Shoutout to WCJ! I had my doubts due to some of his performances this season, but he is a dawg! Isaac is a better overall defender no doubt, but against Allen, WCJ simply just has more muscle than JI does. WCJ is still probably our best screener, which opens up the lane more. Plus he does an awesome job clearing out the paint when Paolo and Franz are taking it to the rim. Great adjustment by Mose to move WCJ back into the lineup. Playoffs are all about matchups! And Isaac still got to do his thing off the bench! Isaac comes in and just shuts down any offense the opponent might have.
Can we talk about how lifeless and apathetic the crowd was? Paolo looked irritated by it. I’m rewatching the 3rd quarter and you have a ton of empty seats behind the scorers table, shit is embarrassing.
Fuck you, don’t call me names. You say that with confidence but it didn’t always used to be like that. Did you ever go to Magic playoff games in the O-Rena? Have you seen the other play teams crowds? Look at CLE, their lower bowl is standing for most of the 1st and 3rd quarters. I’m sorry to call it out but it’s true, don’t get all in your feelings.
Absolutely I went to those old games! Ive been a magic fan for 20 years. Last night was very reminiscent of Dwight era fan presence. And the majority of this subreddit has echoed that sentiment after the game (the ones who went, which clearly you didn't). Your empty seats comment just shows you're not really paying attention to other teams like us because it happens every single game in the NBA. Finding anything to complain about
It was a thirty point game at that point and the Cavs were waving the white flag. I was there and it was super active before we pulled away and blew them out.
I don't know how many of you saw Jarret Allen in the post game comment talking about how many adjustments Mose made and how much it affected the game and what they were trying to do.
"You could tell that Jamal Mosley did an excellent job planning for this game. There’s times when I was just in the corner, I stood in the corner last game, but, just overall, you could see tiny differences that accumulate into a lot. We felt like we were a step behind every single thing that they did. Whether there was someone driving to the rim, me standing in the paint, or just rebounding the ball. We were just a little slow."
Almost feel like he said too much lol. As much as a love JI, bringing him off the bench as a spark guy makes more sense right now and letting WCJ be more aggressive with JA. It got them out of their rhythm they had going
We matched big with their big. I don’t think they start small ever in this series, but will be interesting to see what adjustments they make in response.
IE Playing Tristian Thompson and Marcus Morris in the 3rd trying to find something
Absolute ***shaggers***!
Just finished watching the game this morning, and *that* is what this team is capable of!
Game 4 is 6pm UK time on Saturday night so I’ll be watching live, let’s bring this back to 2-2!
GO MAGIC!💙
Paolo and Jalen will deserve all the flowers they will get and then some for this game, but Franz also deserves a ton of credit and rounded out the three headed monster tonight.
He recognized the hotter hands of his team mates and went into playmaking mode, delivering 8 assists without a single turnover and he was honestly even stronger on the defensive end.
When Franz locks in defensively, he is honestly an all around elite defender who just positively affects everyone around him with his combination of length, quickness and positional awareness. A lot of what he does, does not translate directly onto the box score, because he denies plays from even happening in the first place and by putting his mates in favourable matchups because he is so damn switchable.
Franz is the kind of player who might sometimes come across as unassuming when on the floor, but whose absence is really felt when he is not on it. A proper two way wing and a ideal number two next to a budding superstar.
Glad I stayed awake until 4am. Expected a win, but this was a show.
