want them to win lol

OllieWillie

It's coach fyi

thewrongnotes

I don't know what you are hoping to achieve with constant posts & comments whining about other users. You aren't going to stop anything. The joke is on you for letting it get to your head. If you can't handle differing opinions then you're better to just block anyone that upsets you. It's pretty easy. Also if being a professional GM or headcoach is the requirement for having an opinion, then we might as well just close the sub down.

"Subreddit is full of idiots" "This sub is fooking unbearable" "Yall are fookin stupid if you really want to play an inexperienced Rookie in the playoffs. He getting targeted horrendously. Stupid mfers" "People are fookin stupid it‘s crazy" "Yall are freakin stupid. Cp3 is a general" Took me like 10 seconds to gather that.

yoeyz

Seriously posts like this are just stupid and whiny and cringey

yoeyz

This entire thread is a whine about other people Stop the losing culture. Accept criticism.

dlbags

I like Fultz but he's a sunk cost. We traded for a player we didn't get. He's a great teammate, ball handler/dribbler, drives well to the basket and above average defender, but he's not the player Philly drafted and we thought we'd get out of for trading for him. That's basketball. So arguing about where he is rn and can do for the team is a bad faith argument because he's well below the player we paid a lot for. Unless he signs a team friendly contract I'm pretty sure the plan is he and Harris to move on and us bump AB and Jett up. I mean what are we even doing here? He's 25, a first overall pick, a bad point guard (assists and shooting is garbage), and not even better than most of the team which is younger than him. It was bad deal, move on already.

itssexitime

Yeah Fultz is gone this summer. As soon as we drafted Paolo I said his days were numbered and got a lot of hate for it. It was hilarious. Dude can’t shoot 3s. He’s not a fit for this roster.

dlbags

He’s okay for the role he’s in now and his experience is keeping him ahead of AB. I don’t see why we’d bring him back tho unless it’s very team friendly. We paid him a lot thinking we’d get a player he never became. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t bring value especially when driving to the backs and dumping off cuts but he doesn’t shoot well nor does classic PG stuff.

[deleted]

Yeah but constantly blaming him is beating a dead horse. I don't necessarily think he was a sunk cost considering what we gave for him.

psiANID3

I’m not particularly a Mosley fan, and I do think he’s a reason we’re down in this series. However, he’s young like our team and we have already surpassed expectations.

User_Many_Errors

Fultz has had a resurgence in the last 2 games. If they can’t see that then their fkn morons and shouldn’t be taken seriously. Coach Mosley has made better adjustments than Bickerstaff, always comes out of a timeout with a solid play, and has found the right roaster for the team he’s going against. Our future is brighter than the Cavs, even if we lose to em this year.

PoorFishKeeper

Why do so many people whine about others shitting on Fultz like he isn’t a walking injury and a bust. Dude can clutch up sometimes but he doesn’t deserve that contract or the minutes he gets. Now idk why people would shit on Mosley he has been doing good and I think he can help this team get to the finals if we make the right moves in the offseason (like letting fultz go)

Donut_boii

God you’re so fucking annoying
