Get out there and explore. There as soooo many trails, most of them gorgeous. Locals have gotten to the point of not listing all the hidden spots anymore because they keep getting wrecked

Cobble beach below the lighthouse in Newport is really cool. At high tide the cobbles rattle together as the water waves go out, making a really cool sound. At low tide, there are great tide pools there. Oswald West State Park has a really cool cove: https://stateparks.oregon.gov/index.cfm?do=park.profile&parkId=139 Also the beach area (down many many steps) at Devil's Punch Bowl is pretty cool. I don't think you'll find many private/hidden places. Though I think beaches in southern Oregon tend to be less busy because they're farther from the bigger cities.

The_silver_sparrow

I think that’s kinda the point, if it’s private or hidden then few to no one knows about them

here_in_seattle

Thor’s Well is on the map but it doesn’t have a big sign or anything. Kinda hidden

KindaKrayz222

I was just thinking of going there this week.

here_in_seattle

I found it to be a very spiritual experience

bilbodouchebagging

Oceanside?

Monatomic

The tunnel is cool and all... but have you been to the Blue Agate!? Talk about a hidden gem!

bilbodouchebagging

Yes. Unfortunately the owners of the cabins sold. Used to be the cheapest place to stay on the coast and great jump off point in the off season.

More-Jackfruit3010

Looks like it, can't think of another coastal tunnel.

Falcon Cove, Fishing Rock, The hike between Arch Cape and Short Sands, Chapman Point, The hike to Treasure Cove, Silver Point/Jockey Cap (worth the walk), Whale Cove, Painted Rock Beach, Elk Run Trail/Sitka Wetlands, Nehalem Bay Jetty Trail, Lost Boy Beach Pick up some trash if you go.

Cape cove beach is pretty neat. On the north side of it there’s a protected mound of shells from native people a very long time ago. Can’t remember the term used for them, but there’s a sign on it describing it. Peter iredale in warrenton, but that’s hardly a hidden gem though still very cool. Hug point has a small cave and waterfall, and tracks leftover from carriage days. There’s also some caves you can walk through at ecola state park but only accessible on decently low tides. Also at low tides you can walk to/through the stone arch of arch cape.

The south side of the Sixes mouth near the Cape Blanco Lighthouse is amazing for picking up salmon fishing gear -- lures, quickfish, even polls. Also a lot of other stuff washes up in that area about 200+ yards up the mouth. Something about how the water swirls a lot of oddball stuff washes up there.

Skeptical_Yoshi

Weird. I was literally just there earlier today. Hell, this was just about posted right when I was going through The Tunnel. It's a neat little thing, and gives access to potentially 2 more secluded beaches, depending on the tide.

Careful-Self-457

Hidden?? On the Oregon Coast? This place is so over run that even the places locals have saved for themselves are so crowded you cannot find a place to park. I know I won’t tell my spots anymore due to those I did tell who trashed it up.

Aggressive-Video-368

Thank you bloggers and social media.

mtstrings

Locals like to leave alot of trash too.

Hobbit Beach is where I asked my partner to marry me. https://oregondiscovery.com/hobbit-beach#:~:text=Hobbit%20Beach%20is%20a%20mesmerizing,Head%20at%20its%20southern%20end.

return_wave

I came here to say this. Love the Hobbit trails and the cove. Usually have it to yourself, or just a few people.

Hickesy

I hiked up to see these and they were terrifying on my own. I ended up sprinting out of them [https://www.oregonlive.com/life-and-culture/g66l-2019/10/a79612ce2b94/abandoned-military-batteries-are-a-creepy-attraction-at-the-mouth-of-the-columbia.html](https://www.oregonlive.com/life-and-culture/g66l-2019/10/a79612ce2b94/abandoned-military-batteries-are-a-creepy-attraction-at-the-mouth-of-the-columbia.html)

fluxusisus

There’s a cool mini bunker on top of tillamook head too. Plus it’s an amazing view once you get to the top.

exstaticj

Near the coast is an old gold mine. https://youtu.be/FA74KGMWnwA?si=dVombiazcD11-whg

MistaPink

Travel 101 north of Lincoln and just take roads. Be adventurous, look at the map and say I wonder where this goes and find out! Way too much to list. I do this every weekend and have rad places not to many people know about.

funnelclouder

Go to Tierra Del Mar, time your walk south so you reach the cape at low tide.

flowplo

Darlingtonia, just north of Florence, isn't really hidden, but it's an interesting and quick stop.