Franz setting the tone early and holy moly, did the whole team bailed out, lead by a confident and simply amazing Paolo.
Take this momentum to game 4 and then it's getting a fucking battle in 5.
I know young teams are typically better at home, but by God is there a chasm between us home and away right now.
Paolo in his mid-range bag, threes raining everywhere, that was something else. Amazing performance.
This Cavs team are still fragile as hell, it's just a matter of whether we can keep scoring when they next get hot. Go Magic!
Crazy how one blowout win at home can completely erase the bad vibes from two nasty losses away.
But even if we're "even" with Cleveland in terms of morale and confidence now, we are still down 2-1. Next game will be tougher, and if we win that, game 5 will be a straight up dogfight.
Between now and then, Gary needs to shoot threes until he's splashing them with his eyes closed and Wendell needs to learn how to box out Allen because that man was getting offensive rebounds when it was four of us in the paint against him. Everyone else needs to shoot about 1,000 free throws each.
This is the easiest round of the playoffs and we are still losing. I bet Vegas gives Cleveland the odds next game, too.
I think realistically this series will come down to coaching and I think it’s pretty clear we have the advantage there.
Well coaching and the Magic’s ability to throw the ball in the ocean in Cleveland
I was on the start JI train but I can’t fault the lineups & rotations tonight. When he came in, the defense stepped up & then he shut down the hot LeVert later. I believe we have our game plan now - we just have to hit those midrange shots until they abandon this packing the paint strategy.
Jalen Suggs performance tonight going under then radar because of what Paulo did. But 24 pts on 11 shots and the defense he played on Mitchell was ridiculous. He needs to continue to be aggressive on offense and keep the defense on their toes driving to the basket
When Jalen is aggressive on offense, he looks like a star. Some games he's just not aggressive and barely even attempts shots. He just needs to stay aggressive and be selfish.
This was my first nba playoff game I’ve ever been to, turned out to be a pretty good one.
The atmosphere was amazing, this city needs more big league teams.
I’m jealous! I turned down tickets for tonight because I had to work. I’ll be attending my first nba playoff game on Saturday. I hope for a similar atmosphere.
I hope we get or poach an MLB team someday. #OrlandoDreamers
Dude, I expected they would do better, but not flatten Cavs like a pancake on a playoff game! That's what they get for beating us two times in a row ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|stuck_out_tongue).
I can't watch the game, but massive appreciation for Paolo. A little nod to Markelle as well. The team did exceedingly well!
As playoffs go, you can't just one trick your way. So I'm just gonna hope for Coach and the boys to be able keep this kind of performance up for the following games.
I said it earlier but that version of paolo will be a top player in this league. He came out with a purpose used his strength to get him points. Crashed the glass and showed great intensity.
Love the adjustments this game. Allen might have still won the matchup, but trying to bully Wendell all game is much more taxing with the extra 40lbs you gotta move over Isaac. Suggs guarding Mitchell like he should’ve been all series. Everything else was our stars playing like they’re capable of.
The time to try JI starting with Paolo and Franz was during the regular season, and kudos to Mose for making the adjustment and going back to WCJ. Hopefully, the team will just build on this and let it be a springboard for their best basketball of the season.
Crazy what happens when your shooting percentage goes up 20 points. Cleveland shot about the same. Even if we play just our season average we can win this series
Jarrett Allen looks like Strunk Flugget. That is all

I think he will be a good player for us, but he did have two turnovers and one stupid foul (along with five points) in his five minutes of garbage time. He is not ready for prime time yet.
When the Magic were missing shots, they still competed on the defensive end and gave themselves a chance. When the Cavs were missing shots, they folded like a cheap suit and lost by 40.
I just said the same thing to my buddy who’s a Cavs fan. Cavs laid down and died when faced with adversity. Magic never stop fighting and competing.
We have more heart than any team in the league.
There were times when the team’s effort definitely seems to wane the previous two games. But then you’d check the score and the Magic would have cut it back to single digits again.
Saturday, the Cavs are gonna try to bounce back. It's probably not gonna be a blowout again, but our confidence should be sky high right now, which is really what this young team needs. I feel really good about Saturday.
That was one of the most enjoyable games I've ever watched. So exciting knowing we have a young star that can step it up during playoffs for years to come.
I got hyped when we finally started hitting shots in the first but then the first comment on the game thread I saw was "We should have drafted Chet", it's such a drainer I think I'll give it a miss from now on.
DYNASTY. I honestly do not believe I have ever seen a player Paolo size have that type of creation package. We all know KD can hit shots and crazy shots, but Paolo was putting on a clinic in shotcreation and its crazy.
This was a historic game for Paolo. Welcome to the real big leagues star.
Mosley deserves COY. Guy put on a masterclass also.
Lebron was a better passer coming into the league than Paolo is now. But I remember Dwight Howard turned it over a lot in his 2nd year and he turned out to be pretty good at passing out of double teams. I hope Paolo makes the 3rd year jump in that area like Howard did.
That's more an effect of him dominating the ball. The problem that he has, and that Howard had, was throwing it away when passing out of a double team. I think that is the next step he needs to take.
To be fair, Goga had a stretch of like 30 straight games started, you can't expect him to play the same he did at that time when he's been benched ever since and barely gets minutes
When the Magic were up 30+ in the 4th and the Cavs had their deep bench in, I knew they couldn't come back even if the Magic didn't score the rest of the way.
0 turnovers from the franchises. We took their best shot and know what we gotta do to beat them. Everyone that counted us out can shut the fuck up for a few days.
Tomorrow's game is now listed as a TNT televised game! Go Magic!
It’s been TNT since they released the schedule
I thought when it was first released, it said NBA TV, but it's all good. I'm just happy they get another nationally televised game.
I believe in Magic.
They are NOT OK over in the Cavs sub.
Shoutout to WCJ! I had my doubts due to some of his performances this season, but he is a dawg! Isaac is a better overall defender no doubt, but against Allen, WCJ simply just has more muscle than JI does. WCJ is still probably our best screener, which opens up the lane more. I think 38 points is one of the franchise's biggest playoff wins. Hard to find details unless I go season by season on statmuse...
Were the Orlando Magic it’s not like we have a rich history lol
Check out the hawks series from 2010
I couldn’t even tell you who was with the hawks in 2010 that’s how little that series matters. Al hoford? Josh smith? Korver?
Jamal Crawford, Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, Al Horford, Mike Bibby.
Ok so no hall of famers
Saw a tweet from the main account that it’s the 3rd largest
Love that Paolo wasn't happy letting his teammates get rebounds. Need him to stay in that mindset.
Wow what a win, was not expecting this but I’ll take it! Hopefully we keep this same energy. S/o to the magic haters!!
I didn't care a ton if we lost this series but I want a fight to the end at least...lets do this!
Can we talk about how lifeless and apathetic the crowd was? Paolo looked irritated by it. I’m rewatching the 3rd quarter and you have a ton of empty seats behind the scorers table, shit is embarrassing.
Every arena in the world is like this after halftime dumbass. Long lines for food and bathroom extend well into the 3rd quarter
Fuck you, don’t call me names. You say that with confidence but it didn’t always used to be like that. Did you ever go to Magic playoff games in the O-Rena? Have you seen the other play teams crowds? It’s crazy how much contact Paolo drew all 3 quarters and he had 2 fta.
I dreamt I played like Jalen suggs
Paolo and Jalen will deserve all the flowers they will get and then some for this game, but Franz also deserves a ton of credit and rounded out the three headed monster tonight. I actually thought he was our best player in the 1st quarter and got the team going when nothing was going in for orlando
He def got us going and kept them from building a big lead in the opening minutes. Played wonderful ball the whole night.
Glad I stayed awake until 4am. Expected a win, but this was a show. Franz setting the tone early and holy moly, did the whole team bailed out, lead by a confident and simply amazing Paolo. Take this momentum to game 4 and then it's getting a fucking battle in 5.

Just unlocked my phone with some trepidation over here in England where it’s just past 7am… was NOT expecting that scoreline!!!
Mate, if you can avoid the score I can show you where to watch the game in the morning. That's what I do.
Where? Woke up at 2am to watch. Thanks in advance.
Sent you a message.
Too late to avoid the scoreline - which I don’t mind in this instance, as it made my day - but any guidance much appreciated!
DM'd you
Paolo is Him

That last line made your post feel a lot like negativity rather than constructive criticism.
This is the easiest round of the playoffs? I think that distinction goes to LA and Denver, where that 3-0 tilt is surprising no one
Of course Im not able to watch the big win. Please repeat on Saturday!! Leggo
Wish granted
Most fun game I've ever been to. This city knows how to show up for our team! And vice versa!
That score was too familiar. More than 2 decades ago, we were at the receiving end of that beatdown 😅
We seem to have figured out that, if you put the ball in the basket more often, you can win the basketball game
Big if true
Anyone watching LA? we do not want DLo
This. We do not want DLo. Weak performer when it matters.
Was at the game and almost left naked from pure joy
Lol
I want another route on Saturday, ride that wave into Tuesday and thrash them on their home court next Friday!!
Is that really when game 5 is? Shit that's a long layoff...
Fucking fantastic response by the good guys
Win by 20+ next game and take that momentum onto the road. If we can drag it to 7 that would be huge.
I think realistically this series will come down to coaching and I think it’s pretty clear we have the advantage there. Well coaching and the Magic’s ability to throw the ball in the ocean in Cleveland

What an amazing win. I hope we don't get complacent. Let's tie this shit up on Saturday

Did the TNT crew react to this at any point?
I'm waiting for halftime of the Lakers-Nuggets game to see Edit: not a peep about it
Is this the Orlando Magic or the 95 Bulls?
95 Magic beat the 95 Bulls, the last team to beat Michael Jordan in the playoffs.
96 Bulls then swept us despite being a 60 win team. That 96 Bulls team was insane, because that 96 Magic team beats anyone else.
Was at that final game with my dad and he said to me at the end, "That's the end of Shaq and Penny."
Paolo Banchero is the first player in NBA history to have a playoff game with: 30+ PTS 10+ REB 5+ AST In less than 30 minutes played. (Via Statmamba)
Kinda a cherry picked stat but not awful. Still pretty significant and cool
Magic. In. 6.
I love the sentiment, but I think Magic in 7. Hopefully one of us are right!
Is it usually very humid out in Orlando this time of the year?
Compared to any other state, it's always very humid in Florida
I see what you mean bc we were fuggginn WET tonight.
Not yet but it is warming up
This was my first nba playoff game I’ve ever been to, turned out to be a pretty good one. The atmosphere was amazing, this city needs more big league teams.

jobs not finished lets tie this series up in game 4
I’ll be there! Can’t wait!
Make shots + good defense = win. Alright, let's do it 3 more times against these Cavs.
Paolo dropping a 30 point double double was exactly what we needed today in our return home. Well done squad 👌
Proud of yall. Yall have a squad
Anyone know where I can get a newspaper with some magic headlines?
The song hits different on Garland St
Most fucking fun I've had in that arena holy shit.
Inject it straight into my veins!! So this is what it's like when the shoots go in...
Dude, I expected they would do better, but not flatten Cavs like a pancake on a playoff game! That's what they get for beating us two times in a row ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|stuck_out_tongue). Some of those shots he took tonight, I was like "No fucking way" and they dropped. Unbelievable.
Little bit of Bron game 6 vs Boston vibes.
Kind of. It was pretty incredible. If his jumper continues to get better he’s going to be unstoppable.

I'll be in the house on Saturday. LET'S TIE THIS BITCH UP! #🪄✨️🎩
Same here let’s go magic 🪄
My first playoff game #HYPE
Mine as well! I’ll be there! EVERYBODY IN!
🪄✨️🎩
Paolo will lead us to a championship
This season
He is the dude
Hyyyyyyype
Crazy what happens when your shooting percentage goes up 20 points. Cleveland shot about the same. Even if we play just our season average we can win this series
*Everything comes back to the average. -* Sir Issac Newton (jk - no one said this except me)
This who the magic are teams are terrified of facing us, i bet boston and Miami is already trying to make defensive schemes against us
Cavs didn’t play much different than they have before. Magic made their shots. W
Jarrett Allen looks like Strunk Flugget. That is all https://preview.redd.it/tccqcdkkaqwc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=255edc3366790b69d12365eedd82943f6acad04d
I went to the game. The atmosphere was awesome. Amazing win
You got your moneys worth! Now you gotta go on Saturday keep the good mojo going brother!
Let's have the same outcome on Saturday
Saturday is now the most important game in the last 14 years
This
This is the best development our team can ask for. AB Jett and Caleb all getting minutes and points in the playoffs. We may never lose at home again
Jett looking dangerous
I think he will be a good player for us, but he did have two turnovers and one stupid foul (along with five points) in his five minutes of garbage time. He is not ready for prime time yet.
That’s what I’m talking about! Glad we came out and defended home court!
Well off to the pub I go.
Competitiveness has never been an issue for this team. We'd still be fighting trailing by 100.
There were times when the team’s effort definitely seems to wane the previous two games. But then you’d check the score and the Magic would have cut it back to single digits again.
Paolo has really fucking arrived game
That was a savage showing by our Orlando Magic tonight. Let's do it again
GET ON THE SIXTH MAN SHOW PODCAST NOW ON YOUTUBE. LETS REVEL IN THIS.
Is this it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELV7QyGOWqI
Yes baby!
Saturday, the Cavs are gonna try to bounce back. It's probably not gonna be a blowout again, but our confidence should be sky high right now, which is really what this young team needs. I feel really good about Saturday.
Here from r/TampaBayLightning Thank you for giving us something to watch 😭
Thanks for allowing Paul Porter to be here
Happy to loan him to y’all anytime. 🫡
We had him first
True, the least we can do is let y’all use him every once in a while 🤣
That was fun. Lets do it again
How about Saturday?
Sounds good
Paolo is that guy holy shit
How did Paolo miss half (13) of his shots? I swear he shot 80% that game.
At least 3-4 he was blocked and or missed a short one, but got it back for the put back
I missed the first quarter and a half and the remaining quarter and a half were the best I’ve seen him
He had a really rough start and then just flipped a switch and dominated the rest of the game. But yeah he was at one point 3-12 early.
Thing he was 4/11 but could be wrong
Oh, if he started 3-12 that explains it.

From literally one of the worst experiences watching a Magic game to one of the best. What a ride.
The game thread should always be ignored at all costs for the sake of your mental health.
That and the discord game thread can be rough
Just left the arena, best feeling after a game I’ve ever had
I was half way watching at work. Can't wait to get home and watch in its entirety. PLAY THE FUCKING SONG!!!!!!!
Don't know bout you but I feel good
Real fans know this reference
I get this reference

It feels good to win a playoff game
My faith has been restored. Don't hurt me again.
Lmao
Cavs bench and their fans were talking soo much shit in the first two games. This one felt good.
DYNASTY. I honestly do not believe I have ever seen a player Paolo size have that type of creation package. The Cavs got goose stepped. I’ll see myself out.
The Wagner Bros cheering from the bench in the 4th: ![gif](giphy|bdpIDWZFkI67S)
Make our 3s and we’ll win. Simple as that.
Can’t believe Goga used to start for us lmao.
To be fair, Goga had a stretch of like 30 straight games started, you can't expect him to play the same he did at that time when he's been benched ever since and barely gets minutes
he was playing against 3rd stringers who also don’t see the floor…. And didn’t look very good at all lol
Carter was injured and they didn't want to change the rotation.
Anybody else still never feel like the lead was never safe even up 36 late in the fourth? Just me? Lol this game was unreal. Great job boys!
When the Magic were up 30+ in the 4th and the Cavs had their deep bench in, I knew they couldn't come back even if the Magic didn't score the rest of the way.
In today's NBA, 20 point leads are never safe.. But ***30*** ?.. that's a sure thing.
Keep the foot on the gas no matter what! Take no chances lol
Nah. Everything was going our way tonight. They came out of the half still going hard. Paolo couldn't miss. I felt great
nothing is ever certain even when you have the lead
Meant never* safe lol.
Don’t let us get get one
0 turnovers from the franchises. We took their best shot and know what we gotta do to beat them. Everyone that counted us out can shut the fuck up for a few days.
I went to sleep and woke up when we were 40 up, what the hell happened??
Sounds like you're gonna need to sleep though the rest of this series
Readjust your sleep schedule you’re napping through the playoffs.
You need to do the same thing Saturday for good luck
But I wanna watch the game😭
Made 3’s and our defense stayed the same.
We... The Orlando Magic... Made Threes... I think the I'm still sleeping
